Villa Geranos is a classic three-storey, detached property nestled in the quaint village of Rogdia on the north coast of Crete. Three plush sofas encircle a central coffee table, complemented by a chaise longue, pouffe, and twin armchairs around an enclosed wood-burning hearth. A raised dais features a leather sofa and matching armchairs, along with a bookcase hosting a flat-screen TV. A sleek wood dining table with six white upholstered chairs stands beneath a sparkling chandelier, perfect for some splendid indoor entertaining. The state-of-the-art kitchen is fully equipped with all the built-in appliances you will need to cater for your holiday. A handy guest cloakroom with shower completes the ground floor accommodation.
Take the marble staircase to the first floor where you will find three beautifully-appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, mirrored fitted wardrobes, bedside tables, a dressing table, and a flat-screen TV. The second bedroom has a wrought iron double bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe, and a flat-screen TV. The third has a single bed, bedside table, flat-screen TV, a desk/dressing table, a bookcase, and a running machine to keep you fit whilst away. A sea-view balcony furnished spans the villa's length. A charming library retreat with bookcases, a three-seater sofa, a working desk and chair, a coffee table, and a flat-screen TV is great for those who want to work or hide away with a little light holiday reading. The large stylish has a corner bath, double vanity unit, and a WC. There is a separate bathroom with a shower. On the second floor, a sea-view terrace features a brick-built barbecue, a wood-burning oven, and a dining set for fabulous alfresco feasts
The outside living space is spectacular, with panoramic sea view terraces, Mediterranean-tiered gardens, and impeccably manicured verdant green lawns. The step and ladder entry shimmering swimming pool is surrounded by inviting sun loungers. A two-storey pergola with soft seating hot spots looks longingly out to sea.
The villa comes with many modern complimentary amenities, including air conditioning in the bedrooms, Wi-Fi, garage parking, a dishwasher, an oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, and that must-have espresso coffee maker.
What you should know…
- There is only one shared bathroom at Villa Geranos, which can have a maximum of five guests, (there are two more loos though)
- The villa has a number of steep steps, and a tiered garden, which may be difficult to manage for those with disability issues
- Please note only the bedrooms feature air conditioning

Heraklion is also a wonderful gateway to the charming coastal village of Agia Pelagia, the popular resorts of Hersonissos and Kato Gouves, the nightlife of Malia as well as the stunning landscapes of the Psiloritis Natural Park.
