Overview
Villa Galen is stunning, contemporary and striking whilst still embracing the wonderful, traditional chalk-white curvy and honey-coloured stone Mykonian elements seen all around Mykonos. A wonderfully ambient seaside theme flows through the villa, and fabulous first-class furnishings and accessories make your heart sing. The neutral colours are offset by occasional brilliant flashes of colour or texture. It is imaginative and extremely well thought through to ensure you relax and feel pampered and appreciated. The interior and exterior are equally stunning. Be prepared not to want to leave!
Villa Galen is around 1km from the fabulous Elia Beach and very close to the beautiful beaches of Agrari, Kalo Livadi and Kalafatis. The pretty village of Ano Mera is easily reached in minutes and is perfect for a chilled evening out or Sunday brunch. The villa is built within a very small complex with top-notch private facilities and gardens. Villa Galen is the largest and most spacious of the four villas. The breathtaking views towards the islands of Naxos and Paros are very special and hard to beat.
This wonderful villa has 4 beautiful, elegant bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests though there is also a smaller guest room with its own bathroom and kitchenette that could be used for staff only. It is viewed a maids room but is perfectly lovely. Two of the main bedrooms have stunning ensuite bathrooms featuring traditional curved walls and modern rain showers. Two of the double beds are built-in in the same lovely curved manner and are absolutely beautiful. The two bedrooms without ensuites share a stunning bathroom. The bed linen is luxurious and fitting in neutral colours. Seaside artwork, shells and driftwood continue the provincial beach house theme throughout the villa. Whitewashed beamed ceilings meet oak floors, one-off unique hand-picked furniture, dazzling, contemporary artwork, colourful rugs and cushions and the fabulous curves flow through every space forming shelves, recesses and even chimneys.
The ground floor is open plan with a fabulous unique dining table for eight and a spacious living room with feature fireplace and superior furnishings. The separate, immaculate, contemporary kitchen is stunning and boasts large state-of-the-art appliances and also a modern breakfast table.
The villa is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden of 1200 sqm and fabulous terraces. The wooden pergola that shades the astonishing alfresco lounge and dining areas is very attractive. There are two dining areas to choose from, one seating 6 and the other 10. The barbecue is perfect for alfresco suppers. There is also an amazing fully-equipped bar complete with bar stools. The pool is delightful and large at 14m x 7m. It boasts a jacuzzi and fantastic sea views, creating a brilliant sense of wellness and relaxation.
This villa is a luxurious, tranquil haven. You need to book this one early!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa GalenThe picturesque Ano Mera village is very close to Villa Galen and cannot be missed. It oozes a rustic-chic vibe throughout the narrow, cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings splashed with vibrant colours. You definitely need to take your camera along as well as your appetite. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes, Sunday brunch being a very popular time to visit. There is a fresh produce market in the main square where you can buy some locally made cheeses. The beautiful restored Panagia Tourlaina Monastery has holy icons, paintings and a marble bell tower with intricate folk carvings for you to enjoy. Ano Mera is a great place to shop, second only to Mykonos Town.
Villa Galen is the largest of a group of four villas on an exclusive, small complex overlooking the stunning turquoise sea and Elia Beach. Kalo Livadi, Kalafatis and Agrari Beaches are also great to visit. The beaches on the north of the island are popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers who want to catch the thrilling wind or visitors seeking solitude and peace. Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beach are the famous party beaches with bars spilling out into the sand and international DJ’s arriving once the sun has gone down. They are buzzy and vibrant with cocktails and bubbles flowing! Platys Gialos Beach has many watersports. There are number of dive and windsurfing schools that are based on Platys Gialos and Kalafatis Beaches. The water taxi system allows you to jump from beach to beach on the south coast.
Mykonos’ whitewashed, glimmering Grecian gem, the Paraportiani Church is featured widely on postcards. It is just one of the 800 chapels and churches in Mykonos, but Paraportiani is unique and special and is actually comprised of 5 churches. Also featuring on the postcards are the pretty windmills that perch on the hillside above the atmospheric, waterside Little Venice. There are stunning beaches, swanky restaurants, lush hillsides, azure waters and pretty, traditional villages all waiting to be explored on Mykonos. It is not just a party island!

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Galen is just a few minutes' walk from the spectacular Elia Beach. The beach is perfect for families with plenty going on, but it is not overtaken by beach clubs and party animals. There are fun watersports, sun loungers, parasols and several cafes. Kalafatis, Kalo Livadi and Agrari are very close by. Platys Gialos is popular for watersports, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and flyboarding. Children wanting to learn to dive can take a course with the Mykonos Dive Centre, Go Dive Mykonos or W-Diving. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced divers. The schools are certified by PADI and CMAS. The crystal waters of Mykonos are full of exciting sites to explore. There are two shipwrecks and a wide variety of marine life. You might even come away with some underwater photographs!
The sacred island of Delos is at the top of the list for day trips. The uninhabited island is one of the most important and well-preserved archaeological sites in Greece. The island's ruins include Doric temples, markets, an amphitheatre, houses with mosaics and the iconic Terrace of the Lions. The island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the smallest island of the Cyclades. Boat trips can be taken to the island of Delos from the harbour of Mykonos Town. Day trips usually include some swimming or snorkelling as well.
Mykonos Town's open-air cinema is set in a pretty botanical garden square with lush palms, cacti and colourful flowers. Films suitable for children are shown at 9 pm, and there is another film at 11 pm. The cinema has a restaurant, so it is quite delightful to have dinner and then watch a film. The pelican is the famous mascot of Mykonos, so children like to look out for pelicans over the island. The company Kids Love Greece organise special outings for children on Mykonos, which range from visits to organic farms to Greek cookery lessons, which are such fun. As well as creating traditional Greek dishes, children will learn more about life on Mykonos Island and its people and culture. They also organise guided hiking adventures into the beautiful lush interior of the island and around isolated, quiet beaches. Cycling is another option to explore this lovely island.
