Overview
A two-bedroomed luxury villa that lies a stone's skim from the Ionian Sea, Assos Olive provides the perfect getaway in Kefalonia. Carefully designed modern interiors and high-end facilities ensure a couple or small family-friendly stay that's filled with rest, relaxation and indulgence.
From your private swimming pool and paved terrace, gaze across Myrtos bay and Assos castle. With a rustic stone wall surrounding the villa and a high spot in the mountains too, it’s private and peaceful.
The villa elegantly combines the classic
Mediterranean and cool contemporary style. Think whitewashed walls, stone features and wooden furniture. The blues of the sky and the sea are picked out in the soft furnishings, and there are plenty of seating options to sit back and relax on.
At the entrance of Assos Olive, you’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen with direct access to the south terrace with a barbeque and beautiful outdoor seating area. Cushioned sun loungers, bean bags and chic daybeds also line the swimming pool so you can find your prime spot in the sunshine or the shade.
The bedrooms are all equally stylish. Choose from a large twin with balcony or the master double bedroom with a wardrobe, wing-back chair and cabinet.
Extra thoughtful touches include handing lamps, wall art and chic mirrors. This villa also benefits from a comfortable living area and an indoor dining room with large windows allowing you to enjoy those tranquil vistas even when you're indoors.
With quaint Assos village and the world-renowned swimming beach Myrtos bay both a short and beautifully scenic drive away, this villa is the ideal setting off point for exploring more of Kefalonia.
Wander the cobbled streets taking pictures of the pretty pastel and bougainvillaea-draped houses, sample freshly-caught seafood in one of the tavernas or head to the Venetian castle to learn more about the history of the area. When you get back, cooling air conditioning awaits.

Location
About the surrounding area of Assos OliveAssos Olive is in the quiet and traditional village of Assos on the tranquil Ionian Island of Kefalonia. With its serene natural setting, historic sites and relaxed atmosphere, it’s the perfect place for a holiday.
Kefalonia is also renowned for its varied terrain – from soft sandy beaches to mountain gorges and quaint harbour villages. Spend your days swimming in the crystal-clear waters, exploring the Venetian-style architecture or trying fresh local cuisine like seafood, mezes or moussaka.
The villa itself offers the perfect starting point for exploring more of this beautiful Ionian island. It’s near to must-see sights like the 15th-century Assos castle in Assos village and Myrtos bay with its picture-worthy beach that’s framed by tall cliffs – both seen from your terrace.
In Assos village, there are also verdant forests with pine and cypress trees to explore. The town is small and still retains its old-world charm with classic Ionian architecture and pretty pastel-coloured houses nestled into the steep hillside.
At the harbour, you can while away the afternoon watching fishing boats and luxury yachts mooring, while in the village square there are tavernas, shops and restaurants to dine at or do as the locals do and sip cold coffee.
Assos beach is also a must visit, with its clear waters and fantastic views across the bay. You can relax on the pebbles or swim and snorkel in the sea. From the villa, Assos village can be reached by car. The coastal route to get there is spectacular and takes in the dramatic rock formations and tranquil sea waters.
In Kefalonia, you’ll also find many intriguing caves to discover. There’s the magical underground lake of Melissanthi or Drogarati with its exquisite natural formations. You could also hop on a boat and head to the untouched coves, inlets and secluded beaches.
Some tours stop off for lunch and swimming. Or, for a dose of culture instead, head to Saint Gerasimos monastery. It’s an impressive 15th-century building that sits beneath Mount Ainos, near the villages Falgrata and Valsamata.
