Location
About the surrounding area of Villa AttisWhile you're bound to just want to laze by the private pool, there is so much to see and do on this magical island that it is worth taking a few trips out to explore.
The local village of Sami can provide all you would want during your stay, lovely small shops selling local produce should you want to eat at the villa, the bakeries offer particularly delicious bread and cakes. There is also a good choice of places to eat both at the harbour side and in the small streets in the centre. Children are always made so welcome in the cafe’s and tavernas, eating as a family is very important in Greek culture.
The beaches of Kefalonia are what most holiday makers come for, there are so many to choose from you won’t have to go far to find one. There a several fabulous beaches within walking distance of Sami namely Antisamos, which has been awarded blue flag status and at Karavomilos a peaceful little fishing village accessed from the coastal path that runs from Sami.
Further down the coast is the beautiful beach of Agios Thomas, a picturesque cove with yellow sand, it great for families as the swimming and snorkelling opportunities are wonderful for children and adults alike. The underwater caves and rocky formations are home to many brightly coloured fish you certainly won’t see at home.
Kefalonia is famed for its slow pace of life and chilled vibes. There are many towns and villages where you can really get this feeling, the beautiful village of Fiskardo being one. An historic fishing village dating back to Roman times, situated in the northern most part of the island, fringed by tall pine trees and a picture postcard harbour area with many independent Greek restaurants. The village uniquely still retains some of its stunning Venetian architecture, much of which was lost on the island during the earthquake in 1953. If you have time when you are here, take a walk around to the beautiful Venetian lighthouse believed to date back to the 8th century.

Perfect!
So wonderful to stay at Villa Attis. The house was perfect and the grounds and pool were lovely and well maintained. Rosanna welcomed us and showed us everything and Maria the cleaner did a fab job everyday.
The only issue we had was the pool was cold when we arrived, it was dealt with quickly but this took a day or two to heat up.
Other than that slight issue everything was perfect! Thank you for a lovely holiday. -
Will return!

Wonderful stay!
Wonderful stay in the villa! Everything was as described. The heated pool is a real plus, we bathed every day in May! The welcome was spotless and very warm with Rosanna. The bedding is very good and there is all the necessary equipment in the house. The view from the rooftop terrace to the mountains and the sea is very nice. We had a great time as a couple, very relaxing! Vehicle is necessary for travel.
