This stunning, ultra-modern villa has three spacious ensuites, and sea-view bedrooms, which can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, ideal for a family holiday, or a group of friends sharing. The property is set within its own plot, surrounded by high stone walls for security and privacy, and a glass-fronted terrace, for maximum mountain and ocean views.
This one-storey, detached villa is constructed out of classic Mediterranean whitewashed walls, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, that let in lots of natural light and cooling sea breezes. The windows slide open onto the sea view terrace, which is home to your own private infinity pool. Villa Mitron comes complete with complimentary parking, air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout. The villa’s luxurious interiors are decidedly contemporary, furnished with smart, stylish pieces, and decorated in an understated neutral colour palette, with hints of blue highlights.
Enter the villa to find a bright and breezy open-plan living space, with picture windows that reward the guest with sweeping sea and mountain vistas. The seating area has a comfy butter yellow L-shaped sofa, a wooden coffee table and sideboard, and a flat-screen satellite television. The six-seater dining set commands super views, perfect for some impressive indoor entertaining. The adjacent state-of-the-art steel grey kitchen is fully equipped with the latest built-in appliances and all the gadgets that you will need to cater for your holiday. Three well-appointed sea-view, double bedrooms run the front of the villa, two have double beds, and one has convertible twin beds. All the bedrooms have sleek and chic, ensuite shower rooms, with double vanity units, and sliding doors that open onto the pool terrace.
The smooth slate sea view terrace is the star of the show, with a centre stage step-entry infinity swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by perfectly positioned, iron grey, deep-cushioned, sun loungers, with woven ledges, to hold your books and lotions. Sit in the swing chair as you catch up with this summer’s best seller. Meet for morning coffee at the soft seating area, strategically cornered to maximise those mesmerising views, and watch the yachts sail by. As dusk falls, gather on the terraces for sundowners and watch the sunset over the horizon. Feast alfresco at the natural wood table and woven-wicker six-seat dining set, with dishes freshly grilled on the barbeque, as you raise a glass of local wine to the most memorable holiday.

About the surrounding area of Villa MitronVilla Mitron can be found snuggled on the hillside, overlooking the beautiful Sivota Bay, on the south coast of the Greek island of Lefkada, in the azure Ionian Sea. This impressive position gives panoramic sea and mountain views and offers an escape from it all vacation of privacy and seclusion. The nearest international airport is Aktion, a scenic eighty minute drive from your holiday home. A ten minute drive will take you to the holiday hot spot of the original fishing village of verdant Sivota, with its unspoilt landscape, a bustling marina, luxury boutiques, and a sixth-century castle.
In Sivota you will find minimarts, to supply your holiday provisions, banks, and local tavernas. Take the opportunity to sail aboard a luxury yacht, enjoy an ocean dip, and swim in secret bays and caves. Relax at one of the fabulous beach clubs, many of which offer water skiing and wakeboarding. If you are feeling active, hike or bike the Pindos mountains, or take to a kayak on the Ionian Sea. Row out to the tiny islands of Agios Nikolaos and Mavro Oros, accessible only by small boats. A little further will take you to Vassilki, a picturesque fishing harbour, with lots of tasty seafront seafood restaurants. Head southeast to Vrachrona, where there is an old settlement of ruined houses, and a prehistoric acropolis, dating back to the eighteenth century. The beaches of Ammoussa and Afteli are a twenty minute drive away to crystal clear waters, that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
The sandy beaches of Gallikos, DEI, Zeri, Mega Ammos, and Pisina, are also highly recommended. Go back in time with a day trip to Ioannina, with its sixth-century Cathedral of St Athanasius, and lilac-hued mountain views at sunset. See mother nature at its best at the Ikos-Aoos National Park, with its scenic lakes, rivers, canyons, ancient trade paths, dramatic landscape, and free roaming wildlife. Slightly further away is the must-see town of Parga, with its eleventh-century Venetian castle, colourful architecture, lush greenery, and fabulous beaches offering a selection of water sports.
Five kilometres north of Parga is the Byzantine village of Anthousa, with an early nineteenth-century castle built by the Turkish ruler Ali Pasha, which has great views over the town. Make sure you visit the Old Olive Oil Factory, a private museum that has a restored olive press, and shows you the process of making oil using traditional tools, have a taste and take some home with you. Lose yourself in the ancient legend of the River Acheron, with its mythological connections to the Greek underworld, stroll along its banks, and combine your visit with a hike, horseback riding, or a spot of canoeing.
After all that sight-seeing you’ve earned yourself a day at the beach, Sivota is renowned for its golden sandy shores and crystal clear waters, Valtos and Lichnos for their selection of water sports, Parga Town Beach for its family-friendly small harbour, and Sarakiniko for its organised facilities. For those with itchy feet, venture further afield, and take a ferry from Igoumenitsa, and island hop to the adjacent Ionian isles.

The nearest beach is at the village of Sivota, with islands they can row out to, and beach clubs for some fun in the sun water sports. Beaches that are recommended for being especially family-friendly on the island are: Bella Vrako, which fascinatingly morphs during the day and seasons; Mega Ammos, a long beach with plenty of parking and jet skis; Karvouno, a small sandy beach with clear waters; and Pisina, a blue lagoon with a sandy bottom, that can be reached only by sea, sounds magical.

For your thrill seekers, whisk around the Ionian coastline on a Rib boat, or take in the local terrain, and flora and fauna on a Jeep Safari. The area is surrounded by natural beauty, where they can hike or bike the local mountains, kayak, or canoe down rivers, and walk the well-trodden trails. Enjoy a day trip to the traditional villages of Igoumenitsa and Parga, and visit the old ports, ancient ruins, and medieval castles.
Your kids will love to climb the hillside of the eleventh-century Venetian castle at Parga, then see the nineteenth-century Castle of Anthousa that overlooks the town, built by Ali Pasha, leader of the Turks. Take them around the Olive Oil Factory at Parga, where they can see traditional tools and machinery that crushes the olives to make the oil, sample the end product and take some home with you. Walk along the banks of the River Acheron, with its wild rocks, waterfalls, and springs, where they can learn about Greek myths and the connection to the underworld.
Combine the visit with an opportunity to go horseback riding or canoe down the river. From the port of Sivota visit the verdant islands of Agios Nikolaos and Mavro Oros, which can only be accessed by small boats. On the island of Mavro Oros, go see the fourteen-metre lighthouse built in 1884, by a French company of Ottoman Lighthouses. Travel further afield, and take a ferry from Igoumenitsa to the local Ionian islands, colourful Corfu is just across the water.
