Overview
Exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings add character and charm to this otherwise modern holiday home. Villa Eueteria is a fabulous stone-built property, located in Kalathos Village on the island of Rhodes. Bordered by typical Greek beauty and nature, and with the blue azure of the sea on the horizon, this three-bedroom villa offers all you could need and more!
The main social living space is open plan, with a stylish kitchen, social dining area and a large corner sofa where everyone can gather. The contemporary furnishings and careful design look like they have been taken from an interior design magazine, curated to feel spacious and social, whilst still making guests feel cosy and at home. The kitchen is well equipped so you can prepare all your usual favourites, with a dining table that extends out of the kitchen worktop, perfect for sitting around, sharing nibbles and conversation as you cook. Equipped with Wi-Fi and smart TV’s you can leave the distractions of day-to-day life behind, yet still enjoy all the modern conveniences you are used to.
There are three comfy, air-conditioned bedrooms, two of which offer double beds and the final one with twin beds. The bedrooms offer the same thought out, beautiful design as the rest of the villa, intended to feel peaceful, with traditional Greek details softening the modern vision. There are two immaculate bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bathtub.
Stepping outside, it is almost impossible not to relax! The enchanting private swimming pool takes centre stage, surrounded by sun beds and outdoor lounge areas. The barbecue facility is brilliant, with plenty of room to cook and dine al-fresco. With so much to enjoy at the villa, it can be hard to draw yourselves away, yet with the crystal-clear water of Kalathos beach within a twenty-minute walk, a daily dip in the sea would not go amiss.
The rich history of Rhodes is fascinating to explore, and Villa Eueteria offers a brilliant base for taking in all that culture, on top of the amazing countryside and coastline which you must discover. For a family of six, or a group of friends, this stylish villa is a great choice!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa EueteriaVilla Eueteria feels private and tranquil, with serene views across the surrounding nature, all the way to the sea on the horizon. The location is fairly ideal for exploring all the beauty and nature Rhodes has to offer, with delights on your doorstep and surprises across the entire island.
The villa itself is located within Kalathos Village, where you will find all the necessary conveniences you could need. The village is one of two halves, with a traditional feel blended in with a modern resort village that draws in many visitors. Kalathos beach is one of the longest, cleanest beaches on the island, easily reachable within a twenty-minute walk of the villa’s front door. Supermarkets, pharmacies, bars, restaurants, and car rentals are all within a short stroll, perfect for when you need to rush out and grab something, or an impromptu aperitif on the beach!
We recommend a visit to Lindos, reachable within a ten-minute drive of Villa Eueteria. Lindos Acropolis is one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites of Rhodes and the area offers some of the most idyllic beaches on the island, with Saint Paul’s beach being a firm favourite among guests.
For nature lovers, there are endless spots to visit and sights to see. With luscious countryside and breath-taking beaches, everyone will find something to love. The Valley of the Butterflies is one of the best-loved attractions on the island, though the best time to visit is in the summer months. The Epta Piges (Seven Springs) are another highlight, with peaceful wooded areas, a lake, and impressive waterfalls.
For a day trip away from the villa, the capital of Rhodes is well worth the forty-five-minute drive. Known for its buzz and liveliness, you will find restaurants, bars, and shops, tucked away into the winding streets in the medieval Old Town. One of the top sites, is the Palace of the Grand Masters. Visitors can explore this mighty fortress and its rich history. Within the complect, you will find the Rhodes’ Archaeological Museum, as well as various exhibitions and performances that are hosted through the year. Mandraki Port is fantastic to walk around, and you can visit Rhodes Aquarium or Elli Beach, both within easy walking distance of the town. Rhodes city is also the centre of the island’s nightlife. The huge casino stays open late into the night, and there’s clubbing and lively bars on Orfanidou Street and, in the Old Town, Miltiadou Street.

The Island/Getting There
Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands of Greece. It’s got a lot of history as it’s been invaded a lot by the Persians, Carians, Ottomans, Italians, and Germans.
Average temperatures go from 20’c in April up to 30’c in July/ August and down to 20’c in November. With an average of 85 rainy days a year they get sunshine for around 280 days.
The island is 90km long with Rhodes town at the northern tip. The airport (Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras") is also in the North (15km from Rhodes Town). Charter flights and Easyjet operate direct from the UK all season and out of season (Nov-March) you’d need to fly via Athens.
The Acropolis – The Acropolis that sits high above the town of Lindos is absolutely amazing and is a must see if you’re looking for some of the best views in all of Rhodes. One thing I should mention is that the climb up to the acropolis requires you to be somewhat active and able to climb stairs, lots of them. The trail begins through town and slowly but surely starts to get steeper as you climb the hill towards the acropolis. Once there, you’re rewarded with historical buildings dating back to 300 BC. Our Villa Corteau sit just underneath the ruins.
Rhodes has over 40 beaches, here are a few:
- Anthony Quinn’s Bay – Anthony Quinn’s bay is one of the most beautiful bays. The bay is located 17km (10 mi) south of Old Town Rhodes and offers some incredible photo opportunities to say the least.
- The beach at Anthony Quinn’s bay is one of the best beaches in Rhodes. Get there early if you want to snag a sunbed and umbrella and enjoy wading around the bright blue and green water. Amazing!
- For the best views of Anthony Quinn’s Bay from above, head on up to the windy road that leads up the hill just north of the bay and you’ll find a spot where you can sit and enjoy the virtually 180 degree views of Rhodes and its coastline.
- Tsambika Beach (or Tsampika) – Tsampika beach is located 30km (18 mi) south of Old Town Rhodes and is a great place to spend the day in the sun. Note: Beware there is a small section where nudists congregate on Tsampika beach
- Lakido Beach – Just opposite Anthony Quinn’s Bay is Lakido beach. It’s literally 3 minutes walking distance from Anthony Quinn’s bay so visiting both beaches in a day is totally doable. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend visiting both if you get the chance
- Faliraki Beach – One of the most popular tourist spots on the island of Rhodes. It was known for 18-30’s holiday in the 90-2000’s but I don’t think there is that market so much now. It is quite commercialised now there are water sports and a few diving schools.
How to reach Rhodes island
There are two ways to reach Rhodes Island: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: If you don’t want to lose time you can fly to Rhodes (RHO) from Athens. The flight lasts 1 hour. Many direct flights also operate from many European countries, so it will not be difficult to arrive there.
By ferry: If you choose to travel from Piraeus to Rhodes with a ferry, it will surely take you much longer but travelling with a ferry in the summer nights can be pretty enticing! The port of Rhodes is located in the southern part of the island and offers bus services to the town centre. You can easily book your ferry tickets using the link below or the booking engine.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Eueteria is a popular choice among guests of all ages, offering a fantastic location, walking distance from the beach and with plenty of space at the villa both inside and out. The large private swimming pool is of course a favourite perk, so kids can hop in and out of the water all day long, whilst adults can lounge around on the sun loungers, soaking in every minute of sunshine and relaxation. With the main living space designed to be open plan, it makes family life as easy as possible, allowing you to all co-exist in one space, enjoying time together even when you are all busy doing different things. Equipped with smart TV’s and Wi-Fi, kids can keep up with all their usual activities and socials, though with a pool, beach and barbecue to contend with, we are sure they won’t be inside for long!
Located within Kalathos Village, you can find restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, and the beach all within walking distance. This means no loading kids in and out of the car every day, and any last-minute things you forget are easy to pick up in the village. The beach itself is one of the longest on the island, so kids can spend hours snorkelling and swimming the length of the beach! For the best snorkelling adventures, we always suggest boat trips around the island, or head to Anthony Quinn Bay, a spot just south of Faliraki. Prasonisi Beach is a favourite for watersports, as well as a great option for surfers and kite-surfers. For a quieter day at the beach, Agathi and St Paul’s Bay in Lindos are great choices.
The Farma of Rhodes is one of the most popular attractions on the island for families with children. It is an interactive wildlife experience where kids can pet and feed animals like llamas, lemurs, camels, and ostriches. Close by as well is the amazing Valley of the Butterflies, a 600-acre nature reserve which fills with butterflies in summer. There’s a restaurant and a natural history museum, as well as lots of woodland areas, perfect for a picnic stop or a family walk.
