Overview
Villa Tourlos is located at the highest point of Tourlos village, offering views of the new port where ferries and super yachts arrive on the island of Mykonos in the Cyclades, central Aegean Sea. This villa features eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms, spread across four levels and can accommodate up to sixteen guests, making it suitable for large family gatherings or groups of friends.
The villa's architecture blends local stone and the iconic whitewashed walls typical of the Greek islands. Its elevated position provides panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, Tourlos town and beach, and the bustling port. It is designed to offer privacy and seclusion and includes off-road parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning. The villa, designed in a distinct Cycladic style, uses local woods, wicker, stone, local art, and handcrafted artefacts, combined with a neutral colour palette of whites, accented by blacks and greens.
Upon entering the ground floor, guests are welcomed into a spacious open-plan living area with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the sea views. The seating area features a white wicker cushioned sofa, matching chairs, and curved coffee tables, along with a flat-screen satellite TV. Another wicker chair seating area provides a more relaxed space for morning coffee with sea views. The adjacent dining area has a wood and wicker table with ten chairs, suitable for indoor dining. The all-white kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a large fridge freezer, in-built oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker. A guest cloakroom with a WC and hand basin is also on this level. The villa’s bedrooms are distributed across the floors, decorated in white with black, green, and beige accents, and feature wicker and driftwood accessories. Four bedrooms have double beds, and four have twin beds that can be converted into doubles. Each bedroom includes fitted wardrobes, seating areas, flat-screen TVs, ensuite marble bathrooms with walk-in showers and stone hand basins, and furnished balconies with sea views.
The terrace and gardens, accessible from the living area, include a rectangular infinity swimming pool with Roman steps. The pool area is equipped with white sun loungers and small side tables. There are also two swing seats and egg-shaped chairs for relaxation. An outdoor dining area with a shaded pergola and a wooden table with ten chairs is perfect for alfresco dining. The outdoor kitchen and barbecue allow for meals to be prepared by a private chef, and the terrace offers a scenic spot to watch the sunset under the evening sky.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa TourlosVilla Tourlos is located on the hillside of the village of Tourlos, overlooking the busy new port of the jet set island of Mykonos, part of the Cyclades, in the heart of the Aegean Sea. The exclusive island of Mykonos measures only ten kilometres long by fifteen kilometres wide, so wherever you want to go it’s only a short drive away. The villa is just four kilometres from Mykonos airport, which is served by both local and international flight operators. If you are island hopping the nearby Naxos and Syros also have their own airports.
The coastal village of Tourlos on the North East side of the island, and is surprisingly cosmopolitan, with celebrity spotting seafront bars and traditional tavernas, and local mini marts to cater for all of your holiday cooking. The coast is surrounded by many beautiful golden sandy beaches, take your pick from nearby Tourlos, to the family-friendly favourite of Agios Stephanos, or party, party, party all day long on hedonistic Paradise Beach, with its crystal clear waters, restaurants, bars, and clubs with resident DJs, there’s something for everyone on the island of Mykonos. During daylight hours play penance in one of the eight hundred churches than populate the island, most notably Paraportiani, which is a unique construction combining four styles of architecture, or nearby the church of St George Spilinnos, uniquely built into the cavity of the rocks.
Take a visit to Mykonos town, here you can wander the maze of streets with the colourful Cycladic houses, do some serious designer dress shopping in one of the many luxury label boutiques, before taking a table at a seafront restaurant and enjoying a dish of freshly caught seafood, whilst sipping and an ouzo, watching the beautiful people pass by. Find out the island’s history and culture at the Archaeological Museum, the Folk Museum, and the Maritime Museum, then go out slightly of town to Lena’s House to discover how the islanders lived. Take a walk up to the landmark windmills, or as they are known locally, Kato Mili, where the wheat was ground to make bread, and is now a mini museum and residencies. Walk along the waterfront to Little Venice, where the original and colourful merchant houses overhang the sea, and are now home to cafes, bars, restaurants and galleries, best enjoyed at sunset with a retsina or two. Admire the Armenistis lighthouse, still fully functioning and an essential asset of Mykonos’ maritime history.
No visit to Mykonos is complete without a day at sea, join a catamaran jolly and snorkel in the sea, if you’re feeling flush, charter your own yacht and discover secret coves and hidden bays and beaches, and for the romantics nothing beats a sunset cruise, cocktail in hand as the sun sets over the horizon. Hop aboard a ferry for a day trip to the adjacent island of Tinos, visit the landmark Renaissance style Church of Panagia Evangelistria, tilt at windmills, visit the fifty villages, walk the ancient fortifications, and coo at the famous dovecotes. Further afield the uninhabited island of Delos is well worth a visit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the birthplace of Zeus and Leto, go with a group or arrange your own private tour.

Best Suited For: All AgesChildren will just love a holiday on the island of Mykonos, and there’s a surprising number of fun and family activities to keep them amused. Starting with Villa Tourlos’ private infinity swimming pool, and as there’s no set hours they can play and splash all day. The villa is just a short distance from the nearest soft sandy Tourlos Beach, situated near the harbour, a great place to spot ferries, motor boats and super yachts.
The coastline of Mykonos is dotted with family friendly beaches, many of which you can book ahead. We can recommend nearby Agios Stefanos Beach, with organised pre-bookable sun loungers and parasols, cafes, bars, and mini-marts, and shallow entry calm seas, protected from the northerly winds. Your little daredevils can enjoy a selection of water sports, from fun rides to daring speed boats. Room Anastasia Beach is a bit further north, a family friendly beach in a beautiful bay, with wooden sun beds and shady straw parasols. Your younger children may enjoy a visit to the Animal Organic Farm, where they can pet and feed the livestock, harvest seasonal crops, enjoy some time in nature, and keep them busy with some farming tasks. Whilst your older kids could take a hike over the island’s landscape, exploring the local flora and fauna, ending with a cooling dip in the sea.
All of the family will love a day at sea, whether it is island hopping aboard a shared Catamaran, or chartering a private yacht and discovering secret coves and hidden bays and beaches, and swimming and snorkelling spotting friendly fish. For the thrill seekers, fasten your seatbelts on the Mykonos Rib boat, that wizz around the island. Keep the creatives happy with a mosaic workshop, or a family cooking lesson with a local chef teaching you all to make traditional Greek meze.
A trip to Mykonos town is just a ten minute car journey from the villa. Wander the winding streets, shop for souvenirs, meet Petros the Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos, then enjoy a family friendly meal in a sea side taverna. For your intellectually curious offspring there’s the Archaeological Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Folk Museum, and Lena’s House, all within walking distance of the old town. A short walk along the sea front will take you to Little Venice, a pirate’s paradise of a maze of streets with colourful houses overhanging the sea. Tilt at windmills at the top of the town, the landmark of Mykonos, where they used to grind wheat and make bread for the islanders, now a mini museum and some are even residencies. The Lighthouse of Mykonos is seven kilometres north east of the town, and well worth a visit for the stunning sea views to the island of Tinos, and to watch the boats arriving and departing from the harbour. Who would have thought it, but Mykonos is home to the best Go-Kart track in Greece, open every day from April until November from 10am until 2am in the morning, that should keep them occupied all day. For those who prefer a more natural form of transport, they can mount a pony and go horseback riding in Ano Mera.
If you want to venture further afield, a trip to the adjacent island of Delos is a delight, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and birthplace of Zeus and Leto, Apollo and Artemis, cross the water by private charter or a shared toured for a fabulous family day out.
