Overview
It’s a short walk to dip your toes in the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea, when you vacation in Villa Parasol, on the southeast coast of the Greek island of Zakynthos. This stunning two-storey, detached, luxury villa is perfectly positioned just fifty metres from the seashore of the picturesque resort of Agios Sostis. The villa has three spacious double bedrooms and can accommodate up to eight guests, ideal for a family holiday, or a friends’ get-together. This classic villa is set in its own grounds, surrounded by exotic palm trees and tall cypresses, with lovely lush green lawns, and your own private swimming pool.
Villa Parasol is constructed out of local hewn stones, with rich terracotta-washed walls, and a wrap-around veranda for some shady alfresco living. The property comes complete with all the mod cons, including complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, private parking, and concierge facilities. The interiors are cool and contemporary, floor-to-ceiling double doors flood the property with lots of natural light, stylishly furnished with modern pieces, and decorated in a sophisticated colour palette of calm dreamy creams, and subtle earth tones highlights.
Enter the villa at ground floor level, where you will find an elegant, bright, and breezy, open plan living space, with doors that open directly onto the pool terrace. The seating area has three comfy cream sofas, arranged around light wood coffee tables and a display cabinet, that is home to a flat-screen satellite television, and an enclosed fireplace, for those cooler months and evenings. The adjacent traditional dark wood formal dining set and matching sideboard are ideal for some splendid indoor entertaining. Double doors lead to a wood and white fully-equipped kitchen, which has all the latest appliances that you will need to cater for your holiday. The kitchen has an informal glass-topped dining set, perfect for meeting up for breakfast and discussing the day’s plans. A separate shower room completes the ground floor.
Take the circular wrought iron staircase to the first floor, where you will find three beautifully-appointed, spacious double bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes, a flat-screen television and safe, an ensuite shower room, and a balcony with a vista. The second bedroom has a hand-crafted four-poster canopy bed, fitted wardrobes, and a pool-view balcony, whilst the third bedroom has twin beds, open wardrobes, and a balcony. A modern family bathroom, with a huge walk-in shower, hand basin, and WC, completes the accommodation.
The grounds and the gardens of Villa Parasol are the stars of the show. The villa is surrounded by tall mature trees that offer shade and privacy. A stone paved terrace is a home to a fabulous, step-entry, free-form swimming pool, perfect for a few lengths or a cooling dip. Wooden sun loungers with deep cushions invite you to lie back, relax, and catch up with this summer’s best seller. Be at one with nature on the well-manicured lawns, whilst the children amuse themselves in the dedicated play area. A large wooden pergola is home to a rustic, round dining table, with wooden bench seats and chairs. Meet on the terrace for cocktails as the sun sets, then feast alfresco on dishes freshly grilled on the built-in barbeque.
