Owner Profile
• When did you become the owner?
My father bought the house during the 1960s, while my husband and I bought it from him in the 2000s.
• What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?
My mother fell in love with the beauty of the area, the view and the nature surrounding the villa.
• Are there any interesting stories in its history?
Having been a family house for decades the villa is full of precious memories and fun anecdotes. To name a few 4 of my dad’s children got married at the villa, including my husband and I, a famous Italian lyrical singer claimed the house as his in an interview and the house was constructed by the previous owner of the Fiorentina football team.
• For anyone coming to stay, is there anything you suggest that they really…
- Must do?
Hike to Punta Della Campanella to see the beautiful ruins of the tower that was once there and enjoy the most peculiar view of Capri.
- Must eat?
A Must have in the area is spaghetti alla Nerano (pasta with fried courgette and provolone del Monaco cheese)
- Must see?
The beautiful sunset from the balconies of villa Silvana, the villa overlooks the whole gulf of Naples, allowing our guests to see Capri, Ischia, Procida and the most peculiar Scoglio del Vervece.
• What insider tip would you pass on about the property or the area?
I would suggest to avoid the peak season of the Amalfi coast. Our villa, differently, from many others, is equipped and thought to be lived in through out the whole year. The end of spring, late April/ beginning of May and the end of September/ beginning of autumn are the most beautiful periods to enjoy to the fullest the Italian ways of the Amalfi coast.
