With a whitewashed exterior, terracotta tiles and elegant arches, Villa Maria Rosaria is a perfect example of the typical architecture found in Sorrento and other coastal towns. It sits in an elevated, hillside position, overlooking the bay, the sea and dramatic Mount Vesuvius. As well as offering panoramic views over the town, Villa Maria Rosaria's prime position means Sorrento's amenities and beaches are just a short drive away.
The entire villa boasts an array of local and traditional features. Fine examples include Mount Vesuvius lava stone used in the majolica-tiled floors and pieces of furniture crafted from Sorrento walnut wood. These antique pieces add a sense of history and heritage to many of the rooms.
With accommodation set over two floors and a large roof terrace, Villa Maria Rosaria is not only beautiful, but incredibly spacious and light. Unwind in the lounge area on a sofa that's been strategically placed to make the most of the sea views. Whether that's via the large feature window or through doors that open straight onto a seating and dining terrace. Close to the living space is a sociable open-plan kitchen/dining area with garden access.
Each of the six bright and airy bedrooms has its own private bathroom, with several also enjoying use of a terrace. The upper floor is home to a large shared terrace with seating and sun loungers, making it a lovely place to start every morning.
The outside space that surrounds Villa Maria Rosaria also reflects its proximity to the sea. Garden and dining terraces are made from natural stone and dotted with pebbles, conjuring up images of the rocky coast that's just a 10-minute drive away.
Cool off in the private swimming pool and take in the spectacular sea views. These views can also be enjoyed as you dine al fresco, with them being particularly breathtaking as the sun sets over the water. Stroll though the garden to simply appreciate the sense of tranquillity that the villa offers and to breathe in the scent of the trees and sea breeze.
The heart of Sorrento is a short drive from Villa Maria Rosaria. Soak up the bustling atmosphere of popular Piazza Tasso with its cafe terraces, elegant buildings and shops. And be sure to sample Sorrento's famous drink, limoncello, after enjoying an evening meal in one of the many restaurants.
Explore the historic centre, numerous ancient churches and fascinating museums, before heading down to Marina Grande with its colourful fishing boats and seafood restaurants. Marina Piccola is where you'll find a small, sandy stretch for relaxing and swimming.

Absolutely stunning view.
Great location close to Sorrento town center and port.
Pool was beautiful and so were the 6 bedrooms all are en-suite.
The decor is very chic Italian and modern bathrooms and closets.
The owners make an extra effort to serve a sumptuous breakfast every morning ( we asked for this paid extra service) which was exceptional! Highly recommend it !
Cleaning was included only mid week with change of towels which can be asked for daily for some extra charges ( worth it). Sunshine in ample in all first floor bedrooms. The ground floor rooms don’t get so much light. Villa has most stunning view of the port! Highly recommend! -
Home was exactly as described and in a perfect location.
We liked the privacy but that we could walk or drive quickly into heart of Sorrento or get underway on Amalfi coast. Would have loved heated pool since in May water was chilly but still enjoyed loungers and sitting outside of course.

This Villa is amazing.
There were 11 of us, and we all agreed, that this was the only was to truly, enjoy the Amalfi experience. Thank you, Maria, for helping me with the dinners, the tours, and taxis, and for everything you did.

A most luxurious villa!
It lacks absolutely nothing. The villa is extremely clean and well appointed. The beds are memory foam and superbly comfortable. No complaints from any of my travel companions. The showers have excellent water pressure and are roomy too unlike most Italian shower cubes or half circles. Maria is an excellent host, quick to respond to messages and is easy to communicate with. We even met her brother and her son. Did I mention the grounds and the view? The photos don’t do it justice. There are many areas to rest and relax on the property: the pool has 3 separate areas, the outside dining area, fireplace area and the many balconies. The wraparound deck is by far the favorite as the views of the Bay of Naples is ever changing. Sorrento is a 10 minute ride away with parking garages galore near city center and the train station. The people all are very friendly. Definitely take advantage of the chef prepared meals at the villa as the chef is willing to work with your dietary needs and preferences. I will be back Maria as you and your villa are the best!
