Swim straight into the glistening sea from this stylish and exceptional villa, just a short stroll from bustling restaurants, a marina and the heart of magical Sorrento.
Right on the sea-front in a charming neighbourhood of Sorrento, this mid-twentieth century abode underwent a stunning renovation in 2020. All on one level, every corner of this elegant villa will amaze you with its bold colours, designer features and fantastic vistas from the sea-facing rooms and terraces.
The centre-piece of Villa Sorrentina is of course the vast living-dining area and contemporary kitchen with sliding doors leading out to one of the many terraces looking out to the Bay of Naples. Four sumptuous bedrooms, each with king-size doubles, have been uniquely designed with bold fabrics alongside colourful tiles in their en suite bathrooms with chromotherapy shower.
A complimentary breakfast of coffee and pastries can be enjoyed under the characterful pergola in the enchanting little garden, created with such love with its Mediterranean plants and lemon trees. Or you may prefer to sip your cappuccino gazing out at the passing boats as the world wakes up around you.
You’ll also need to find your perfect spot for the evening, as the sun sets and the waves lap against the rocks below and you relax with a limoncello, locally-crafted of course.
Wander out and experience the lively ambience of this traditional neighbourhood with restaurants, bars and a little beach by the marina within seconds of your home. Continue on to the heart of historic Sorrento, around a 15 to 20-minute stroll away, and appreciate the beauty and allure of this special place.
Boat trips will whisk you away to Capri or take you as far as Positano and Amalfi, two more gems of this captivating coastline. Mount Vesuvius and Herculaneum are also waiting to be explored if you are feeling adventurous or stay local and wander through the ancient trails passing vineyards, olive trees and lemon orchards of this extraordinary region in southern Italy.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa SorrentinaEnjoy views towards Sorrento, the peninsular and even Mount Vesuvius from the spectacular Villa Sorrentina with direct access to the sea via steps or rocks below your terrace.
Close to central Sorrento, this villa is set in a traditional neighbourhood which used to be an old fishing village – it’s a popular area that is often used for filming because of its charm and beauty. There are many restaurants very close by and a marina with a beach area and lidos a short walk away.
It’s around a 15 to 20-minute stroll to the historic heart of Sorrento where you can explore the medieval lanes, coming across characterful cafes, pretty bars, gorgeous churches and delightful little shops. Afterwards head down to the waterfront where you will find endless lidos and beautifully positioned restaurants alongside bobbing boats and glorious views of the Bay of Naples.
Enjoy exploring the rest of the region by boat, especially to nearby Capri. Take a boat excursion around the island, stopping off in idyllic bays to swim in the crystal-clear sea and visit the amazing sea-caves, or take the ferry across to the island to explore its designer boutiques and dine in an upmarket restaurant. There are also many wonderful walking trails across the island, a great way to discover its wilder side.
Positano (19km) is another stunning village with its steep narrow lanes and incredible beauty – it’s best to arrive by boat and the vistas are just incredible as you approach this jewel of the Amalfi coast. Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is just as special and can be visited in the same day by boat, or stop off at yet more caves or idyllic marinas along this enchanting part of the coast.
For a complete change of scene, the lively city of Naples is just over an hour away or even closer is Pompeii, a fascinating day out, as is the smaller site of Herculaneum. The mighty Mount Vesuvius is also waiting to be visited with many guided tours available.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Sorrentina’s setting will appeal to families with restaurants within such easy walking distance and the heart of Sorrento so close.
As well as direct access to the sea via steps or a ladder from your villa’s terraces, there is a little marina a short walk away with a beach and summer lido – it’s a pleasant place to soak up the charming ambience of this neighbourhood.
In Sorrento itself there are many little cafes and delightful gelaterias – look out for local flavours such as orange, lemon or almond. By the shore, there are lidos or platforms jutting out to the sea.
Sea-kayaking is a marvellous way to discover the local coastline on a guided excursion or look out for all sorts of boat trips, including to the enchanting island of Capri or other corners of the Amalfi coast.
Young historians may wish to visit Pompeii or maybe consider the slightly more manageable site of Herculaneum. Of course, this could also be combined with a guided tour of the spectacular Mount Vesuvius which you can see from your terrace on a clear day!
