Overview
Perched on a green hillside overlooking the azure Amalfi Sea in a pretty coastal spot close to the town of Positano is Villa Del Sentiero. The road that leads to Positano is just a short walk down the hillside from the villa.
This makes you well-connected for sandy beaches and well-positioned for glorious sea views. And with Villa Del Sentiero sitting within traditional Mediterranean gardens with two terraces, you can enjoy these views with lemon and olive trees all around you.
There's a seaside theme throughout the interior of the villa, with its colour palette of calming whites and blues. It sleeps up to eight people in four bright and airy bedrooms that each have terrace access. This gives everyone the opportunity to start each day with idyllic views over the glittering sea. Three of the bedrooms are on the first floor, so the views from this shared terrace are especially clear and impressive.
The living area continues the feeling of space and light, with elegant white pillars and Neapolitan terracotta floors adding classic touches. Under the arches of the decorative ceiling is an area for relaxing in front of the television or fireplace on cooler nights, as well as a dining table for meals. Reflecting the curves of this open-plan space are arched doors leading out to the main terrace.
Enjoy al-fresco dining on the terrace in a shady spot by one of the majestic trees that dot the grounds. The sofa area is perfect for both pre and post-dinner drinks, with evenings being a magical time as you watch the sun setting over the sea.
It's not just the beaches of Positano that are easy to reach from Villa Del Sentiero. The small, sandy stretch at Praiano is also a short drive away for those looking for a quieter spot to relax. There are also walking trails to follow when you want to be more active.
The islands of Capri and Ischia are just a boat trip away, with Capri being home to the well-known Blue Grotto sea cave. Ischia offers plenty of lush landscapes to explore, along with historic villas.
Also visit the coastal town of Sorrento, which is famous for its lemons, and Pompeii; even more famous for its ancient ruins.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Del SentieroYou can walk from Villa Del Sentiero down to the coastal road in just a few minutes, with plenty of hiking trails starting in the area. There are also some pebbled stretches close by, but you will need to drive along the coastal road to Positano for sandy ones.
The centre of Positano is a maze of steep steps and winding streets, with colourful buildings perching on cliff sides down to the sea. And just strolling around will open up stunning views over the water. One of the most beautiful buildings to visit is the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, with its walls covered in intricate paintings. There's a great choice of restaurants, shops, bars and cafes in which to soak up the laid-back atmosphere. There are also beautiful beaches to make the most of.
Between Positano and Amalfi is the village of Praiano with its quieter beach at Marina di Praia. The whole area is idyllic and a dream for nature lovers, with plenty of walking trails and little coves to discover.
Take a boat trip over to the island of Capri to explore the stunning Blue Grotto. This sea cave is magically illuminated when sunlight passes through the water and reflects off the walls. Also visit the island of Ischia with its lush greenery and historic villas.
45 minutes away by car is coastal Sorrento, which is famous for its lemons and local craft shops. The town's marinas boast restaurants where you can eat a fresh fish lunch after strolling along narrow streets full of historic buildings. Highlights include the 14th-century church Chiesa di San Francesco, a bell tower, monastery and cathedral. Piazza Tasso is a popular spot to simply relax with a coffee and people-watch.
The archaeological site of Pompeii can be reached in an hour, with the ruins well worth the extra travel time to experience first-hand.

An amazing time
We truly had an amazing time. The villa was everything we wanted it to be and more. The house was truly beautiful and the outdoor entertaining space made it even better. The accommodations were perfect for our group. We had plenty of space and it was so nice to have such a large kitchen with both interior and outside dining. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunrise and sunset and it was so nice to be able to cook at home a bit. I must also say that all of our excursions were wonderful. The drivers were all well informed and were extremely professional and fun. They made sure we learned the history and didn’t miss any of the sights. Your services were fantastic and the property manager was also very responsive and helpful. Thanks for all your assistance and we will definitely keep you in mind for future holidays.
