Set just outside the village of Savoca, in a beautiful landscape of vineyards, rivers, hills and natural springs, the sleek and ultra-modern Villa Marzapane will host you on your Sicilian break in spectacular style. This elegant and superbly appointed three-bedroom villa, replete with breathtaking views of the signature hills of the Taormina region, offers a secluded and stylish break for up to six guests.
As you enter, the interior makes an immediate impression, with the air conditioning throughout the villa contrasting the Sicilian heat outdoors. An open-plan living space welcomes you with cutting-edge design, stylish furnishing and several large patio doors that lead you straight to the terrace, pool, and gorgeous hillside vista. You will find comfortable seating around the television and a large dining table adjacent to the kitchen area.
The fully-equipped kitchen is ideally positioned to serve guests at the terrace dining table and the one inside. The high-quality amenities make this kitchen a vibrant and practical hub for entertaining guests.
Along with a guest bathroom that houses the washing machine, you will discover the first of this villa’s three en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor. It has a four-poster bed, large patio doors with a view of the garden and the hills beyond, a superbly appointed en-suite bathroom, and a dressing room.
When upstairs, you will find two more beautiful double bedrooms. They both boast a light, spacious dressing room and en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, basin, WC and bidet. Outside, a splendid terrace lounge sits adjacent to the swimming pool in its corner, creating a cosy spot in a grand, open space. There is a delightful infinity pool with a whirlpool corner. Enjoy your evening meal on the alfresco dining table whilst sharing a bottle of delicious local red wine.
If you can tear yourself away from Villa Marzapane, why not head to a café in the nearby village of Savoca, starting your day with a traditional Sicilian breakfast of fresh cake and orange juice? Take a leisurely stroll through its charming streets among buildings with many centuries of history attached - some may even be familiar from a movie you’ve seen! Drive out and explore some of the many glorious miles of nearby coastline, all showcasing outstanding natural beauty and clear waters typical of the Ionian Sea. The journey to Mount Etna is an absolute joy, especially as you draw closer to the volcano itself. If a cable car ride to its summit doesn’t get enough adrenaline pumping, visiting Etnaland Park’s giant waterslides and rollercoasters will surely do the trick!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa MarzapaneSavoca, a small but beautiful perched village in north-eastern Sicily, is home to centuries-old architecture and winding roads that lead to mesmerising views of the Ionian coastline and even Mount Etna.
Cinema buffs are always sure to be selfie-ready at Bar Vitelli and the Chiesa di San Nicolò; both used as locations for iconic scenes in Francis Ford Coppola’s classic movie The Godfather. Coppola is immortalised in the form of a steel statue in a small square close to Bar Vitelli with a great view of the iconic hillside church. If you time your visit around lunchtime, you will hear the San Nicolò church playing Ave Maria across the valley instead of a midday bell. Guided tours of the movie’s locations are available to book ahead of your visit, with some including wine tasting and a meal at one of Savoca’s fine eateries.Sicilian cuisine is a high point of any visit to Savoca, with restaurants serving traditional dishes such as piscistoccu – dried cod cooked with potatoes, olives, capers and chilli – delicious with some locally baked bread and accompanied with a glass of Sicilian white. Don’t forget to gather some superb local produce, wine and fish to enjoy back at Villa Marzapane!
The majesty of Mount Etna is only a ninety-minute drive away, where those with a head for heights and an eye for a stunning view can ride a cable car right up to the crater. The volcano dominates the panorama for miles, including at the nearby Riviera dei Ciclopi, a lava coast created by Etna’s eruptions, stretching from Catania to Acireale.
Close by is the fantastic Etnaland Park- a theme park packed with spectacular rides, family entertainment, and an aqua park boasting thrilling waterslides, rafting and pools. The park has extended opening hours during the summer, with the evening lighting adding another layer of excitement to the tremendous rollercoasters!
Somewhat closer to Villa Marzapane for a day at the coast is the wondrous Spiaggia di Isola Bella, unquestionably Taormina’s most beautiful beach, and just half an hour away. This pebble beach, reachable by cable car, faces its namesake ‘Beautiful Island’. From here, you can slip on a pair of sea shoes, bathe in the crystal clear water and even rent a jet ski with the most phenomenal backdrop for your ride. You can even walk across from the beach to the island itself at high tide!

Perfect in every way
A luxurious villa, with a modern look and with all the amenities needed for a relaxing and great summer holiday. The Villa delivered on every aspect of our expectations, and the host topped it with his hospitality and thoughtfulness. Always available, always ready to assist, providing helpful tips, while at the same time never intrusive. This ended up being the perfect vacation for us. A pool to ourselves, only a 10 min drive to the beach (Santa Teresa), 15 min drive to Savoca and 30-40 min drive to Taormina. We spent two weeks at the villa, an enjoyed every single moment. We can highly recommend the Villa, and would love to come back at some point.

Beautiful Villa
Just returned from our holiday, this house didn't disappoint, the quality of everything was superb, The owners greeted us after a very late arrival and even had hot food on offer for us. The villa is close to the beautiful Taomina and Savoca, we also used the train service which is close by to go to Syracuse, well worth a visit. All in all a fantastic holiday, thank you Onofriio for your hospitality and helpfulness you were the perfect host always on hand if needed.

Fabulous host and experience
We have just returned from a fantastic one week stay at Villa Marzapane. Starting with a lovely warm welcome from the owner including some fresh local food, and a wonderful delivery of typical Sicilian breakfast food of brioche and granita one morning. The villa was spacious, clean, modern and very well kept, with lovely outdoor seating areas, set on a hillside to enjoy far reaching views. Ideal for a large family or the 3 adult couples in our group. The owner was always on hand but never intrusive for any questions or suggestions. Nothing we asked was too much trouble and this was greatly appreciated. We also pre booked dinner to be prepared at the villa one evening as a treat and this was a lovely experience of some authentic Sicilian food. Savoca, Taormina and Messina are all easy to visit by car and we also jumped on the train early one morning from the local station to explore Catania without the hassle of trying to navigate the city centre. Most definitely a villa we would highly recommend.

Beautiful villa
Beautiful villa tastefully decorated, ideal for a family holiday. Its location right off the road from Saracina, not far from the picturesque town of Taormina make it perfect to explore Eastern Sicily. Also, the owners are very kind and welcoming.

We had a luxurious week
We had a luxurious week at the Villa with the whole family... Everything was just amazing and our host Onofrio was very helpful with great tips on restaurants and places to visit... Wonderful
Our stay at VDG was wonderful. We stayed for 10 days with our 9 month old baby and the house was perfect. It was very clean, so spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The host was wonderful, he took care of everything we needed and was very quick to respond to us. He was so kind and brought us some Sicilian treats that we really enjoyed! Because of the baby, we spent a lot of the time in the house and I can say we enjoyed it so much. The location is also great. Savoca is just 10 mins away and Taormina is only 25-30 mins away. The seaside is just mins away as well. We would absolutely come back, it was completely worth it.

Stunning
Just got back from a wonderful 2 week stay at Villa Marzapane. The villa itself was stunning - exactly as advertised (so often pictures can over promise vs. the reality which can underdeliver): absolutely stunning location, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners were lovely and on hand for anything we needed (including tips & suggestions for local shops, restaurants and things to see). Nothing was too much trouble.
