Nestled among carob and olive trees, this remarkable property offers a quiet Sicilian retreat with nearby amenities. Enjoy the views of the sea while nursing a glass of the local Nero d’Avola and adjust to the slow pace of Italian country life.
The property can accommodate up to six guests with open-plan living areas, a swimming pool, and a terrace. Tastefully decorated throughout with customised finishes by local artisans, Villa Nouvel has been built to give guests breathtaking views of the sea and the nearby artificial lake at every opportunity. Its designer kitchen has been furnished with high-end appliances, making sure that your stay here will be as comfortable as possible. One end of the kitchen has full-size glass doors with views of the terrace, dining area, and the sea beyond.
The recently built property has been designed to be environmentally friendly and manages to merge natural materials – such as wood and cork – with manmade – cement and iron. The result is an exceptional structure which encompasses minimalism and style.
Outside, the nearby artificial lake feeds into the private swimming pool. The terraced grounds have dining spaces where you can enjoy al fresco eating while taking in the stunning views of the sea.
When you are after some supplies, the nearest village is just a couple of kilometres away. Here you will find a charming fishing village, with bars, restaurants and shops. There’s also a 2km-long sandy beach to enjoy, where you can paddle, snorkel, hire a pedal boat and play beach volleyball. Beyond the beach is a pine forest, offering picnic tables and cooling shade in which to relax.
A little further inland, you will find Scicli (11km), a UNESCO-listed town in a scenic location. It is an ancient town, and here you can explore a baroque palace, a cave settlement only abandoned in the 1950s, and stroll along Via Mormina Penna, a good example of a late baroque street.
What you should know…
- The property and garden are spread out over three levels, with connecting steps and paths – great for exploring.

Wonderful place
This is a beautiful, one of a kind property. We loved every minute of our stay. The pool is magnificent. The main deck in front of the kitchen is huge and provides ample space for reading a book on the sofa, to having dinner. So many thoughtful details - a covered parking area, trees trimmed to not disrupt the view, the beautiful pond. The kitchen is great, with ample amenities: a huge fridge and an enormous freezer. Fuzzing for perfection, the only things we missed, were a water cooker to make tea and a scale to weigh the ingredients to bake bread. The owners are wonderful and very helpful. We enjoyed trips to villages in the neighbourhood: Noto, Ragusa and Modica.
We think that this is an excellent property for families with older children or three couples who prefer to have some privacy. The main house has one bedroom with bathroom. Outside the main house, there are two other separate bedrooms with bathroom (both having a separate entrance). No need to worry who has the better room, as all rooms and bathrooms are identical.
We love to come back one day! -
The most beautiful house
Probably the most beautiful house I ever had the chance to experience. The owners (who are super kind) thought of every detail and created an organic, warm and very tasteful space. We also enjoyed yoga sessions on the terrace and a massage in the massage room at the villa. We left with lots of good memories and new inspiration!

Wonderful house
Lovely hosts, very friendly, warm, relaxed an welcoming. Beautiful house, made from natural materials, just melting into the landscape. Equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Just a quick 3 min drive down the Strada Provinciale to Sampieri where you find a small supermarket, very good Italian coffee, pastries and a beach club.

True paradise
We are a family of four and spent one week in this beautiful villa. It was amazing. The owners have created a true paradise. We especially loved the Biopool - you cannot compare this kind of pool with a 'normal' pool. The water is free of chemicals, which makes it a pure pleasure to swim in. We hope to come back.

Much more than just a holiday house
Villa Nouvel is much more than a holiday house, it is planned and built with attention to detail and high-quality materials. We had a great time resting on the veranda, swimming in the biopool, looking at the stars. Thank you to the owners for the warm welcome and all the tips they gave us. We had an amazing time in this beautiful place. All the small restaurants in the area are also very good and just a few minutes away by car. We would love to come back.
