Villa Peris forms a part of a large and prestigious resort on the coast in the southeast of Sicily, framed by a stretch of golden sand looking out to the enchanting sea.
A self-catering and independent holiday home which can accommodate up to 4 guests in two bedrooms, each of the seven homes is designed with an interior with elegant materials such as wood and glass. One bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, and the other has twin beds. Step into the living room with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows running along the entire home, offering a view of the pool and terrace. This open-plan area features a kitchen corner with a dining table, a sofa and a TV.
Outside, guests can kick back by their private pool, enveloped by a lawn and terrace. Comfy bean bags and sun loungers are added for extra comfort, allowing sun-seeking jet-setters to soak up the Sicilian sunshine. To the back of the villa on the small terrace, guests will also find a jacuzzi. This terrace is ideal for your al-fresco meals, whether it’s healthy breakfast bowls and fresh lunches or comforting dinners – accompanied by wine from the island (for example, from the fertile slopes of Mount Etna).
Guests can use the resort’s top-notch facilities, such as the beach club, restaurant and wine cellar. The resort, founded in 1953, is still run by the same family, so it remains true to its roots. Dine at the restaurant and enjoy fresh seafood, pizza baked with natural ingredients and the famous fish soup made with the same original recipe for over fifty years.
Keen adventurers should drive the short distance to the local village, Marina di Ragusa. Here, you’ll find local amenities, restaurants, a seaside promenade and a marina from where boats and excursions leave daily.
When you’re ready to explore further, head to Ragusa, a 30-minute drive away. The hilltop city with a stunning old town and Baroque architecture is fantastic for strolling around and getting a sense of the typical Sicilian atmosphere and indulging in the local dining scene.
Noto, a village previously declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just over 1-hour drive away, and its Palermo Opera House and UNESCO Baroque churches are sure worth visiting.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa PerisLocated on the southeastern coast of Sicily, Villa Peris offers a fantastic base for exploring this part of the island, full of charismatic fishing villages, historic towns and an abundance of nature.
Marina di Ragusa, the nearby village, has plenty to offer in terms of food options and entertainment. You can walk along the beach on a paved promenade and take in the views of the sea before cooling down on the beach. There are plenty of restaurants to savour traditional local cuisine, and a supermarket is just a 5-minute drive away if needed.
Sicily’s beaches are undoubtedly one of the island's biggest attractions, with pristine bays nestled among rocks, well-equipped lidos and modern beach clubs with A-class facilities. Nearby Spiaggia di Ponente is popular with tourists and locals, while its neighbouring Spiaggia Micenci also offers volleyball courts and coastal walks. A bit further away, Marchesa e Gelsomineto is a popular ocean retreat for basking in the sun and swimming in crystal-clear water with scenic cliffs and sweeping views – a true must if you’re around. On the southeastern tip, you’ll find Punta Delle Formiche – a wild beach of fine golden sand with dunes lapped by two seas.
Explore Sicily’s notable past and culture by visiting Ragusa. The hilltop city is divided into two parts: Ragusa Ibla, the old town home to many Baroque buildings such as the grand church of Duomo di San Giorgio, and Ragusa Superiore, the more modern neighbourhood with an ornate Ragusa Cathedral featuring religious art and relics. After you’ve soaked up the atmosphere, take in sweeping views of the sun-washed facades and terracotta roofs from Giardino Ibleo, a public park with churches and fountains. The city is part of the Val di Noto UNESCO Heritage Site, and 18 of its buildings are protected by UNESCO patronage, so it is worth a visit.
Another UNESCO World Heritage Site is Noto, a lovely small town with many famous sites, such as the Palermo Opera House and many churches and cathedrals. After a wholesome walk through winding streets, find a shady spot in one of the many charming restaurants or grab delicious gelato in the main square, which is also home to a majestic Fontana dell’ Elefante statue and an ornately decorated Catania Cathedral.
Consider stopping in Syracuse, notable for its rich Greek and Roman history and the birthplace of the pre-eminent mathematician and engineer Archimedes.
