The second spacious double bedroom boasts breathtaking sea views and a private bathroom upstairs.
The outdoor spaces are equally inviting, with a charming table under a laurel tree perfect for al fresco dining and various nature-filled areas, including a meadow, olive grove, citrus grove, and bamboo forest. - What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?
This is my family’s second home, it’s a place where we, as a family, have been living the happiest and fondest memories of our lives. It is truly like a child to me, a labour of love, dedication and passion, it means everything to me.
- Are there any interesting stories in its history?
When my parents bought it almost 15 years ago, the house was nothing like it is today, it was in a state of near-abandonment. My parents fell in love at first sight, seeing so much potential in it, and decided to carry out a huge renovation project. In particular, my father, who had always dreamed of being an architect in his life (but does something else) was able to unleash his creativity, and he thought of and designed every single corner of the house, making it, through many years of hard work and many sacrifices, into the paradise it is today.
- What insider tip would you pass on about the property or the area?
This is a house to live in, “A very special place to stay”, where you can slow down, rejoice in the slow life, experience moments of absolute peace and comfort in a dream location with the people you love. The feeling we convey to our guests is just that: here you will have everything you could possibly need for a dream holiday, you don’t need to leave. Nevertheless, because of its location our house is an excellent base for exploring the area, on which as an insider I would say… Cinque Terre are beautiful, no doubt…but we have so much more to offer!!! Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro, medieval villages, seaside towns at a short distance ... and so much more!!! Last but not least, I highly recommend our boat trip to fully experience our wonderful sea!

Beautiful home
The most gracious host we had during our visit to Italy. We can’t thank them enough for opening their beautiful home to our family. While we didn’t get to hike in Cinque Terra because of being sick, they provided the perfect home to relax and recuperate. The property has everything, beautiful views, great space for outdoor dining and entertainment. Beautiful pool looking out at the ocean, pizza oven, BBQ, ping pong, garden, plus fruit trees. The outdoor bed was perfect to watch the sunrise on our winter morning or to relax and read from in the afternoon soaking up the sun with gorgeous snow cap Mountain View’s. The house itself was absolutely charming and are amazing host provided us with homegrown/homemade olive oil, that was the best we had during our two weeks in Italy. Highly recommend this amazing property!!!!!!!!

It was just perfect
The owners are exceptional hosts. We were a group of 4 adults and we had the experience of the chef at home. It was just perfect. I recommend it.
The house is beautiful and clean the views are exceptional and the pool is sublime.
The welcome was perfect and we even had small bites when we arrived.
Matilde was available and even picked us up in Vernazza in the evening because there was no more grape train from a strike.
Thank you again for the beautiful memories we bring with us forever. -

From the moment we arrived at Idyll, the owners made us feel like we were home. Their hospitality was beyond amazing, and their warmth set a new standard for what every villa should strive to be.
The property itself is one of the best we've ever stayed in, beautifully maintained and designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. However, it was owner's personal touch that made our experience truly unforgettable.
One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible gastronomy experience they offer. We had one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Italy, prepared with care and passion. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a journey of flavors and heartwarming conversation.
Matilde and Igor are not just hosts; they’re genuinely wonderful people who shared moments with us that will stay with us forever. We’ll be back one day, and until then, we will cherish this special time we spent at Villa Idyll. -

Our stay at Villa Idyll was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, everything exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was seamless, with effortless and pleasant communication throughout.
The house is incredibly well-equipped with everything you could possibly need: a BBQ, a pizza oven, a professional bar by the pool, outdoor and indoor kitchens, a ping pong table, and more—all exclusively for your enjoyment.
The highlight of our stay was the remarkable generosity of our hosts. They welcomed us with a delightful aperitivo, stocked the kitchen with everything we needed for breakfast, and even offered unique experiences like a boat tour and a private dinner.
We can't wait to return as soon as possible! -
The mostly lovely and peaceful week
We spent the mostly lovely and peaceful week on this beautiful property. It has it all - well appointed home, stunning views, and lovely grounds. The garden is incredible - games, pool and bar, long rustic table for gathering, countless little areas to sit or explore. The hosts were exceptionally inviting and responsive and even gave us fresh produce from the overflowing vegetable garden on the property. Everything is even nicer than the photos. It’s in a very quiet and bucolic location while being only 15-30 minutes from large grocery stores, famous sea towns, mountain hikes - endless options to explore from this home base. Even in the hottest part of summer, the mornings and evenings were cool enough to enjoy outside and the air conditioning was available for the hottest parts of the day. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

The house and garden are fabulous
The owners are by far the best hosts we have met. The house and garden are fabulous, but the hospitality of the hosts is just amazing and that makes such a difference. In preparing our holidays I had all kind of questions, and Matilde responded to all of them. We rented bikes that were there on arrival, there were groceries when we arrived to get us through the first day, and Matilde even offered to come with us to a doctors visit for the necessary translations and guidance. The vegetable garden is Igor's domain and he harvested quite a lot of fresh vegetables for us to use. Matilde sent us messages every few days to inform if we needed anything or to let us know there was a festival in the nearby city. We had a great time and we wish Mathilde & Igor all the best, knowing that villa Idyll will be a great success for them and all their future guests.

If you are looking for paradise - this is it!
This places offers much more than what you see in the pictures. This is the perfect place for a private, but luxurious experience. Matilde and Igor are extremely welcoming and we immediately felt at home.
We arrived late and they had prepared everything for us. The fridge was stocked with breakfast and they had prepared a welcome basket especially for us. They had even made sure there were snacks, extra soft mattresses and cute drinking cups for our toddlers. The attention to detail was amazing.
Make sure you have Igor prepare you a dinner- that was a highlight for us.
The place and its soundings offer plenty of both sunny and shaded spots and the views are stunning. Needless to say everything is clean and convenient. -
The place is absolutely stunning
I have been doing villa holidays for almost a decade and this was the best experience I have ever had. First of all, the place is absolutely stunning. Panoramic views of the city and ocean below, stunning pool, and beautiful grounds. We never wanted to leave.
Every amenity was taken care of and our hosts were incredible thoughtful, kind, and empathetic. It was the service of a luxury hotel combined with the privacy and freedom of a villa. If you stay here, make sure to have Igor, a talented chef, make you lunch or dinner. We had a seafood lunch while our son swam in the pool, and it was the best meal I have had in Italy so far (and enough food for leftovers). The pizza oven in the back is perfect for a laid back night at home.
Overall, my family was thrilled to have stayed here and been Idyll’s first guests! We were taken care of like family and we will absolutely be back. This house was a hidden gem, and it made our entire stay in Italy a dream. If i could give 100 stars I would!
