Nestled on the picturesque hill of Santo Stefano Belbo, Villa Moscato welcomes you to a peaceful retreat where the charm of the past meets the comforts of modern living. This historic 18th-century residence, once owned by the noble Ravone Anfossi family, offers a unique glimpse into the region's rich history. The villa is steeped in history, with its underground cellars echoing the grand architecture of the Canelli cathedrals, a testament to its significance in the area's rural economy.

As you step inside, you will be struck by the inviting, homely atmosphere that defines this extraordinary space. The seven distinctive bedrooms, each inspired by the works of renowned writer Cesare Pavese, offer breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and vineyards. Every room tells its own story, with antique furniture and subtle touches that reflect the authenticity of this noble residence. The collection of photographic paintings and the library, brimming with both modern and ancient volumes, encourage a deeper connection to the region's culture and the literary legacy of Pavese.

The villa's interiors seamlessly blend historical character and contemporary elegance, and each detail is thoughtfully curated to create a sense of personalised comfort. The functional furnishings meet the highest standards, but there's nothing here that feels like a typical hotel—instead, it's as though you've stepped into a private home with a deep connection to the past.

The outdoor spaces of Villa Moscato are equally enchanting. The estate opens to lush vineyards and woodlands, offering a serene environment for relaxation or exploration. A courtyard, a refreshing swimming pool, and a fully equipped gym provide ample opportunities to unwind. For those seeking an immersive experience, the villa's location is ideal for discovering the region's culinary delights, rich artistic heritage, and the surrounding natural beauty.

Whether you indulge in local food and wine, practice yoga, or simply enjoy the stunning landscapes, Villa Moscato promises a memorable stay filled with relaxation and inspiration.

Reviews

  • Highly recommended!

    on 11/01/2025

Our perfectly sensual, tasteful and poetic retreat in Piemonte where each room has hand selected novels and poetry that lean into the erotic side of Italian adventures.

  • Would highly recommend this unique property

    on 12/10/2024

If you are looking for a bespoke intimate stay at an 18th century noble house, look no further. Villa Moscato would be the place for you. Set on the beautiful hills of Langhe Piemonte, we had the perfect two nights’ stay travelling all the way from Singapore. The property was carefully restored keeping the charm of history with a mix of modern comfort and luxury. All the produce we had during our stay was home grown and curated by our lovely host Carlo and Manila. Would highly recommend this unique property if you visit the Santo Stefano Belbo area.

  • A stunning, unique retreat!

    on 30/09/2024

Villa Moscato converted to a charming, elegant, artistically designed hotel. Stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and the resorts' beautiful gardens create the most relaxing environment we experienced in our 2 week trip to Italy. Carlo and Manila were kind, gracious, and extremely helpful, but never intrusive. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful! More treats than we could sample. Manila even made a special persimmon (cachi) pudding for us after we asked about this fruit tree in their garden. This place is like no other and not to be missed!
