Architect Pino Brescia’s construction of a traditional Puglian ‘borgo’ – or fortified village – is a symphony of golden tufa limestone accented by vivid bougainvillaea. Egnazia boasts a masseria, paved streets and arcades, a church, a central piazza, and several stone cottages and villas.
Stepping into Casa Padronale, spread over three storeys, a spacious living room of plush sofas, bookcases, accent armchairs, an audio system, and a large stone fireplace greets guests. The ground floor also boasts a fully equipped kitchen where culinary enthusiasts can toss together a Mediterranean salad or prepare a holiday feast for family and friends. An adjacent studio decorated with ceramics of Grottaglie and fabric paintings made by local artisans also boasts a guest bathroom made of Ostuni stone.
Descending to the lower ground floor reveals your own furnished tavern with a games/dining table, bar corner, and direct access to the garden and swimming pool. The lower ground floor also features a home cinema set-up, including a comfortable seating area and cinema screen. Bordering this fantastic entertainment area are three bedrooms with double beds, luxury linens, and ensuite bathrooms of Ostuni stone.
Ascending to the first floor reveals four more bedrooms. Two master bedrooms boast king-sized beds, canopies of soft gauze, and opulent ensuite bathrooms. Two further bedrooms with double beds and ensuite bathrooms complete the level.

About the surrounding area of Casa Padronale - Borgo EgnaziaSet serenely near the seaside town of Savelletri on Puglia’s Adriatic coastline, Egnazia is tucked between the ruins of an ancient Roman settlement (from which it takes its name) and the magnificent San Domenico championship golf course.
Of course, Puglia is renowned for its stunning sea and warm, white-sand beaches. And Egnazia boasts two private beaches, one sandy, one pebbly. Stroll through the golf course to the sea or take a free shuttle bus to a secluded, rocky cove, great for swimming. The Cala Masciola Beach Club also has a restaurant and bar to keep you going between dives in the sea.
Egnazia also boasts four stunning pools (in addition to the private pool in Casa Padronale). Dive into a different pool daily, drink an aperitif at a different bar every afternoon, and dine at a different gourmet restaurant every evening.
Despite many amenities that encourage guests to relax, there are also plenty of options for staying active. Not including the pools and private beaches, the sprawling golf course, tennis courts, and the scenic local surrounds are easily explored on foot or bicycle.

Best Suited For: All AgesEgnazia caters to kids thanks to fun kids' and teens' clubs. The clubs boast numerous activities, including cooking classes where kids can learn to make focaccia and pasta. Once a fortnight, the central piazza becomes a stage for a traditional Puglian festival; the little ones will love the cooking stations, dancing, fire displays, storytellers and entertainers.
And if you’re looking to get out and explore Puglia, a great place to check out is the spectacular caves of Grotte di Castellana (a 40-minute drive away). These caves date back 90 million years and are one of Puglia’s best-known wonders. With a network descending 60 metres underground, kids will marvel at hanging stalactites, ancient fossils and deep canyons.
The Puglian countryside is brimming with great options for hiking and cycling along nature trails – a great option to tire the little ones out. Casa Bella has two bicycles for guest use, but more can easily be rented.
Lastly, Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello (a 30-minute drive away), is known for its unique trulli houses.
