Surrounded by idyllic Trulli towns and wide-open countryside and in easy reach of the town and beaches of Polignano a Mare, Maria Agnus offers guests a tranquil place to stay and plenty of incredible attractions nearby. Sleeping up to six guests, when utilising the sofa bed, this villa would suit a small family or a group of friends.
Maria Agnus is a home with a traditional, whitewashed exterior, sitting in a landscape of rolling fields and centuries-old trees. Indoors, the house offers clean lines and modern décor, with a white colour palette throughout and pops of colour coming through in the soft furnishings.
You will enter the house through a covered veranda which has sliding doors on to the expansive grounds. This room is a lovely place to dine or to lounge on the sofa. From there you can head in to the main part of the home which has a living room with an L-shaped sofa bed and a TV, this room leads through to the contemporary kitchen which is fitted with everything you could need for preparing meals and also has a breakfast table.
After a busy day exploring the nearby towns, you are assured of a great night’s sleep in either of the two bedrooms. Both rooms are serene spaces with air conditioning and king-sized beds. The rooms share a well-equipped bathroom with a walk-in shower. If you are travelling as a party of six, two of your group can sleep on the comfy sofa bed in the living space.
The garden here spans a huge 3000m2 and is the cherry on top of this beautiful home. The grounds include fields, trees and a number of terraces. There are shaded dining areas and a gazebo with an outdoor living space. You will also find a summer kitchen where you can cook up Italian feasts on the woodburning oven or barbecue. When you wish to cool off on a hot day, there is a private swimming pool which is lined with sun loungers, the perfect spot for unwinding in the sun with a good book while the kids play.
When you wish to pick up some groceries or would like to dine out in the evening, the nearest town, Noci is a few kilometers away. While this town is not a well-known tourist spot, it is a great place to visit and has a historic area as well as a new town. There are a number of shops and eateries here. Close to the villa, you will also have access to numerous walking trails and cycling routes, so you can head out in to the inviting countryside with ease.

- If you need space to accommodate more guests, the sofa in the spacious living room coverts in to a double sofa bed.
- Air conditioning is available in the home’s two bedrooms.
- The nearest town of Noci is set 3km way from the home, so you will need a car to get around. There is parking available on site.
- There are no beach umbrellas by the pool, there is a shaded area instead.

About the surrounding area of Maria AgnusNestled within a vast, tree-filled garden overlooking open farmland, you will find Maria Agnus, an inviting two-bedroom home which is the perfect base for exploring Puglia’s many towns and lengthy coastline.
Though the villa enjoys rural vistas and a peaceful setting, you are only few kilometers away from the nearest town which is called Noci. This town is fantastic to have so close by; there is a thriving modern area as well as an atmospheric old town here. This small-town hails from the Norman era and is named after the local walnuts. The area is known for the walnuts as well as an abundance of dairy products such as delicious burrata. You can sample these foods at the food and wine festivals which are held throughout the year. The town is not a tourist spot and there are just a few cafes, restaurants and shops here, but it is definitely worth a visit.
If you would like to visit Alberobello, which is one of Puglia’s best-loved towns, you do not have to travel far as it is only 10km away! Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is filled with beautiful Trulli homes; these whitewashed, cone-shaped houses are only found in Puglia, so visiting a Trulli town is a delightful experience. Whilst here, you can book on to a guided tour or you can explore easily on foot. You can simply stroll around the picturesque town, visiting the ancient churches and protected buildings. The town also has a fascinating living museum with recreated rooms from the 1700s, these will give visitors a glimpse in to how the local farming communities lived their lives in times gone by. You will also find a brilliant range of restaurants, shops, parks and gardens here in Alberobello, so you are sure to visit a number of times.
As well as the charming hill towns and Trulli towns in Puglia, there are also stunning seaside towns dotted along the Adriatic Coast. The most famous of all of these is Polignano a Mare. This incredible town is set 36km away from the villa and is where you will find some of the closest beaches. Cala Porto beach in Polignano a Mare is one of Italy’s finest and most photographed beaches. This postcard-worthy beach is framed by limestone cliffs and has Blue Flag status. Due to its fame, the beach can get quite busy, so you can also visit one of the quieter beaches nearby such as Ponte dei Lapilli as well as beaches further down the coast. Polignano is not just a beach location, you can also discover galleries, historic churches and museums here as well as scenic boat trips along the coastline.

Maria Agnus is a wonderful choice for those travelling as a family as there are two bedrooms and an expansive garden available.
In addition to Puglia’s towns and beaches, you can also see some incredible natural attractions which will enchant adults and children alike. One of the best-loved attractions in the area is Grotte di Castellana which is 17km away. This is a huge system of caves which are filled with stalactites, stalagmites and fossils which can be viewed by following a number of trails with a tour guide. These caves are over 90 million years old and are an unmissable sight.
