Surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean flora, Pietra Di Fuoco is a wonderful two-bedroom holiday home in the Carovigno countryside, a short drive to the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve. Just a stone’s throw from Puglia’s beaches and sleepy hilltop villages, the villa is ideally placed for a holiday getting to know the South of Italy.

Characterised by a minimal and refined style, the holiday home is spread over one floor and can sleep up to six guests in comfortable surroundings. Once inside the villa, guests will be greeted by the open plan living area, full of sunlight and furnished with comfort in mind, and the equipped kitchen area. If dining al-fresco in nature is more your style, head out to the back patio, where you'll find a large dining table and barbecue. Two air-conditioned bedrooms can be found down the hallway, one furnished with a double bed and the other with twin beds.

The outdoor space at Pietra Di Fuoco is equally impressive, with a large swimming pool and an expansive terrace with comfortable loungers, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the Italian sun. There are also outdoor sofas and shaded spaces for unwinding with a good book and a glass of Italian wine. Or, head up to the roof terrace for panoramic views of the sea and surrounding countryside.

When you need to pop to the shops for essentials or fancy dining out at a nearby restaurant, the small and ancient town of Carovigno is just 8km away by car. Guests can also stroll through the alleys of the famous medieval villages of Ostuni (20km) and Cisternino (35km).

The villa is a 10-minute drive from the nature reserve and beaches of Torre Guaceto, the State Nature Reserve and Marine Protected Area, an oasis rich in biodiversity and Mediterranean scrub. Birdwatching, snorkelling, trekking, cycling, hiking, and walking across the reserve are some of the many activities in the Torre Guaceto area. For the sandy beaches and sun addicted, Torre Guaceto’s beach Punta Penna Grossa is a must for swimming and sunbathing.

Located in the beautiful Carovigno countryside, Pietra Di Fuoco is a wonderful base to explore what the Puglia region offers.

The villa is conveniently close to Torre Guaceto, a breathtaking coastal nature reserve. This reserve offers a diverse ecosystem with pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, salt marshes, and Mediterranean scrub vegetation. The area also has a 16th-century watchtower and ancient settlements that visitors can explore. Guests can enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, sunbathing, snorkelling, hiking, and biking while learning about sustainable tourism practices prioritising preserving natural habitats and minimising environmental impact.

Neighbouring towns like Ostuni (20km) and Ceglie Messapica (30km) offer beautiful architecture and delicious local cuisine. Ostuni, also known as the ‘White City’, is a nearby hilltop town known for its whitewashed houses, narrow alleys, and stunning views. The main square, Piazza della Libertà, is home to the town hall and the 15th-century Gothic-style Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. The town is surrounded by ancient walls that date back to the 15th century, and visitors can walk along the walls for impressive views of the surrounding countryside.

Carovigno's historic landmarks, including its castle, churches, and other historic landmarks, are also worth exploring. Tuck into local cuisine in one of the many restaurants and cafes. One of the most popular dishes is ‘orecchiette con le cime di rapa’, a type of pasta with broccoli rapini. Another local favourite is ‘panzerotti’, a deep-fried pastry filled with tomato and mozzarella cheese. Carovigno is also known for its excellent olive oil and wine. Local wineries produce various red and white wines, including the popular Primitivo di Manduria and Negroamaro.

Guests can easily discover nearby attractions like Brindisi (20km), the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello, famous for its Trulli, and traditional dry stone huts with conical roofs.

The Adriatic Coast's beaches are a must-visit, ensuring an unforgettable experience in this beautiful region. Dunes surround the nearby beach of Punta Penna Grossa, and the sea has shallow waters, making it an excellent option for families with children. Another fantastic beach to visit is Lido Specchiolla, just a short drive from Pietra Di Fuoco. This long sandy beach offers clear waters, a beach club, and many restaurants and bars.
