Offering a classically refined interior brought to life by adding timeless design touches and high-end amenities, this large four-bedroom apartment is centrally located in Rome's historic heart. Just a stone’s throw from Quirinal Hill and the world-famous basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, as well as being conveniently positioned for access to Rome’s Metro service that will take you across the length and breadth of the city, this home is spread over a single level in a sought-after centuries-old period building – hence its effortless, historical sense of luxury.
Its high-ceilinged spaces welcome you first into the stylish living area that houses a small seating area and stately workspace, all finished in a chic yet understated palette of muted greys that adds to the feeling of elegance and openness. Moving through the living spaces, we come to the bright and homely kitchen and dining area. Cosy and traditional, we can imagine joining together with the rest of our group and enjoying a low-key meal bursting with inimitable Italian flavours (all washed down with a glass or two of full-bodied regional wine, of course). Large windows allow plenty of natural light, so the kitchen-dining area serves as a great setting for a laid-back breakfast, too. In contrast, traditional wooden window shutters and terracotta tiles all lend to the sense of authentic Italian charm that’s wonderfully conducive to socialising.
Along the elegant corridors, you will find four double bedrooms, two of which also house an additional single bed, bringing the total possible guest count to ten. The rooms with double and single beds would work well as self-contained family rooms. Three of the four bedrooms also have a dedicated workspace – perfect should you need to catch up on any work during your stay. There are also four lavishly and luxuriously appointed bathrooms, some en-suite. Each has a distinct colour scheme, and one boasts an inviting bathtub ideal for soaking tired muscles after a day of exploring the iconic sights littered around your doorstep.
What you should know…
- The guest count of ten includes one single bed in two of the double bedrooms, so each room sleeps three people. We think these bedrooms could work well for a small family or three friends who don’t mind sharing
- Apartment Roma enjoys a great central location, though this does allow the possibility of some noise from outside the apartment
- Your host can arrange various activities and extras for you for an additional fee. Including babysitting, housekeeping, laundry, ironing services, and a welcome hamper. An airport shuttle service and bicycle rental are also available for an extra charge

Location
About the surrounding area of Apartment RomaAbout equidistant between the iconic Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain and nestled amid the historic streets and stately squares that set Rome aside, it’s hard to beat the phenomenal location of this city-centre home.
Here, you will find yourself among some of the city’s most popular attractions – including being within walking distance of one of Rome’s most important squares: the famous Piazza Repubblica – while myriad restaurants, bars, and cafés made for people watching all vie for your attention along the cobbled laneways alive with history, heritage, and culture.
Step outside the building in which this home is located and feel immediately at one with the Eternal City, breathing in its unique atmosphere as modern-day Romans tread the very same paths as the Emperors of a bygone age.
The streets here bustling with life; as the mouth-watering scents of Italian cuisine fill the air, intermingling with the distinctive hum of the Vespas, which is still one of the city’s most popular modes of transport. Though don’t worry if two wheels aren’t your thing. The nearest Metro stations are just a short walk away from the apartment.
This apartment’s location offers a great compromise between being right in the heart of Rome’s most popular touristic area and within easy reach of its emblematic sights while still being afforded a glimpse of an authentic, more laid-back way of life within these ancient walls. Mingle with locals in the lively trattorias, most of which are family-friendly and welcoming of larger groups. Or, sit back and soak in the balmy night air from the outside seating area of a hidden watering hole, sipping an Aperol Spritz or aniseed-rich Negroni as Rome’s fashionable crowd waft past.
Of course, there are always museums, churches, castles, and parks waiting to be explored. Head up to the spectacular Villa Borghese and take a turn through its magnificent gardens or stand awe-struck in the atmospheric environs of the Pantheon. You’ll have earned that steaming bowl of Carbonara at the end of the day, having discovered well-trod Roman roads.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesApartment Roma offers an excellent option for your next family holiday thanks to its inviting and homely kitchen, comfortable bedrooms with dedicated workspaces (ideal for keeping the kids up to date with any homework or just keeping them occupied with some writing or drawing), and its central location. We think any little (or not so little) ones will love the storybook setting of this home, allowing them to let their imaginations run riot as they are transported back in time to the days of Julius Caesar when Rome was alive with the roar of wild animals and the clink of the Gladiators’ armour.
Many of the city’s main attractions, including the imagination-firing Colosseum and the beguiling Trevi Fountain, are within walking distance (these two, in particular, being less than a mile from the front door), so little legs won’t get too tired to make it to these incredible spots. You’ll also find yourself conveniently located for the nearby Metro stops, making exploring the rest of the city a breeze.
Furthermore, hosts are happy to provide a cot for an additional €20 per cot per night for added convenience and comfort. A children’s highchair is also available upon request.
