Overview
Villa Berrita is a beautiful, detached villa with a pool and exquisite garden, just a stone's throw away from the white-washed shores of Salina Bamba, in Capo Coda Cavallo, on Sardinia's northeastern coastline.
The northeastern part of the island is known to be one of the most magnificent, with affluent places like Costa Smeralda and Porto Cervo, as well as Sardinia’s 4th largest city Olbia. From wide-stretching beaches with clear sea, rocky trails offering gorgeous views, flashy marinas, cute fishing villages and great golf courses, it is the place to be for a truly relaxing holiday.
Spread across two floors and boasting not just one but two living rooms and two kitchens, this spacious and cosy villa sleeps 8 guests across four bedrooms. Each room oozes Italian style, with homely decor and elegant furnishings that will make you feel as comfortable as you do at home. Expect beds draped in stonewashed linen sheets, a minimalist colour palette and marine influences weaved in gently into the accessories.
The ground-floor living room opens up to a small terrace which leads to the garden. Here you can find a sleek, oval-shaped pool framed by cypress and palm trees and a wooden pool deck with sun loungers. This is the ultimate spot for soaking up the blazing Mediterranean sunshine with a cocktail by your side. On a warm evening, enjoy the cinematic views by setting up your own picnic on the manicured lawn with a spread made of local cheeses, hams and jams.
When you get tired of lazing around the pool, Sardinia’s rich coastline is only a short walk away. Local amenities including diving centres and a restaurant are within walking distance while some beautiful beaches can also be reached on foot. Spiaggia di Salina Bamba is only a 5-minute walk away and coastal trails offering splendid views are also within close proximity. Past all the villages at the very northeastern tip of the coast, you can find a scenic spot, Belvedere Punta Est, which is accessible via a rocky trail, and its charming beach, Spiaggia di Capo Coda Cavallo, which is perfect for watching the sunset.
The area is also favoured by sports enthusiasts and features numerous golf clubs such as the Golf Club Puntaldia and tennis courts like the Tennis I Giardini d'Aldia where you can practice your swing.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa BerrittaVilla Berritta is fantastically positioned just moments away from the seafront, with direct views of the glistening blue lagoon that is Salina Bamba, in Capo Coda Cavallo in northeast Sardinia.
Capo Coda Cavallo features a stunning coastline of sandy beaches and it comes as no surprise that the area is sprinkled with tasteful holiday homes. This convenient location makes it the go-to base for beach lovers who want to make the most of the sunny Sardinian weather.
Within a 20-minute walk along country roads you could be taking a dip in the sea at a number of idyllic beaches including Spiaggia di Salina Bamba, Spiaggia di Cala Suaraccia and Spiaggia Cala Brandinchi. In just a 5-10 minute drive you can also reach Spiaggia Grande Baia, Spiaggia di Salinedda and the breathtaking Spiaggia di Capo Coda Cavallo at the tip of the peninsula. At any of these spots you can enjoy tranquil sea views and relax amongst glorious unspoilt scenery.
Those who prefer hiking can enjoy clifftop walks, hiking from beach to beach before ending the day with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear sea. Alternatively, there are various diving centres within close proximity of the villa, as well as a boat rental service just a 10-minute drive away at Spiaggia Cala Brandinchi.
When you fancy dining out, there is a seasonal restaurant just a 5-minute walk away. Alternatively, stock up on delicious local ingredients – the olive oil, tomatoes and wine are to die for – in the closest supermarket, only a 5-minute drive away.
Although you will be spoiled for choice with so many beautiful corners to discover close to the villa, Sardinia also has so much more to offer just a little further afield. Within an hour’s drive you can be strolling around the glitzy village of Porto Cervo, frequented by jet-setters and celebrities who flock here during summer months on their flashy yachts. It is a superb place to do some high-end shopping and enjoy a fine-dining experience too.
An hour’s drive further north all the way to the edge of the island takes you to the Capo Ferro Lighthouse, which boasts panoramic views of the sea and neighbouring islets. This exclusive part of Sardinia is known as Costa Smeralda, a rugged stretch of azure waters and powder-soft white sand which is one of the most expensive places to live in Europe.
If you are looking for a slightly different experience, hop on a boat tour and sail away to one of the nearest islets. Maddalena is one of the most loved by visitors and this aquatic constellation of tiny islands is the place to go for dolphin and turtle spotting and swimming in translucent water with soft sand beneath your feet.
In just a 30-minute car journey, you can reach Olbia – one of Sardinia’s biggest cities and buzzing with life and culture. Here you will find an array of restaurants, bars and cafés, as well as little winding streets lined with everything from souvenir shops to artisan boutiques. Visit the medieval San Simplicio Basilica dating to the 11th century, stroll along the palm tree-lined promenade or discover the epic views from hilltop Nuraghe Riu Mulinu archaeological site.
