Overview
Nestled in the dense forests and rolling hills of northern Sardinia, Villa Leonilda is an utterly unique five-bedroom home very close to the infamous Costa Smeralda, with an exclusive pool and sublime scenery.
Arriving at the villa, you will immediately appreciate that it is anything but ordinary, with extravagant gardens and interesting architecture. The main living area has plentiful chairs and sofas to accommodate the whole group, allowing you to gather around the fire on a cool evening or in front of the TV for a quiet night in after a fun day of exploring the island. The traditional, spacious kitchen features wooden cabinets, all the latest mod cons and a large dining table. A central island offers the perfect space for everyone to get involved with meal prep.
All five bedrooms have air conditioning available and three have fabulous en-suite bathrooms. Each exquisite bedroom has been intricately decorated to create an interesting, stylish and comfortable environment, with ornate bed-frames and soft lighting, plus timber beams stretching across the ceilings. Several of the rooms enjoy direct access to the first-floor balcony, overlooking the garden and the stunning local countryside, complete with sofas, tables and chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in the fresh air! The double glass doors flood the rooms with natural light and ensure a flow of fresh air, allowing nature to enter and dissipate throughout. Each of the bathrooms is tiled in traditional colours and features modern fittings.
In the enchanting garden you can enjoy the refreshing, calming scents and sounds of nature, with exquisite views of the surrounding forests. Allow your senses to truly be ignited by the variety of flowers flourishing around the pool, the walkways through the vast lawn and the traditional water features that are installed throughout the area. Relax on the comfortable seats and sun-loungers or totally luxuriate on the snug bed by the pool. Endless relaxing and dining options throughout the garden and on the balconies allow you to enjoy alfresco meals or a glass of wine in the vibrant natural landscape. A barbeque completes the exterior offerings.
The famous rugged coastline of Sardinia is short drive away from the property, while the thriving town of Porto Cervo will meet all your daily requirements.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa LeonildaJust 8km away lie Grande Pevero and Capriccioli, the famous beaches of the Costa Smeralda, so named for their brilliant green-blue waters which crash over the white sand of what are some of the most exclusive beaches in Europe. Be sure to visit and check out the modern harbour of Porto Cervo, the polo matches, the luxury yachts, the many boats of the annual Sardinia Cup sailing regatta or even the vintage car rally! Or for a different experience, venture to the mountain communities of San Pantaleo and Arzachena further inland which tend to steer clear of the glamour of the coastline.
You’re also perfectly set up to explore the rest of the rugged landscape of Sardinia. We would highly recommend exploring the thousands of historic Nuraghe stone buildings of Barumini, the mysterious Bronze Age stone ruins shaped like beehives. Also, the capital city of Cagliari, on the Southern tip of the island, is 4000 years old and has a fantastic array of markets, cafés and restaurants, many offering stunning city and harbour views, as well as an opera house and countless Italian fashion boutiques.
With almost 2000km of coastline, Sardinia is a wonderful spot for any beach-lover: surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean and all kinds of coves and beaches of white-sand, stretching to the distance! While the breath-taking mountainous interior is ideal for those looking for hiking and cycling opportunities with the same incredible views – perfect for a little exercise and adventure during your time away!
