Small yet perfectly formed, you’ll love staying in Dimora Tregole, overlooking the Tuscan countryside, in the village of Fonterutoli, near to the medieval city of Siena, in northern Italy. This charming ground floor apartment has two spacious double bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to four guests, ideal for a small family holiday or a couple of couples sharing. The house is constructed out of traditional local stone, with classic arched windows, and wrought iron Juliet balconies, that offer glimpses of village life and the picturesque countryside. The apartment has a bijou stone terrace for alfresco living, and comes with all the mod cons, including complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout. Best of all, every morning you will get served a continental breakfast to set you up for the day. The interiors are a clever combination of modern luxury with country cottage comfort, decorated in a calming colour palette of soft subtle neutrals and hues of blues.
Access your holiday home from home via the independent entrance, where you will be welcomed by a light, bright, and airy open plan living space. The seating area has an inviting sofa, with two footstools, handy side tables, a flat screen television, and an enclosed fireplace for those cosy nights in. The galley style kitchen is fully fitted with all the appliances you will need to cater for your stay, and a four seater table and chairs for dining indoors. There are two beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with double beds, pretty wardrobes, bedside tables, comfy chairs, and Juliet balconies. There is a shared smart bathroom, with a shower, vanity unit, bidet, and a loo. A useful storeroom, and an outside annexe that is home to a washing machine completes the accommodation.

In the village of Fonterutoli you will find local stores stocked with provisions for your stay, and family run trattoria serving delicious Tuscan dishes.
The area is known for its picturesque landscapes and excellent wines, both of which you can combine with a tour of the many vineyards, most notably Chianti Classico. Visit the local winery of the Mazzei family, and sample the Castell di Fonterutoli vintages. See the castle of the same name and learn a little of the local history. There is also an agriturismi opportunity to visit a farm or vineyard and learn about the activities that produces the delicious food and wines.
Spend the day in Siena, get creative at the Children’s Art & Theatre Workshops, visit the interactive Museo Civico, wander the historic streets, and eat ice cream in the Piazza del Campo. Go further afield to Florence, play and picnic in the Boboli Gardens behind the Pitti Palace, interact at the Galileo and Leonardo da Vinci Museums, and enjoy a family feast in one of the many child friendly restaurants. In Arezzo there’s an Adventure Park, where they can get active, climb trees, and zip line, or visit the interactive Toy Museum, before sitting in the Piazza Grande and marvelling at the medieval architecture.
