Villa Malatesta is a stunning modern villa nestled in rural Tuscany, blending contemporary design with traditional stone. Originally a farm building, the home has been thoughtfully transformed into a spacious retreat, perfect for up to six guests. Ideal for a family or friends' getaway, the villa is composed of three buildings connected by sleek glass walkways, set over two floors.
The villa’s heart is the large living space with comfy sofas, a fireplace, and a flatscreen TV, while the well-equipped kitchen and adjoining dining room offer a great setting for meals. There are three bright bedrooms, two on the ground floor and one on the first, each with chic en-suite bathrooms and garden views.
Outside, the 8000m² garden features lawns, established trees, and fragrant flower beds. Guests can enjoy al-fresco dining using the wood-burning oven or barbecue, with covered seating areas. The private swimming pool can be heated, and a relaxing hot tub is available for evening soaks.
The villa is surrounded by peaceful woodlands and walking trails, perfect for a tranquil escape. The nearby town of Volterra (13km) offers shops, eateries, and historic sites, while San Gimignano (17km) and the beach at Marina di Bibbona (55km) are also within easy reach for day trips.
What you should know…
- Due to the rural location, guests will require a car while staying here. Please note that there is a 3km unpaved road leading to the villa - a suitable vehicle is advised.
- With the option to add 2 additional beds to one of the suites at an additional cost, there is room for the whole family!
- Please note that air conditioning is only available in the living room/kitchen, suite and gym room.
- Our four-legged guests will find a kennel, two metal bowls and a set of towels for them. Pets are very welcome!

Though the home is set inland, you are able to visit the coast which can be reached in just over an hour. There are a great range of child-friendly beaches around 55km away by car, including Marina di Bibbona. This Blue Flag sandy beach is a brilliant choice for a family day out, offering soft sand and clear shallow waters for paddling. Behind the beach there is also a pine forest with nature trails for scenic afternoon walks.
