Built in 1691, this unique masterpiece of late Baroque architecture, adjacent to the beautiful medieval town of Asolo, is an authentic villa typical of the Veneto region which oozes elegance, sophistication and history. In May of 1987 the Queen Mother enjoyed her lunch at "the villa with pastel coloured stuccoes and walls", immersed in lush scents of her favourite flower, the centenary rose.

Set in the rolling, luscious hills of Northern Italy, Villa Rinaldi enjoys a truly spectacular location and on sunny days you can glimpse the Euganean Hills and even Venice in the distance! At the end of the approach along the winding lane, you arrive at the majestic garden entrance and vast grounds enveloped by an ancient stone wall. An avenue of flowers brings you to the main entrance.
Beyond the threshold, the interior is utterly unique. Enjoying both the character of the traditional, classical décor and the comfort of modern upgrades, each room is a timeless work of art.

In the main building there is a total of four living areas - two on the ground floor plus a smaller one and a grand drawing room on the second floor. The lounges of Villa Rinaldi are truly spectacular, with remarkable décor including drapery, panels, beams and stuccos creating a thoroughly elegant yet comfortable feel. Despite the classical design, there are multiple modern touches, including WiFi throughout.

The ornate dining room sits alongside the two ground-floor living rooms and offers an exquisite location for a meal with the whole group. The kitchen is also on the ground floor, and exudes a more traditional character, with a large fireplace and wooden furniture.

Up the first of the staircases, on the first floor, alongside the grand living room, there are two of the seven bedrooms. Both feature double beds and their own seating areas as well as painted ceiling beams and beautiful stuccos above the bed.

The further five bedrooms are found on the second floor, including a master suite with several fully-stocked bookshelves for your reading pleasure, armchairs, classical wallpaper and a luxurious French-style king-size bed in the centre of it. The en-suite features more interesting tiles and patterns. There are two more single bedrooms, another double and finally one twin room, completing the main building bedrooms.

A separate apartment can accommodate another two adults. It is ideal for those seeking a little more privacy and has its own living area, kitchenette, bedroom with king-size bed and bathroom.

Just as intricate and beautiful as the interior, the exterior facilities of Villa Rinaldi offer all the grandeur of the house itself. The ornate wire gates welcome you into a garden bursting with life. Stone steps and a hillside path lead you up to the stunning private pool, adjoined by a changing room with shower and toilet facilities. At 16m x 8m there’s plenty of room for everyone to join the fun or do some morning laps before an al fresco breakfast on the terrace!

Dotted with flowers, avenues and sculptures, you can truly lose yourself among the olive trees and the rosebushes. Dine under the stars at the traditional stone table, or simply sip a glass of local prosecco on one of the many terraces in the array of fantastic chairs and sofas.

Despite enjoying such a privileged position clad in the hillside, Villa Rinaldi is in fact just a stone's throw away from the centre of Asolo and in a picturesque part of Italy for experiencing all kinds of food, music and history. Asolo dates back to medieval times and is full of artisan shops selling local crafts and restaurants and trattorias serving delicious local produce. The Rocca fortress dates back to the 12th-century and, with views towards the mighty Dolomites range, it is not to be missed!

Other cities within around an hour's drive include Vicenzo, Treviso and Venice. The top sight in Vicenza is the UNESCO-listed theatre while famous Venice makes for a fantastic day trip. Spend your time meandering through the boutique-lined streets, visiting St Mark's Square and taking a boat trip along the canals.

To discover more of the area's outstanding natural beauty, visit Lake Garda or head north to the Dolomites National Park where you will find forests, valleys and breathtaking views.

  • A beautiful villa

    on 11/07/2024

I would like to say that all arrangements for our holiday were very satisfactory. It is a beautiful villa and it was just like staying in a top rate hotel as we were well looked after and were very surprised to find Christina (the owner) appearing on the Sunday morning to provide our breakfast. She is a delightful lady.
I would make 2 small downsides to the villa and town. Namely, it is a little bit of a challenge for those with some mobility problems to cope with the steps up to the villa from the road -- about 75 steps from road to master bedroom -- and it is a little bit of a climb to the swimming pool. Secondly, when we were there the town was quiet and I suspect that this may have been a little bit of a disappointment to some of our group who were looking for some night life! There are, however, several very good restaurants in Asola. Having said that, I would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Rinaldi.

  • Unique and memorable experience

    on 26/11/2019

Excellent breakfast, very personal and delightful hosting, and a truly unique and memorable experience. We look forward to the opportunity to come again in the future. Most highly recommended.

  • Very special

    on 06/10/2019

Villa Rinaldi is a wonderful and very special place not to be compared with any regular hotel. The place is quiet, peaceful, the surroundings green and spacious, the rooms very clean and comfortable, and host and staff extremely friendly. It made our stay very special and to an unforgettable experience. Thank you!

  • Fabulous!

    on 27/09/2019

The property itself was beautiful, amazing views, quiet but within walking distance of the village. The prosecco and snacks in the kitchen on arrival were such a nice touch. Anything you could possibly think of was provided. And of course Christina our host was fabulous, so accommodating and gave us a lovely tour of the main villa before leaving. Thank you so much Christina for a lovely few days, we will definitely be back!

  • Great location and generous host

    on 26/09/2019

This is a very special place, highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay. The accommodation and setting are beautiful, inside the grounds of a historic villa, with sunny terraces, lush green lawns and groves of olive trees. The location is great - five minutes on foot into the centre of town, and also perfectly placed for some of the nicest walking routes out into the surrounding countryside. Cristina is such a generous host: the fridge was fully stocked when we arrived - including tomatoes and lettuce from the garden - and we found everything we could possibly need for cooking. We had a wonderful time.

  • A dream stay

    on 10/09/2019

One can only dream of staying at an elegant, historic, and peaceful estate centrally located in a magical village. We didn't have to dream! I am looking forward to my next visit already!

  • Magical, a piece of paradise on earth

    on 01/09/2019

We liked everything about Villa Rinaldi. It is the most beautiful family home. I have never experienced such warmth of a welcome and classically luxurious surroundings both in Christina's beautiful home and in the surroundings. Perched high on a hill with stunning views all around and only a few minutes walk to the beautiful village with numerous restaurants and bars.
Villa Rinaldi is without a doubt a very special place and we were so lucky to have discovered this beautiful property and family home which we didn't want to leave and will most certainly come back to visit again.
Delicious breakfast was served every morning on the terrace overlooking the hills with distant views towards Venice. Our " Suite" was absolutely stunning and comfortable - there are really no words to describe the comfort and wonderful experience we had staying at Villa Rinaldi. Christina was there if we needed any information or help and left us in total privacy to have the full use of her family home, which has been in her family for decades. We felt so welcome and at home in this amazing villa. If you can find a piece of paradise on earth - this is it... not to mention the huge swimming pool tucked in amongst the olive trees. A place where beautiful memories are made...

  • It blew us away!

    on 07/08/2019

Absolutely incredible villa. The property blew us away with its gardens, pool, beautiful views and incredible hospitality. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we ended up extending our trip so we could stay longer. We hope to return one day soon as this place felt very special. One of a kind home and an adorable, warm town.

  • Comfortable stay, beautiful place!

    on 21/07/2019

The apartment was just fine and very cosy, with everything you might need. Beautiful place! Swimming pool, outdoor amenities and fine location. Special thanks to Cristina who was a lovely host and person!

  • Dimora di gran classe in paesino da fiaba

    Created on 15/07/2019

La sensazione di essere una principessa, svegliandomi in una camera da fiaba e passeggiando negli sconfinati giardini curati nei minimi dettagli, con riferimenti sicuri e discreti nella persona del proprietario e dei custodi, tuttti gentilissimi.

  • The perfect place with a perfect host

    on 10/07/2019

The highlight of our entire Veneto trip was our stay in Christina's home. Her historic house is magnificently detailed: Unbelievably beautiful architecture, stunning antiques, and breathtaking views from every window, every lawn, and every patio. Our room brimmed with antiques, a wonderfully perfect bed with soft freshly ironed sheets, the daily replenished tea service, the hallway of closet space, and the walk-in shower that was enormous. Also, the exquisite, crystal clear, absolutely huge swimming pool nestled between the castle and Christina's home was a daily delight. Christina's house is surrounded by manicured grounds that are immaculately maintained and that generously host a multitude and variety of blooming fragrant flowers. The many olive trees, the lemons ripening on bushes outside the front door, the breakfast area entwined with vines perched high above the entire hill-town. The fresh fruit provided every day and the special touches throughout the house were so thoughtfully, generously, and lovingly given by Christina. This is a perfect place with a perfect host. My husband and I are so grateful to have had this experience and memory. Thank you.

  • L'ottima atmosfera

    on 05/07/2019

Sarebbe un peccato pubblicizzare troppo questa struttura: la 'folla' ne rovinerebbe l'ottima atmosfera. Grazie davvero per l'accoglienza!

  • Staying here was a privilege

    on 21/05/2019

If you're looking for a sign to book something - THIS IS IT! Cristina is a beautiful host with a spectacular home, and staying there is an absolute privilege. I cannot fault the space whatsoever. From a complimentary Prosecco to recommendations of jewellers to the occasional visit from their beautiful pup, Villa Rinaldi ticks all the boxes. Grazie mille to the family for having us and treating us like friends. We will be back!

  • Perfect location and gracious host

    on 01/03/2019

My husband and I loved Villa Rinaldi. The setting was beautiful with the accommodations befitting the surroundings. It was the perfect location for our vacation - walking distance to town and easy day trips to local vineyards, Venice, Monte Grappa and the Dolomites. Cristina was a gracious host answering all our questions and offering recommendations on local favorites. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and more. We particularly loved the fresh fruit. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. We definitely want to return.

  • Breathtaking views and extensive gardens

    on 09/01/2019

Villa Rinaldi is wonderful... a truly exquisite villa, which is steeped in history. The views are breathtaking due to the elevated position and the extensive gardens are magnificent. We received a most warm welcome from Cristina who was an utterly charming and gracious host. It was tastefully furnished, equipped with everything you should need. Cristina had left a bottle of Prosecco, water, milk etc for us which was so thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would be delighted to return sometime again in the future.
