Overlooking the dazzling blue sea near to the historic town and beaches of Cefalù; Casa Provena is ideally situated for a holiday exploring Sicily’s Northern coast.

If you are searching for a villa which can accommodate a large group and yet offers some privacy for individual families or couples then this is the perfect home! Casa Provena can sleep up to 16 guests and the bedrooms are split between the ground floor and the first floor which are accessed separately.

The ground floor of this bright and spacious home is where you will find the expansive kitchen, living and dining areas. Here you can come together and enjoy talking the night away over an Italian feast. When you wish to retire for the evening then you can choose to sleep in one of the 3 bedrooms on the ground floor or the 3 bedrooms on the first floor. 2 of the first-floor bedrooms also have amazing mezzanine levels with twin beds which would be ideal for those travelling with older children.

The outside space is a brilliant feature and there are lots of different areas for you to unwind and make the most of the temperate climate. Enjoy spectacular sea views from the first-floor terrace or swim in the private pool before relaxing on the comfy outdoor sofas.

The closest shop and restaurants are just 4km away by car in the quaint village of Sant'Ambrogio. It would be easy to overlook this village as Cefalù is so near, but make sure to pay Sant'Ambrogio a visit to experience this truly unspoilt Sicilian village. While here you can pick up some groceries and enjoy a traditional meal with panoramic sea views in the village and there is also an attractive pebble beach and great hiking trails.

For a larger selection of shops and eateries, Cefalù is just 7km away from the villa. Cefalù is one of Italy’s finest seaside towns with a family friendly sandy beach and picturesque harbour. The town is also packed with historic architecture and attractions such as the 12th century Duomo di Cefalù which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is filled with amazing Byzantine mosaics. This picture-postcard town is packed with unique Arab-Norman buildings and is a lovely place to enjoy an evening meal soaking in the atmosphere.

Casa Provena is located in an enviable position overlooking the sea in the North of Sicily. Tucked away on a semi-rural lane close to the town of Cefalù, the villa is a great base for visiting the countryside, towns and coastline of this gorgeous area.

The villa has plenty of space and a vast garden with private pool and outdoor dining areas, so you may find it hard to leave! When you need to visit a supermarket or wish to go out for dinner then there are numerous options nearby. Sant'Ambrogio is where you will find the closest shop, this little fishing village is just 4km away from the villa and looks over an unspoilt coastline. Though small, you can pick up groceries in Sant'Ambrogio or try one of the restaurants offering authentic local cuisine and delicious seafood. There is also a beautiful beach in the village which is much quieter than some of the others in the area.

Cefalù is a much-loved seaside town on Sicily’s northern coast and this bustling town is just 7km away from the villa by car. Cefalù has a lovely sandy beach, a harbour and plenty of shops, bars and eateries so is a really great place to have so nearby. Cefalù is also a well-preserved historical town packed with distinctive Arab-Norman architecture such as the Duomo di Cefalù a 12th century, mosaic filled cathedral. You can also find a Saracen washhouse, a 13th century palace and a museum to visit. You won’t be able to miss a huge rocky hill in the middle of the town which is called the Rocca which you can climb to take in incredible views and see the ancient ruins at the top. If you would prefer to see Cefalù from the sea then take a boat trip from round the harbour along the stunning coastline, the little boats will stop off so you can snorkel in the clear water and pop into magical caves along the route.

Another charming place for a day out is Geraci-Siculo which is 43km from the villa. This picturesque inland village is perched on a rocky outcrop in the staggering protected landscape of the national park. This medieval village is a fantastic place to walk around for the day and after a day exploring you can stop off in a little café to sample some of the local ricotta cheese and sundried tomatoes.

A little further out but worth the trip is Palermo which is 80km away. You can be in the island’s capital Palermo in under 90-minutes and there is plenty to see and do there. The city is a paradise for art and history buffs but it is also a fabulous place for a spot of shopping.

Just 7km from the villa, the seaside town Cefalù is known for being family friendly. The beach is one of the best in the area and offers paddleboarding and even a surf school for children and with plenty of sun loungers and beach bars you can spend the whole day unwinding on the beach while the kids play. Children will also love taking the tourist train to visit the historical centre too.

If you would like to see the area from a different perspective and head out on an adventure that your kids will always remember then 12.5km away you will find Ippo Club Cefalù which is a riding centre. Offering full day treks and excursions as well as lessons at their riding school, there is something for everyone and is a great way to enjoy the stunning natural landscape.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €1200 charged to client’s credit card by the owner as a pre-authorisation upon arrival or paid in cash to the owner and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection. For 2025 bookings, an additional deposit of €100 in cash is required at check-in for urban waste disposal, which is fully refundable if waste is properly disposed of at the end of your stay. If recycled waste is not disposed of, a charge of €50 will apply. However, if all rubbish is left mixed and not properly sorted and disposed of, the full €100 deposit will be retained.
Arrival time 4.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m. Check-in outside this time may be subject to an extra cost. Please enquire for more details.
Departure time 10.00 a.m.
Energy costs included? Included up to 300Kwh per week then extra cost based on consumption and payable locally.
Heating costs included? No, extra charge depending on consumption, payable locally.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Yes.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Changeover day Saturday. All other changeover days on request.

Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, a pet supplement of €50 per pet per week will apply (payable locally).
