You are in for a feast for the senses when you stay in the fabulous Villa Kentia, perfectly positioned on the hillside overlooking the town of Carini, near the north coast of the Italian island of Sicily.
This sumptuous villa is arranged over one floor, and has six superbly appointed bedrooms, which can comfortably accommodate up to thirteen guests in some style.
The detached villa comes with a sweeping panoramic view terrace, which is home to a centrepiece freeform swimming pool, and if desired a cocktail waiter can be arranged too. The property comes with all the mod cons, including air conditioning in all the bedrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, satellite televisions, and an eco-friendly charging point for electric cars. The interiors are exquisite, showcasing uniquely styled rooms, furnished with designer pieces, Mediterranean tiled floors, and an eclectic colour scheme.
Enter the villa, where a wrought iron Moorish gate opens into a reception room, with a very useful bar. Follow through to the Mediterranean style dining area, with a timbered ceiling, has an eight seater wooden table with white chairs, an open hearth fire for those cooler evenings, and footstools to sit on. Go towards the light where you will find the most extraordinary octagonal tower sitting room with panoramic view windows, that is home to three colourful matching sofas, a glass coffee table, and a sideboard with a flat screen television, all underneath a sparkling chandelier.
The country cottage style kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances which you will need to cater for your holiday, or better still arrange a private chef.
The six different design bedrooms are on the same level, and all come with complimentary air conditioning. There are three bedrooms with double beds, one of which has a safe, and all with ensuite bathrooms, one of which has a bath tub. There are two bedrooms with double beds, and one bedroom with a double and a single bed. These bedrooms share two bathrooms, one of which has a bath tub, and the other has a shower.
The tiered, city and sea view, terracotta tiled terrace is the star of the show. Pass the oasis style garden planted with colourful cacti, and make your way to the stupendous freeform swimming pool, with a corner hydromassage hot tub.
Relax on the surrounding sun loungers, and bathe under shady parasols. Lunch at the patio six seater dining set. Meet at the soft seating spot for sun set cocktails. Feast alfresco at the twelve seater dining set under the sail, with dishes prepared in the summer kitchen and barbeque, and raise a toast to the most memorable holiday.

- Villa Kentia is eco-friendly, with an electric charging point for your car. A car is highly recommended to explore the local area.
- Energy consumption is limited to 420kWh a week, any more than that may be subject to charge.

About the surrounding area of Villa KentiaVilla Kentia sits on a hillside overlooking the town of Carini, in the province of Palermo, near the north coast of the Italian island of Sicily. The nearest international airport is in Palermo, a scenic drive through the Sicilian countryside to your holiday home.
In the town of Carini you will find shops and stores stocking provisions for your stay, as well as the medieval fortress of Carini Castle. Carini is noted for its many malls for those who fancy a day’s shopping. Carini’s coastline is populated with lots of lovely beaches, the nearest is nine kilometres away, of which Terrasini is one of the better ones. For those of a ghoulish disposition, the nearby Catacombs of Villagrazia are home to some monumental tombs full of beautiful paintings.
Spend the day in the fascinating city of Palermo, nineteen kilometres from the villa, rich in history, culture, and a mix of Arab, Norman, Gothic and Catalan architecture. Visit the Royal Palace and the Palatine Chapel with its Byzantine mosaics. See the Baroque influenced Cathedral with some notable tombs. Stand in the Quattro Canti, aka Piazza Vigliena, and admire the four seasons facades. Get a flavour of Sicilian life in the Ballaro Market, shop for fresh produce and local specialities.
In the evening attend an opera at the nineteenth century Teatro Massimo, one of the largest opera houses in Europe, worth a look for the grand exterior and interiors alone. Sicily is renowned for its culinary delights, enjoy supper in family run trattorias and sample the local specialities.

The best family friendly beaches are a thirty minute drive away. Highly recommended are Modello, a popular beach with fine golden sand and clear blue sea, with a lively atmosphere and a selection of watersports including paddleboarding, windsurfing, and kayaking for your older children. Take a boat to the Isola delle Femmine, a small island with a beautiful beach, and crystal clear eaters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Castellammare del Golfo is a picturesque harbour town with a beach, and a great place to enjoy a family meal by the sea shore.
Spend the day in the city of Palermo, where there is an Aquarium, and a Botanical Garden, as well as the fascinating architecture and gelaterias. Take a trip to the ancient Greek Segesta Archeological Site with a Doric temple and theatre. Have some family fun in the Adventure Park Bosco Alcomo, and zip line through the trees.

Excellent villa!
Excellent villa! Even more beautiful than the photos. Up quite a large hill but parking available for 3 cars. Only 2 house keys were provided. View is gorgeous, kitchen well equipped. Great location for driving around western Sicily. Not much to do in the area on foot but very nice villa to enjoy so it doesn’t really matter.

Absolutely beautiful villa
We all had a great time, the villa was spotless and well maintained. The pool and outside space were amazing, lots of areas to eat and relax in. Good location for exploring the west coast and Palermo. The owner and manager were extremely helpful and sorted out any issues or queries we had. Would highly recommend.
