Sales Consultant

Loyalty Sales Consultant

Are you passionate about travel and customer services with a broad knowledge of travel and the ability to build strong relationships with guests? Do you have an enthusiastic and polite telephone manner and exceptional attention to detail?

Oliver’s Travels is looking for a travel expert to join our fantastic sales team and help us maintain and grow our repeat bookers. You will be proactively speaking to our current guests to engage with them and create leads and sell holidays.

This role is ideal for anyone wanting to start a career in travel and sales.

This full-time position is for 5 days a week Monday–Sunday, on a rotation. Our working hours are 9am-5.30pm with a minimum of 3 days in the office including a mandatory Wednesday. During peak periods we open the office 8am – 8pm.

The Role

To engage with previous guests who have travelled but who have not yet booked their next villa holiday with Oliver’s Travels. You will be proactively outbound calling guests to engage with them to create highly qualified leads and turn them into confirmed bookings. You will also engage with customers through live chat and online leads.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Engage with Oliver’s Travels guests over the phone and email to encourage them to travel with us again making them aware of their holiday credit.
  • Taking responsibility for managing your guest list from initial reconnection to completion of booking.
  • Proactively calling allocated guests from the Oliver’s Travels mailing list.
  • Using our data to find reasons to call guests.
  • Ensuring that you are keeping up to date with Oliver’s Travels product knowledge and budget requirements.
  • Proactively generate qualified leads by using your travel knowledge and training to help them with any future villa holidays.
  • Recording guest information accurately on the Oliver’s Travels system.
  • Actively remind guests of Oliver’s Travels and their outstanding holiday credit incentive.
  • Monitor all enquiries to ensure they have been responded to promptly and go on to successfully convert.
  • Attending all internal and external training courses.
  • Conducting educational and research trips abroad, complete all required website and product updates and present back to teams.
  • Training colleagues with knowledge gained from areas visited.
  • Such other duties as management may reasonably require from time to time.

What you need (experience and skills):

  • An insatiable appetite for sales & impeccable customer service.
  • Outstanding people skills and phone skills.
  • Strong communication skills that allow you to inform, help and advise customers clearly and in a manner that makes clients feel valued.
  • A high standard of both written and spoken English is essential.
  • To be organised and efficient and an ability to work well under pressure quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for boutique and luxury travel.
  • Working hours are 9am-5:30pm with a minimum of 3 days in the office (8am to 8pm on shift during peak times).
  • Availability to work full time 5 days a week on a rotating shift, inclusive of semi-regular weekend work (typically 2 days per calendar month).
  • Fluent in French is desirable.

Additional Information:

You’ll be working in a team of hard-working and passionate travelers from a range of countries in our Clapham office where breakfast, drinks and early finish Fridays are all on the company!

Working hours are 9am-5:30pm, Monday to Sunday - weekends are required on rotation.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in the office each week.

Competitive salary plus Bonus.
