Villa Happy is a beautiful recently built 6 bedroom farmhouse that offers luxury and character as well as the benefits of an indoor and outdoor private pool. Located in the tiny village of Sannat best known as the gateway to the Ta’ Ċenċ plateau on the edge of the village and the spectacular Ta’ Ċenċ cliffs, you are surrounded by natural beauty.
Gozo is the second–largest of the Maltese Islands and is reached by ferry from Malta. Unspoilt and unhurried, Gozo is a magical destination with a real ‘get away from it all’ feel offering 26 miles of glorious scenery surrounded by crystal clear seas.
Villa Happy is a stroll from village life, with church bells ringing, cobbled streets and handful of charming restaurants and bars to enjoy. Only a short drive will take you to gorgeous beaches and the historical capital city Victoria. The property is stunning inside and out and is one of 5 farmhouses that blend seamlessly into the gorgeous surrounding countryside.
Villa Happy has been lovingly built in traditional style and combines open beam ceilings, warm stone walls, cool tiles and intricate features with stylish furnishings and contemporary twists to create a tasteful yet authentic retreat designed for comfort.
The property is air conditioned in each room and offers a fresh take on traditional style. The airy open plan living space has large comfy sofas to sink into, a smart TV and wood burning fireplace. The farmhouse style kitchen and dining area is vast and very impressive making it a lovely space for lively dinner parties and fabulous feasts. The kitchen offers all the mod cons and should delight any chef.
A delightful reading room with sofa be is perfect for those quiet moments or, for larger parties, can be converted into a bedroom with en-suite bathroom offering great flexibility.
The First Floor is home to 4 large airy bedrooms, each enjoying the luxury of an en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are double bedrooms and Bedrooms 3 and 4 are flexible twin rooms making this an ideal layout for families.
Private, calm and spacious Bedroom 5 is a gorgeous double bedroom on the Second Floor, this lovely bedroom has en-suite facilities and a private terrace where you can relax and enjoy beautiful views and a sundowner or two!
Villa Happy has the perfect outside space with great views, where you can restore and relax on long sunny days and warm balmy evenings. The dining space is ideal for relaxed breakfasts, alfresco parties and fun barbeques and the sun drenched deck has a large, sparkling swimming pool (6.55 x 4 metres), framed by comfy loungers and a shady parasol.
The property offers a lovely indoor pool (6.4 x 3m) heated during winter months and is an additional luxury that everybody should enjoy!

About the surrounding area of Villa HappyGozo means joy and a visit to Malta’s smaller, quieter, and greener sister should bring exactly that! Separated by 5km of sea and taking 1.5 to 2 hours from Malta Airport, Gozo is connected by frequent ferry services from Cirkewwa Port on the North side of Malta and fast boats from Malta’s capital city, Valetta.
Villa Happy is in an area of natural beauty, and Sannat is the gateway to the Ta’ Cenc plateau and Cliffs which is Gozo’s primary birding site. The tiny village has mini market to pick up essentials and a handful of restaurants and bars where you can watch the world go by.
Gozo is a historical mystical Island with dramatic scenery which is believed to have been the Isle of Calypso in Homer’s Odyssey.
The property is a short drive from the historical capital city of Victoria and rising above it, the Citadel, which is visible from almost all the island. The ancient fortified town has witnessed many historical moments yet has stood the test of time and is rich in history with the magnificent baroque Cathedral of Gozo, dungeons, battlements and museums to visit. Set on one of the most central hilltops on the island you will find amazing views in all directions.
Victoria has plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and is home to Gozo’s only shopping Mall. There is a daily bustling market. Don’t leave Victoria without sampling pastizzi, Malta’s best-loved snack!
Gozo is blessed with some beautiful sandy beaches, many still undeveloped, and is surrounded by some of the cleanest waters in the Mediterranean. Ramla Bay is the largest beach on the Island, Nestled amongst unspoilt countryside with a dramatic coastline, the long, wide beach has a reddish hue next to shallow clear waters and is a glorious place to swim, snorkel, play games or just laze in the sun.
Dwejra Bay is only a short drive away and is a magical place with its dramatic coastal formations and sea spilling over the rocks. It’s an enthralling experience to swim in the stunning deep sea of the bay, or in the foamy waters around the Blue Hole which is a world renowned diving site. Other attractions at the bay are Fungus Rock, a 60-metre-high rock feature!
Foodies will be happy as Gozo offers some of the best restaurants of the Maltese Islands. There are wonderful seafood restaurants in Xlendi Bay and Mgarr Harbour is the place to sample fine dining.
A delightful way to sample local cuisine and wines is to visit Ta’Mena in Xaghra. Ta’Mena produces DOK wines, virgin olive oil, sweet tomato paste, Jams, liqueurs and organises wonderful food tastings and tours of the vineyards.

Experience the diverse coastline, rich history and stunning landscapes of this beautiful island, often referred to as the quieter little sister of Malta. Gozo is reached by ferry from Cirkewwa, the northernmost point of Malta, or from Valletta’s port on a highspeed ferry service to Mgarr.
Although Gozo is a small island, there is so much to see and do whether you are seeking sunny beaches and snorkelling spots or hoping to learn about Gozo’s cultural heritage and rich history. The gastronomic scene will also excite you with a wealth of delicious local products. Try the traditional ftira usually baked in a wood-fired oven, served with Gozitan cheese or anchovies, possibly accompanied by a glass of wine produced from vines by the sea or craft beer inspired by the island.
Crystal-clear water will draw you to Gozo’s array of beaches from the wild yet popular Ramla Bay, so loved for its red-hued sand and natural surroundings, to the remote gorge at Wied il-Ghasri reached via a staircase cut into the cliffs. What’s more, the island attracts divers from across the world who come to experience some of Europe’s finest diving sites.
Outdoor adventurists will adore the range of cycling and biking trails, walking paths, horse-riding opportunities and watersports. Meanwhile, boat trips allow you to appreciate Gozo from a different point of view and visit yet more spectacular attractions including the little island of Comino and its Blue Lagoon.
Step back in time as you explore the fortified city, Cittadella, with its baroque cathedral and museums, before heading to the pre-historic Ġgantija Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. To soak up yet more culture, spend time in the historic village of Xewkija with its magnificent limestone church and iconic dome.

Kids love beaches and Gozo has some delightful sandy beaches to explore.
Only a short drive will take you to the bay of Mgarr ix-Xini which is small and charming and a delight for the little ones with a flock of ducks that paddle amongst swimmers to amuse them!
Ramla Bay is the largest beach located in the north of the island and is very popular with families and locals.
Less crowded is Honqod ir-Rummien in Qala which has a small sandy beach and crystal clear waters with good facilities and caves to explore.
The sister Islands of Malta and Comino are only a short boat ride away and offer all sorts of entertainment for the kids.
Hop on a ferry to Valletta in Malta, which has museums, artwork and historic buildings at every turn – The Valletta sightseeing Train is a fun way to explore all the major sights and departs from St. John’s Cathedral every 30 minutes. The beautiful Upper Barrakka Gardens offer plenty of space and fabulous views and are ideal for a picnic break.
The tiny island of Comino was once a hideout of pirates and smugglers but today is a haven for swimmers and lovers of water sports and well worth a visit. You can take the hourly ferry to Comino and The Blue Lagoon which has clear blue waters surrounded by awesome caves and is a truly spectacular sight and a wonderful place to bathe in bright turquoise waters.
To understand the magic of Gozo its worth taking the kids to Dwejra Bay home of ‘the Inland Sea ‘.For a few Euro’s you can take the kids on an exciting boat trip where you literally go through the cliff to the sea and then along the cliff to look at the various formations, make sure you stop off at the Dwerja kiosk, as it sells some of the best ice creams on the Island!
A delightful and unique way to explore the island is to take a chauffeured Tuk Tuk tour, seating up to 6 people you can take in some of Gozo’s most beautiful spots and find out all about the history of this amazing Island.
