Location
About the surrounding area of Penthouse Día PacíficoPenthouse día pacífico is located on the 5th floor and is located within the exclusive and extremely safe (gated and secured) Hacienda Beach Club and residences, which is set on an exclusive stretch of the magnificent Medano Beach, equipping its accommodations with some stunning views. Hacienda is an oasis of peace and tranquillity but just in case you are after some buzz and excitement - Cabo San Lucas is only a short walk away, offering a vast number of perfect spots for eating out, drinking and shopping.
Despite being almost in the centre of Cabo, Hacienda Beach Club and residences sprawls across an impressive 22 acre estate and offers an array of services and facilities for its guests. Relax at the beach club, by one of the two infinity swimming pools, taking in the view and lapping up the sunshine or head to the spacious gym to keep up your workout regime while on holiday. You can also attend yoga classes or visit the spa. Suddenly hungry ? You don’t need to go far, traditional Mexican food at the resort's finest Cocina y Cantina is awaiting the guests with an offer of a spectacular oceanfront view. You can sample fresh regional dishes and head for drinks later at the Palapa Bar later. You can book a large range of activities and Hacienda has fully-equipped beach activities centre for kayaking or paddleboarding.
The resort offers excellent views of the Land’s End and its El Arco in particular - due to its positioning as the most southern point in Baja California. Try to make it up there and you might come across some relaxing sea lions but if you’re thinking of swimming stick to the Cortes sea side as the Pacific side is known for some tricky currents.
Although most fishing and sailing charter companies are headquartered on the Marina, Medano Beach is the best place to find water-based activities such as wave runners to stand up paddle surfboards and parasailing tours, allowing adventurous types to experience incredible views of Land's End from hundreds of feet in the air. You can also go for motorised hang-gliding flyovers of all the local landmarks as well, not for the faint hearted! If you are into arts then make sure you come over in Jan/Feb to attend Todos Santos Art Festival, which offers it all, dance shows, poetry reading, painting exhibitions and a lot more.
Away from the resort, Cabo San Lucas, or Cabo, as it is more commonly known, is renowned for its white beaches, crystal blue waters and arching stone cliffs, making it the backdrop for Baja’s flourishing tourism industry. The activities to enjoy in this king of destinations are endless; jet skiing, banana boating, snorkeling and diving, kitesurfing, parasailing, and horseback riding can all be found simply by walking down the beach. The area is one of the best in the world for whale watching tours; the surrounding waters are a hotspot for breeding and are a migratory stop for humpback whales, so your chances of spotting one are incredibly high. The trips themselves are not for the faint hearted, the boats are small in order to ensure minimal disruption for the whales, so you will get wet! But it is an experience you will not want to miss if you are holidaying in Cabo.
The most famous beaches to visit in this area are Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach, with the former looking out into the bay and featuring beautifully calm waters that are perfect for swimming and trying out water sports. It is a good idea to get there early as it can get busy during the middle of the day. Divorce beach is situated on the other side of the island and although equally beautiful, has turbulent waves, making it popular with experienced surfers.
In Cabo you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink. There are a plethora of bars and restaurants that line the beach and offer guests a beautiful view of the sunset while they dine. Mangos On The Beach is one of the most popular places to eat, known for its party-atmosphere and crazy vibe, or Omega Sports Bar next door, popular for its outside seating areas with sandy floors and its colourful cocktails. Here the cheery staff will hand out blankets as the sun sets and the air gets cooler, so you can continue on long into the night.
