Playacar Beach House is a stunning contemporary villa accommodating up to eight guests across four luxurious king-size bedrooms. Situated in the exclusive gated community of Playacar on the Maya Riviera, this incredible oceanfront property offers guests the ultimate in comfort and relaxation, with soft white coral sand and the glittering turquoise of the Carribbean Ocean right on your doorstep, as well as your own private freshwater pool, outdoor grill and dining facilities, a gourmet kitchen, and private en-suite bathrooms.

The interior of Playacar Beach House is no less impressive or stylish. With plenty of clean, white decor, bright colourful splashes of azure blue and tangerine in the stunning Mexican artworks, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, meaning that you’ll never have to miss even one second of your incredible outside surroundings. The living area is spacious and open plan, incorporating the lounge, dining, and kitchen areas and featuring natural wooden flooring, chunky handcrafted furniture, plush cream sofas, and beautiful hints of turquoise, glass and silver, all of which bring a touch of the ocean beauty inside.

The kitchen area is stylish, modern and incredibly well-equipped. The bedrooms are equally spacious and stylishly decorated, with rich wooden flooring, crisp white linens on the king-size beds, and splashes of colour in the soft furnishings and artworks. Each of the bedrooms boasts en-suite facilities making it an ideal choice for couples holidaying together who wish to retain a certain amount of privacy!

The grounds of your private holiday villa features wide open spaces with sun loungers, tall coco palms, and of course your private pool with step surrounds, adding a touch of safety as well as being a beautiful design feature. From here you have incredible views of the beach and the ocean, which is just a few steps away, and outdoor lounge and dining areas offer guests the perfect place to enjoy alfresco meals in the sun, or tropical cocktails under the stars.

What you should know…

  • The home is located in a gated residential community and so may not be the ideal holiday home for someone who wants to be completely isolated or off the beaten track
  • Those travelling with young children should ensure they take care when in the pool as there is quite a drop down to the beach below
  • Please note that you will need to select 8 guests should you wish to have access to all 4 bedrooms. Those selecting fewer guests will only have access to a prorated number of bedrooms based on 2 guests per room.

Playacar Beach House is located in a gated community with a stretch of private beach and is situated in the coastal resort town of Playa Del Carmen along the Yucatan Peninsula’s Maya Riviera. The area is known for its palm-lined beaches and coral reefs, and guests here can enjoy a plethora of water sports including scuba diving, swimming, and kayaking to name but a few. The crystal clear waters and huge variety of colourful marine life, such as needlefish, rays, and turtles mean that snorkelling is a popular pastime here, and with the reefs being so close to the shore and the waters being so calm, it is an activity that all members of the family can enjoy.

The famous "Fifth Avenue" pedestrian thoroughfare runs parallel to the beach, and offers plenty of shopping opportunities for visitors, as well as restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, and nightspots ranging from laid-back beach bars to vibrant clubs. The town is conveniently located close to Cozumel, Tulum and Coba - all of which have something different to offer if you fancy travelling a little further afield to experience different beaches or tourist spots.

Playacar Beach House makes an excellent choice for families travelling with children. Being part of a gated community offers peace of mind when it comes to staying here as a family, as does the semi-private stretch of beach, meaning that the kids can play in safety while you relax without having to worry about crowds.

Parents may feel there is no need to venture further than Playacar Beach House, after all, you have a pool, a stretch of beach, however, for those who want to, there is plenty on offer for families in the town of Playa del Carmen itself, and the nearby areas. There are plenty of restaurants that cater to all age groups, and that offer a variety of cuisine - from Mexican and Italian, to American style food as well. There are plenty of ice-cream parlours and smoothie bars in the towns, as well as vendors offering a hot slice of pizza as you stroll along. Cycling is a popular way to get around in this part of Mexico, and you’ll find plenty of places where you can hire bikes that will be suitable for all age groups. From here you will be able to plan your own routes around the towns and more rural areas, or even book a tour with a guide and explore the jungle and beach areas, as well as visiting the ancient Mayan ruins nearby for a taste of history and culture.

For children who enjoy a more high-octane experience there are plenty of parks in the area offering something a little more adventurous, from zip-lining through the jungle canopy, to exploring underwater caves, swimming in cenotes, or even being able to swim with sea turtles and dolphins during some of the exclusive tourist experiences that are on offer.

Catering @ Playacar Beach House

A daily chef service for breakfast and lunch (9 am - 3 pm) is included in the rental prices for 6 days per 1 week reservation. Please note that groceries/beverages are not included in the price and will be charged for locally depending on menu and a 20% shopping fee. Guests can also benefit from a welcome dinner on arrival but please note there is an additional cost for an evening dinner service. Dinner services will incur a cost of $40 USD per person (minimum 4 guests) and grociers are not included in this a 20% shopping fee is applicable.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit A non-refundable damage insurance of £160 is to be paid at the time of booking. $1,000 USD is charged to client’s credit card before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights during Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Years, respectively. 4 nights during other periods.

Other Ts and Cs Please be aware that due to the location of the property, guests are asked to be mindful of their noise levels from 10 pm and not play any loud music. Failure to do so may result in a fine.

Villa Conditions:
- Please note that this property requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
- Bedrooms will be allocated dependent upon ‘Number of Guests’ at the time of Booking. Any unused Bedroom(s) may not be available to Guests.~
- Please be aware that, due to weather changes and fluctuating ocean currents, the Riviera Maya may experience the presence of naturally occurring seaweed during the summer months.
