Situated on the semi-private beach of Soliman Bay along the second largest coral reef in the world, is Casa Cara; one of the most luxurious villas in the Riviera Maya of Mexico. This stunning 10-bedroom property that comprises a main villa and two charming guest houses, accommodates up to 24 guests and features en-suite bathrooms, incredible 12ft ceilings throughout, as well as a rooftop lounge area and private swimming pool.
Guests won’t fail to be impressed by the beautiful terracotta exterior of this incredible beachfront property. The pool takes pride of place, and is surrounded by sun loungers shaded by exotic palms. There is a shaded outdoor dining area that features a marble table set under a beautiful pillared archway, as well as a luxurious outdoor lounge area; the perfect space for alfresco drinks and meals, all to be enjoyed whilst taking in the breathtaking ocean views, and there are outdoor showers so that when you’ve had a quick dip in the pool you can head back to the outdoor grill area, margarita in hand, to grab another quick bite.
Stepping inside Casa Cara you will be greeted by a grand open space featuring high ceilings and pillars, archways and stunning marble flooring. The decor is light and neutral, punctuated by brightly coloured artworks, plush cream armchairs and beautifully crafted furniture in dark wood. There is a gorgeous corner sofa in shades of dark peach and rich gold, as well as comfy bean bags to sink into in front of the widescreen TV, and quirky touches such as the glass topped rowing boat table and wall-mounted ship steering wheel and oars, which give the property an eclectic and vibrant beachy feel. The villa features a grand dining area and beautiful well-equipped kitchen, both of which feature lots of polished wood and marble for a glossy, contemporary look. There is a huge aga-style oven, as well as a toaster oven, microwave, food blender, coffee maker and dishwasher; not to mention plenty of space for food preparation and areas for storage.
The bedrooms at Casa Cara are all en-suite and feature king size beds in a dark wood, fresh white linens and bright colour pops of fresh turquoise, magenta and teal in the throws and artworks. The master suite boasts floor to ceiling glass doors that offer incredible beach views, and all the bedrooms feature a terrace or balcony, with an area to sit and enjoy the warm breezes and glittering turquoise ocean. The en-suite bathrooms boast plenty of cooling marble and luxurious, modern walk-in showers, the master bedroom’s en-suite benefits from a jacuzzi bath, and all the bathrooms feature contemporary fixtures and fittings including dark wood panels, framed mirrors, and ceiling fans, for a modern and stylish look.

Both houses are decorated in the same thoroughly modern style, with neutral decor and lots of rich dark wood accents and splashes of bright colour in the soft furnishings. Each guest house has a king size bed as well as a double sofa bed, and there are well-equipped kitchenettes, perfect for preparing a quick cuppa or light breakfast before joining the rest of the group by the pool.

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa CaraCasa Cara is located on the secluded and serene beach of Soliman Bay near Tulum, a virtual paradise of turquoise waters, powdery white sands, and shady palms. Because it is part of a semi-private gated community Soliman Bay beach is never crowded, making it an ideal holiday destination for families with children, and those who are looking forward to water sports, kayaking and snorkelling, as well as offering a slice of tranquil tropical getaway. The bay is situated in the heart of Riviera Maya, and just 15 minutes from Tulum - which is central to Akumal and Playa del Carmen. One of the most important sights in Tulum, and a must-see for visitors, are the Mayan ruins. Located on a cliff facing the Carribean Sea, this World Heritage site is the only archaeological site that sits on the seashore, and is one of the most photogenic in the country - worth knowing if Instagram is your thing!
Under the cliff you will find Paradise Beach, which is considered one of the best beaches in the Riviera Maya. From here you’ll be able to partake in excursions to the famous Mesoamerican Reef Barrier, and to The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, which measures half a million hectares and covers all possible scenarios, including beaches, coral reefs, rainforests, dunes and natural wells.
Beaches and natural wonders aside, Tulum is also known for its bohemian beach town feel thanks to its trendy bars and coffee shops and laid-back vibe. The streets teem with quirky souvenir shops and restaurants showcasing classic Mayan flavours, and delicious Mexican cuisine such as Tacos, quesadilla and seafood. The atmosphere is friendly, light, and unpretentious, with fruity cocktails, bottled Mexican beer, and music all flowing freely.
