Overview
Welcome to this exquisite 4-bedroom riad, nestled in the heart of Marrakech's Medina, in the sought-after area of Kasbah. A delightful blend of tradition and modernity, this riad offers an unforgettable experience that goes beyond ordinary stays.
The riad has been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated in 2023, creating a captivating atmosphere that immerses you in its chic and authentic world. During the day, the bright patio opens up to the blue Marrakchi sky, while at night, subtle lighting from wall niches creates an enchanting ambience reminiscent of tales from a thousand and one nights. Time seems to stand still as you bask in a deep sense of well-being, enveloped by carefully selected scents that linger in every room.
On the ground floor, a welcoming entrance hall with ample storage space leads you to a spacious patio, where a modern dining table awaits to accommodate eight guests. Adjacent to the patio is the main lounge, a comfortable hour, cooled by air conditioning and offering plush seating for up to eight people. A delightful surprise awaits behind an attractive glass door, revealing a secondary air-conditioned lounge with seating for six and a home cinema setup with a motorized screen. This versatile space can easily transform into a closed bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom and separate WC, catering to your unique preferences.
Venturing to the first floor, a passageway grants access to the riad's three other bedrooms, each offering an ensuite bathroom and separate WC for maximum comfort and privacy.
Moving upwards, the second floor unfolds a delightful surprise—a fully-equipped summer kitchen opening onto a picturesque terrace. This inviting space showcases a small bar area with two stools and a splendid dining table for eight, perfect for al fresco meals in the company of loved ones. The outdoor terrace beckons with three comfortable deckchairs, two parasols, and low tables, creating an oasis of relaxation and tranquillity. Here, a private, unheated Bali stone swimming pool (3m x 2m x 95 cm) invites you to take refreshing dips at your leisure. A charming relaxation area adorned with two pouffes and a coffee table complements the poolside experience.
What you should know…
- While the riad offers a private and inviting swimming pool, it's important to be cautious with young children or non-swimmers, as the pool is unheated and lacks lifeguard supervision. Parents should closely supervise their children around the pool area at all times
- The riad's multi-level layout may pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues or very young children. Care should be taken while using the stairs, and families with toddlers should consider bringing child safety gates to ensure their little ones' safety
- While the riad's location in the Medina offers a rich cultural experience, it also means the surrounding area can be lively and bustling, especially during peak times. Guests should be mindful of the local customs, busy streets, and potential noise levels while staying in this vibrant urban setting

Location
About the surrounding area of Riad KasbahMarrakech is a colourful city alive with smells, sounds and vibrant sights. In 1985, Marrakech’s Medina was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Colourful spices, glistening silver lamps with the promise of a genie, vibrant carpets and leather in every shade imaginable are combined with its rich, ancient architecture in a fabulous kaleidoscope of colour. Its souks are loud, thrilling and very exciting. You will discover snake charmers, storytellers and potion sellers. Dining in the Medina is an adventure which will set your tastebuds tingling. Smoke rises from barbecues which are enjoyed along with Gnawa musicians, acrobats and fortune tellers. The famous Patisserie des Princes is perfect for sweet treats and ice cream afterwards. Many of the riads boast exquisite restaurants for fine dining experiences where you will enjoy creative, spice-laced modern Moroccan menus. Hammams were introduced to the city by the Romans and adapted to fit Islamic ablution rituals. Visitors enjoy wonderful hammam experiences at Hammam de la Rose, the Farnatchi Spa, the deluxe Royal Mansour and many other spas.
The 16th-century Saadian Tombs give you an insight into the city’s history. Sultan al-Mansour spared no expense in decorating his opulent mausoleum with imported Italian Carrara marble and a gilded honeycomb muqarnas ceiling. The once magnificent Bali Palace is now a monumental ruin with giant reflecting pools and breathtaking views of the city. The stunning Bahia Palace is amazing and offers the mesmerising quarters of Bou Ahmed’s favourite concubine, Lalla Zineb.
As well as magnificent mosques and palaces, Marrakech enjoys a calm and beautiful cloak of green. The area around the city is sprinkled with magical gardens. Le Jardin Secret is one of Medina’s largest and most important gardens, with a Persian garden full of tufty grasses and olive, pomegranate, fig and date trees and a second smaller garden offering exotic plants. An elaborate irrigation system weaves its way through the gardens, part of an ancient network that once distributed water from artesian wells and fed by the mountains. When fashion icon Yves St Laurent arrived in the city in 1964, he was overwhelmed by the city and its vivacity. He lived in the Jardin Majorelle with his partner, a lush garden painted with an intense shade of ultramarine blue. It is sprinkled with giant cacti, palms and bamboo groves. The Berber Museum is filled with Yves St Laurent’s personal jewellery and fashion collection, and the Musee Yves St Laurent offers a stunning choreography presentation of the clothes in a dramatic black hall.
Visitors to Marrakech also enjoy experiencing the quiet cool of its surrounding mountain valleys. It is the perfect contrast to the thrillingly frantic energy of the Medina and the buzz of its museums, palaces and gardens. After a delicious Moroccan feast around Djemaa El Fna, you can trek up Northern Africa’s highest peak, Mount Toubkal or enjoy a surprising experience of North African skiing at Oukaimeden. The Atlas Mountains are sprinkled with pretty villages, beautiful waterfalls and dramatic viewpoints. Imlil is a popular hub to start exploring, and the Bureau des Guides d’Imlil can arrange guides. You will enjoy unforgettable day trips, visit traditional villages, taste delicious food, and enjoy the fabulous scenery and a mesmerising mix of Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences.
