The combined efforts of a superb Moroccan architect and a French interior designer have produced the wonderful, eco-friendly Villa Hammou. With the most wondrous views of the Atlas Mountains, this sublime single-storey property invites relaxation and rejuvenation. The villa boasts six sensational bedrooms, exquisite contemporary ensuite bathrooms, superb living spaces, one hectare of wonderful gardens, a fabulous infinity swimming pool, an astonishing roof terrace and some excellent staff that will look after you brilliantly during your stay.
Villa Hammou enjoys a wonderful blend of blush render and grey bricks to its exterior. It looks wonderful against the lush green garden and deep blue sky. Not only does the villa enjoy glorious gardens, but it also offers a fabulous roof terrace where you can relax on super cool Moroccan pouffes while mesmerised by the dramatic Atlas Mountains views. The main living space is divided into two spaces, a serene living area with a striking contemporary feature fire and a television area. At the end of a busy day hiking in the mountains, exploring the Ourika Valley or bartering in the souks, guests can snuggle up on lavish sofas to enjoy a movie or relax in the main area to plan the next day’s adventures. The dining room is just fabulous with a gorgeous wooden table, beautiful orange colour splashes and gorgeous mirrors and artwork. A wall of glass doors opens to the lush green garden and offers wonderful garden views. Throughout the house, you will find gorgeous, beautifully planted courtyard gardens, which you can admire while soaking your stresses away in the bath or relaxing in the living area.
The bedrooms all enjoy direct access to the terrace. They are beautifully presented with gorgeous colour pops, luxury linens, exquisite fabrics and contemporary ensuite bathrooms. They offer sumptuous double, kingsize or twin beds, beautifully dressed with throws and scatter cushions. Each bedroom offers a wall-mounted television and a lounge area. The bathrooms invite long, lazy, indulgent soaks while you are captivated by the lush greenery in the courtyard gardens.
Villa Hammou enjoys fabulous outside space. The gardens offer total privacy and seclusion. The swimming pool is amazing, and at 26m long, it invites lap swimming. The pool is surrounded by three terraces where you can relax on sun loungers, dine alfresco or enjoy pre-dinner drinks in a beautiful sunken lounge. This is shaded by a contemporary sail canopy and is a brilliant entertaining space for the whole group.
Please note that the kitchen is for staff usage only; guests are not allowed to cook or prepare any meal. Usage of the kitchen for nibbles (tea, coffee, sandwich, etc.) might be allowed prior to agreement with the owner/property manager.
What you should know…
- Your villa chef is available to prepare a wonderful Moroccan breakfast for you. You can decide to enjoy occasional dinners or opt for full catering for an extra supplement
- Pool heating and any other requested services will incur an extra fee
- The villa is single-storey. You only go up to get on the outstanding roof terrace
- Please bear in mind that during Ramadan, the traditional month of fasting and purification, some restaurants and cafes close during the day and general business hours are reduced

It is beautiful, modern and boasts wonderful gardens, a fantastic swimming pool and wonderful entertainment spaces. The pool and table tennis table go down a treat. It is handy having two living spaces as little ones can chill watching a movie while the adults plan their next adventures! The location of Villa Hammou is fabulous. Spectacular scenery, Berber villages and mountains are close by. There is easy access to the treats of Marrakech city centre.
The thrilling Oasiria Waterpark is within easy reach of the villa. It offers eight swimming pools, twenty thrilling attractions and seventeen slides. One of the attractions, Aquaroc, is the first climbing wall in Africa. It is 25m long by 5m high and offers three courses, initiation, improvement and training. The waterpark sits in ten hectares of landscaped gardens sprinkled with ponds, paths, flowerbeds, century-old olive trees, desert crossings, palms, wooden pontoons, streams and colourful flowers, and there are five restaurants. There is even a kids club for six to nine-year-olds and nine to twelve-year-olds with meals and snacks included. These are run by experienced leads which offer supervised swimming, treasure hunts, fairs, toboggan competitions, climbing on the Aquaroc, beach soccer, water games, tug of war, football and more. The wonderful Eden Aquapark is another popular family pick. It boasts endless rides, slides, swimming pools, a river, a beach for little pirates, entertainment and a luxurious hotel attached to it. It is a giant aquapark that offers a world of water entertainment.
Marrakech offers a long list of family entertainment, from cooking classes to mule rides and shopping experiences. The Amal Women’s Centre offers cooking classes for kids. Marrakech offers many gardens that are just lovely. Harti Jardin and Cyper Park are great for good walks. There are two small amusement parks for younger children, Ludipark and Paloozaland. Ludipark offers bouncy castles, pony rides, a mini zoo and an aquapark. Paloozaland offers a dinosaur theme and enjoys several rides, a 6D cinema, a swimming pool and live shows. There are always camels near the Menara Gardens which kids can ride. If you want more of a desert camel ride, you can take a taxi or arrange a ride through your riad to the Palmeraie. Another popular trip is to the Moulay Hassan racetrack on the edge of Marrakech for some kart racing. Moroccans make tea very well, so you can arrange a wonderful afternoon tea at the Royal Mansour. Kids also enjoy getting a henna tattoo or seeing a Fantasia Show. Chez Ali is a show that has been going for years and includes dinner as well as performances with horse riders and music. You will see horse carriages everywhere though you might want to check if the horses look well cared for.
Terres d’Amanar is a zipline park roughly forty-five minutes outside of Marrakech. There are activities for all ages, with a pool and lunch included. Children love heading for the Atlas Mountains and enjoying stops at the village of Imlil, where they can enjoy mule rides and see the waterfalls. The Ourika Valley is another fabulous trip where kids can play in the shallow Ouritka River and hike to the waterfalls.
The Anima Gardens are lovely, with lots of sculptures as well as natural fauna. You can buy a timed ticket which helps to ensure that the gardens are not too crowded. There are shuttles to and from the city.

Magnifique
Calme et vue magnifique, très bon aménagement de qualité et avec goût. Pratique et confortable avec beaucoup d’endroits pour être ensemble ou tranquille. Le jardin est magnifique et bien entretenu. Le plus indéniable de cette villa est la qualité d’accueil et la gentillesse et disponibilité de Ouafa, gouvernante et cuisinière traditionnelle qui connaît tout ce qu’il est nécessaire de savoir pour séjourner dans les environs de Marrakech.
Pas de possibilité d’ajouter des lits d’appoints pour réunir les enfants dans la même chambre. -
Wonderful stay
The service and the staff were wonderful - welcoming and very friendly. The food was lovely. The house and pool is gorgeous and very clean.
There were issues with the drains - but these were quickly addressed once pointed out by the staff. It is a bit of a drive from the property to reach the city and other activities.
