Overview
Boasting one of the most prestigious locations outside of Marrakech on the exclusive Royal Palm Marrakech Estate, Villa Khill is a capsule of contemporary cool. Sitting on a beautiful two hundred and twenty-two hectare natural landscape sprinkled with dreamy residences, each with its own private landscaped gardens, and all set around the world-class Royal Palm golf course, country club, five-star Fairmont Hotel and an organic farm, Villa Khill is a fabulous pick for guests wanting to escape the dazzling, exotic centre of Marrakech. The villa boasts six stunning bedroom suites, exquisite living spaces, a gym, hammam and massage room, an enormous garden, wonderful terraces and two private swimming pools.
With stunning views over the golf course and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, Royal Palm Marrakech offers this bespoke villa, perfect for relaxation and spending time with your loved ones. Guests enjoy access to the world-class golf course, the hotel and the resort’s other wonderful amenities. It is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the good life. You can play tennis or golf, swim in the hotel pool or pamper yourselves in its luxury spa. You can watch the glorious sunsets with an aperitif on the hotel terrace and enjoy quality fine dining at the restaurant. Unique for its olive grove setting, the resort also enjoys its own farm, kitchen gardens and nursery, which produce delicious organic fruit, vegetables and herbs all year round. It produces its own hand-pressed olive oil too. As an impressive eco-friendly resort, Royal Palm Marrakech has a strong commitment to sustainability. Marrakech’s Medina is just twelve kilometres away, with many attractions and riots of colour and sound within its city walls. Visitors enjoy dazzling sights and the passion of the Medina. Within its bustling souks and squares and its myriad of narrow alleyways, European, African and Middle Eastern influences mingle and charge the air with an intoxicating, captivating charm. Snake charmers, acrobats, countless musicians, freshly-dyed carpets, silver lamps, delicious smells and colourful stalls will catch your eye. Framed by its blush-coloured city walls, the city was constructed in the 12th century and is known as the ‘Red City’. The city enjoys extravagant palaces, interesting museums and beautiful gardens, including the gorgeous Menara gardens and the striking Jardin Majorelle, which was owned by Yves Saint Laurent until his death.
Villa Khil is made up of two independent villas, which are each four hundred and fifty square metres and enjoy three ensuite bedrooms. They sit on a giant plot of nearly five and a half square metres of landscaped gardens which are very close to the resort spa, gym, tennis courts and golf course. Inside the villa’s contemporary, straight-lined exterior, you will discover wonderful living spaces, top-notch bathrooms and fantastic sleeping spaces. There is an excellent television living room in tasteful shades of brown, cream and beige with sumptuous modern sofas and chairs, which is open plan with the dining area. This enjoys giant contemporary artwork and a stylish dining table and chairs, all of which enjoy fabulous garden views. In the second villa, there is another living space, more mellow in its colour palette but also with seriously comfortable furniture, a giant wall-mounted television, a feature fireplace and some more modern art. Fully equipped kitchens are adjacent to the living rooms, and large sliding glass doors open to the terraces and gardens. The villas are all on one level, so each of the bedrooms enjoys direct access to the gardens too. All six are sumptuous rooms with beautifully dressed double beds, televisions and ensuite bathrooms which invite long lazy lie-ins. All but one of the bathrooms offer baths and showers, while the last just enjoys a walk-in shower. These are bathrooms to spend time in, soak away your stresses and enjoy the views in some cases.
Outside, you can count your blessings, dine alfresco, enjoy glasses of your favourite tipple, bask in the sunshine and take a dip in the pools. You can also enjoy your hammam, fitness room and request a massage in your massage room. There is a table football game for some friendly competition, a petanque area and a table tennis table.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa KhilThe wonderful Villa Khil enjoys a prestigious location on the beautiful Royal Palm Marrakech Estate, just twelve kilometres from Marrakech’s Jamaa el Fna Square. Golf fans will be in heaven playing on this exclusive landscaped course.
Marrakech is a dazzling, colourful city that will awaken all of your senses. In 1985, Marrakech’s Medina was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Colourful spices, glistening silver lamps with the promise of a genie, vibrant carpets and leather in every shade imaginable are combined with its rich, ancient architecture in a fabulous kaleidoscope of colour. Its souks are loud, thrilling and very exciting. You will discover snake charmers, storytellers and potion sellers. Dining in the Medina is an adventure which will set your tastebuds tingling. Smoke rises from barbecues which are enjoyed along with Gnawa musicians, acrobats and fortune tellers. The famous Patisserie des Princes is perfect for sweet treats and ice cream afterwards. Many of the riads boast exquisite restaurants for fine dining experiences where you will enjoy creative, spice-laced modern Moroccan menus. Hammams were introduced to the city by the Romans and adapted to fit Islamic ablution rituals. Visitors enjoy wonderful hammam experiences at Hammam de la Rose, the Farnatchi Spa, the deluxe Royal Mansour and many other spas.
There are some wonderful museums, including the Musee Tiskiwin, where you can learn about the history of Marrakech and the region in general. The Dar Si Said Museum is an exhibition of historic and contemporary Moroccan art, full of intricate Byzantine designs and colours. The Music Museum is located in the Saadian quarter, built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The reception of the museum is a jewel of Arab-Andalusian architecture.
Also giving you an insight into the city’s history are the magnificent 16th-century Saadian Tombs. Sultan al-Mansour spared no expense in decorating his opulent mausoleum with imported Italian Carrara marble and a gilded honeycomb muqarnas ceiling. The once magnificent Bali Palace is now a monumental ruin with giant reflecting pools and breathtaking views of the city. The stunning Bahia Palace is amazing and offers the mesmerising quarters of Bou Ahmed’s favourite concubine, Lalla Zineb.
The area around the city is sprinkled with magical gardens. Le Jardin Secret is one of Medina’s largest and most important gardens, with a Persian garden full of tufty grasses and olive, pomegranate, fig and date trees and a second smaller garden offering exotic plants. An elaborate irrigation system weaves its way through the gardens, part of an ancient network that once distributed water from artesian wells and fed by the mountains. When fashion icon Yves St Laurent arrived in the city in 1964, he was overwhelmed by the city and its vivacity. He lived in the Jardin Majorelle with his partner, a lush garden painted with an intense shade of ultramarine blue. It is sprinkled with giant cacti, palms and bamboo groves. The Berber Museum is filled with Yves St Laurent’s personal jewellery and fashion collection, and the Musee Yves St Laurent offers a stunning choreography presentation of the clothes in a dramatic black hall.
Visitors to Marrakech also enjoy experiencing the quiet cool of its surrounding mountain valleys. It is the perfect contrast to the thrillingly frantic energy of the Medina and the buzz of its museums, palaces and gardens. After a delicious Moroccan feast around Djemaa El Fna, you can trek up Northern Africa’s highest peak, Mount Toubkal or enjoy a surprising experience of North African skiing at Oukaimeden. The Atlas Mountains are sprinkled with pretty villages, beautiful waterfalls and dramatic viewpoints. Imlil is a popular hub to start exploring, and the Bureau des Guides d’Imlil can arrange guides. You will enjoy unforgettable day trips, visit traditional villages, taste delicious food, and enjoy the fabulous scenery and a mesmerising mix of Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences.

Best Suited For: All AgesFamilies very quickly fall in love with Villa Khil and the amazing Royal Palm Marrakech Estate. The villa enjoys some wonderful extras, including two pools, table football and table tennis. There is lots of space, and the gardens are beautiful. Older teens love the villa gym to keep up their fitness levels. The resort offers incredible amenities.
Children will be delighted to know that the villa is located near the amazing Oasiria Waterpark, which offers eight swimming pools, twenty thrilling attractions and seventeen slides. One of the attractions, Aquaroc, is the first climbing wall in Africa. It is 25m long by 5m high and offers three courses, initiation, improvement and training. The waterpark sits in ten hectares of landscaped gardens sprinkled with ponds, paths, flowerbeds, century-old olive trees, desert crossings, palms, wooden pontoons, streams and colourful flowers, and there are five restaurants. There is even a kids club for six to nine-year-olds and nine to twelve-year-olds with meals and snacks included. These are run by experienced leads which offer supervised swimming, treasure hunts, fairs, toboggan competitions, climbing on the Aquaroc, beach soccer, water games, tug of war, football and more. The wonderful Eden Aquapark is another popular family pick. It boasts endless rides, slides, swimming pools, a river, a beach for little pirates, entertainment and a luxurious hotel attached to it. It is a giant aquapark that offers a world of water entertainment.
Marrakech promises fascinating delights around every corner, from cooking classes to mule rides and shopping experiences. The Amal Women’s Centre offers cooking classes for kids. Marrakech offers many gardens that are just lovely. Harti Jardin and Cyper Park are great for good walks. There are two small amusement parks for younger children, Ludipark and Paloozaland. Ludipark offers bouncy castles, pony rides, a mini zoo and an aquapark. Paloozaland offers a dinosaur theme and enjoys several rides, a 6D cinema, a swimming pool and live shows. There are always camels near the Menara Gardens which kids can ride. If you want more of a desert camel ride, you can take a taxi or arrange a ride through your riad to the Palmeraie. Another popular trip is to the Moulay Hassan racetrack on the edge of Marrakech for some kart racing. Moroccans make tea very well, so you can arrange a wonderful afternoon tea at the Royal Mansour. Kids also enjoy getting a henna tattoo or seeing a Fantasia Show. Chez Ali is a show that has been going for years and includes dinner as well as performances with horse riders and music. You will see horse carriages everywhere though you might want to check if the horses look well cared for.
Terres d’Amanar is a zipline park roughly forty-five minutes outside of Marrakech. There are activities for all ages, with a pool and lunch included. Children love heading for the Atlas Mountains and enjoying stops at the village of Imlil, where they can enjoy mule rides and see the waterfalls. The Ourika Valley is another fabulous trip where kids can play in the shallow Ouritka River and hike to the waterfalls.
The Anima Gardens are lovely, with lots of sculptures as well as natural fauna. You can buy a timed ticket which helps to ensure that the gardens are not too crowded. There are shuttles to and from the city.
