Overview

Pool Villa/House Modern Wellness Ideal for Kids All Bedrooms En-Suite Parking Space

Villa Ziram enjoys sweeping views over the championship Al Maaden golf course, yet it is only a fifteen minute drive from the centre of Marrakech. This very stylish villa with four private pool offers superior accommodation for up to eight guests.

This sophisticated villa has an extremely privileged position on the very edge of the fabulous championship course designed by Kyle Phillips, he has married Moroccan influence and terrain with that of the links course he designed at Kingsbarns in Scotland which propelled him onto the world stage.

You enter the villa into a massive open plan living space with three very separate functions, in the centre is the ultra sophisticated main lounge adorned with African art pieces, plush carpets and  sumptuous sofas set around room length glass doors overlooking the outside terrace,  swimming pool and the golf course, to the left is the formal indoor dining area designed so that everyone at the table can enjoy views to the garden, and to the right a snug with less formal seating around a real fire for these evenings when you just want to curl up and watch tv.
Here on the ground floor, you also have the fully fitted kitchen and the first of the king size bedrooms, this one having direct access to the garden.  These are amazingly large, almost suite size with rich Moroccan influences to be seen in the decoration of the bathrooms, crisp linen and soft furnishings, the upstairs rooms have access to their own private terrace and astounding views over the golf course.

The covered terrace furnishings are just as elegant as those inside, the natural coloured sofas with turquoise scatter cushions pick up the colour radiating from the heated swimming pool below.  You are almost guaranteed a stunning sunset from here every evening of the year, with nothing getting in the way of the 360° view of the golf course could you ask for a more perfect setting?

The large poolside terrace with outdoor dining facilities is also furnished with fantastic rocking loungers on which to dry off after a swim or just to lie back and enjoy the perfectly manicured lawns read a book and relax.

Marrakech, a mesmerizing city nestled in the heart of Morocco, exudes an irresistible blend of history, culture, and vibrant energy. With its labyrinthine medina, bustling souks, and enchanting architecture, Marrakech stands as a captivating gateway to North African allure.

The city's beating heart lies within the historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where narrow alleyways wind their way through an intricate tapestry of palaces, riads, and mosques. The medina's pièce de résistance is the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa square, a bustling hub of activity where snake charmers, storytellers, and exotic stalls coalesce in a sensory symphony. As the sun sets, the square transforms into a lively carnival of lights, aromas, and music, casting an enchanting spell on both locals and visitors alike.

Marrakech's architectural splendour is magnificently showcased in its palaces and gardens. The Bahia Palace, adorned with ornate stucco and intricate mosaics, whispers tales of the opulent lives led by its former inhabitants. The Saadian Tombs, hidden for centuries, unveil a serene necropolis adorned with delicate carvings and tranquil courtyards.

The city's soul lies within its souks, a labyrinth of markets that unveil an endless array of treasures – from hand-woven textiles and traditional leather goods to fragrant spices and gleaming lanterns. Bargaining is an art form here, and engaging with the local vendors is a delightful way to immerse oneself in the rhythm of Marrakech.

For moments of reprieve, the Majorelle Garden offers a serene oasis. This vibrant sanctuary, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, is a haven of cobalt blue buildings, exotic flora, and tranquil pools – a testament to Marrakech's fusion of creativity and natural beauty.

Marrakech's allure extends beyond its historic core. Glimpses of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop, and nearby oases and palm groves beckon for exploration. Whether savouring a traditional tagine dish, wandering the serene Menara Gardens, or admiring the architectural grandeur of the Koutoubia Mosque, the city's cultural richness and kaleidoscope of experiences never cease to captivate.

Intriguing, vibrant, and steeped in tradition, Marrakech offers a remarkable journey into the heart of Morocco's mystique. With each step through its bustling streets and hidden alleys, the city weaves an unforgettable tapestry of memories long after departure.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

It may not be an obvious family holiday destination, but the magical city of Marrakech will capture the imagination of children of any age, it's a completely different world with almost guaranteed sunshine, great food and so many places waiting to be explored.

Children will love the buzzing centre of Marrakech, at its heart lies the Djemaa El Fna which has provided a focal point in the city since its founding in the 11th century, part market, part travelling fair, a dazzling array of entertainers congregate here every day, jugglers, mime-artists, musicians, fortune-tellers, snake charmers and boxers all ply their trade whilst vendors supply the crowd with freshly squeezed orange juice and all sorts of food. The best time to be here is dusk. The hypnotic beat of the Gnaoua drummers induces an almost trance-like state, as you wander round the crowds grow bigger and bigger. Wandering through the food stalls, boiled sheep heads loom out of steamy clouds, backlit by roaring braziers. To really appreciate the spectacle, take a seat on one of the rooftop terraces of surrounding cafés to watch the circles of people form and dissolve in response to the performances around them.

One of the nicest things about the Djemaa El Fna is the lack of tourist intrusion, the vast majority of the goings-on are for Moroccans, not visitors, and all the performances, recitals, plays and transactions are conducted in Moroccan Arabic.

Taking a day out on a guided trip will ensure you get the very best experience, why not take a guided day trip to the Atlas Mountains.   Enjoy being driven through traditional villages and orchard-filled valleys framed by rugged peaks, then perhaps stop for a camel ride before venturing deep into the Imlil Valley. Break for Moroccan tea and cake on a scenic terrace and chat to your guide about Ait Souka Village your next stop.  At this point you can choose how you get there whether it be on foot, by mini bus, or there is even the chance to ride a mule.  Here, enjoy a traditional Berber lunch, including tajine (slow-cooked stew), and visit a Berber family home to learn about their lifestyle, continuing on to Moulay Brahim near the Asni Valley, and absorb the views of Mt. Toukbal before returning to Marrakech.
