Summer Games 2024

In 2024, Paris will be the host of the most famous sporting event in the world! Held every 4 years, it is the turn of the City of Love to welcome the world’s finest sporting talent to compete in 2.5 weeks of awe-inspiring competition.

Paris and its surrounding regions will serve as the primary venues for the Games. Iconic venues such as the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées, the Palace of Versailles, and the Seine River will feature prominently.

In preparation for the games, Paris has undergone a massive transformation. New state-of-the-art sports venues have been constructed and the iconic Stade de France has received a €40 million makeover leaving a lasting legacy for the city. The transformation extends beyond sports, with urban regeneration projects, showcasing Paris as a forward-thinking, eco-conscious and vibrant metropolis, ready to host a global celebration in 2024.

As well as the sporting competitions, the Summer Games will likely feature a rich cultural program, showcasing France's art and heritage. These events will provide an opportunity for visitors to experience the rich and storied cultural side of Paris too.

  • The XXXIII (33rd) Games will take place from 26 July - 11 August 2024.
  • The Paris 2024 Games mark the 100th anniversary of the last time Paris hosted the summer sporting event in 1924.
  • Several new sports have been added to the games programme for Paris 2024, including skateboarding, surfing, sport climbing, and breakdancing!
  • Around 10 million tickets will be sold for the events across the country.

The capital will be the hub of the games with the world-renowned Stade de France at the centre of celebrations and a host of other venues across the city. Catch the judo and beach volleyball at the foot of the Eiffel Tower! Magnifique!

Marseille Marina & Stade Véledrome

Head to the Med for all the sailing competitions in France's maritime metropolis and catch the football at Marseille's illustrious Stade Vélodrome.

Stade de Bordeaux

OL Stadium

Centre National de Tir (National Shooting Centre)
