About the surrounding area of Casa TorgaCasa Torga has a great location for holidaymakers who appreciate the peace and quiet of a private villa while also enjoying the fun of being close to town.
While Casa Torga sits on a quiet residential estate it’s also just a short walk away from the heart of Vale Centeanes, where you’ll be able to visit local shops, bars and restaurants as well as the beach. You’re also just 5 minutes away from the popular Vale de Milho Golf, a beautiful nine-hole course overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Getting around on foot from Casa Torga is possible, but we do recommend renting a car during your stay as the area can become quite steep in places and may not always be suitable for guests.
There are several lovely beaches nearby, particularly Praia do Vale de Centeanes and Praia de Benagil, both of which are easily accessible and just a five-minute drive away from the villa. The historic city of Portimao is also just a stone’s throw away, being a 20-minute drive from Casa Torga.
To start your holiday, Casa Torga is well-served by local and national road links, making it an easy addition to a wider holiday around Portugal or as a stand-alone visit. If you’re heading to Casa Torga straight from the airport, Faro is only a 45-minute drive away.

THE REGION
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

Best Suited For: All AgesCasa Torga is a popular choice for families looking for a private villa on the Algarve. WIth large private grounds, lots of on-site facilities and a true homely feel, families love Casa Torga.
With spacious grounds and gardens to play in, kids benefit from having an entire home to themselves where they can run around and play as they would at home. Kids especially love having their own private swimming pool in their garden.
When travelling with friends and siblings, the private bedroom with two single beds let kids turn their holiday into an extended sleepover which they always enjoy.
Casa Torga also features high-speed Wi-Fi throughout which kids can use to connect their devices to the internet to keep up with their shows, games and friends and family back home.
If your kids are beach lovers, Casa Torga is a great choice as both Praia do Vale de Centeanes 3 and Praia de Benagil 5 are easily accessible from the villa. Both beaches benefit from clean golden sands and waters as well as having shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to make a day of visiting the beach.
In the wider area, getting out and about with kids couldn’t be easier as there are several great attractions and day trips you can participate on. Just 20 minutes away in Portimao, families can depart from the bustling marina on a number of sea-based day trips including visits to stunning coastal caves or watching dolphins play in the water.
Back on land, you can also take kidsto Slide & Splash, a popular water park that’s just a 10-minute drive from Casa Torga. Kids of all ages love visiting Slide & Splash as it offers a great selection of swimming pools and water slides for all ages and abilities.
