Situated in the Encosta do Lago area of near the Quinta do Lago Resort, the villa is just 20 minutes from Faro airport. The gorgeous golf courses, set amongst fragrant pine trees and dazzling lakes, are perfect for golf fans. The beautiful 18 hole, Par 72, San Lorenzo Golf Course is very close to the villa.
Quinta Shopping and Bougainvillea Plaza offer gourmet restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques and a supermarket. The villa is just 750m walking distance from the resort lake where you can partake in a range of watersports or dine in the fabulous lakeside restaurants. Guests staying in this exclusive villa also have use of the nearby Encosta do Lago facilities with communal pool, tennis courts, gym, sauna, spa and restaurant.
The glorious, modern living room is bathed in natural light from the four sets of patio doors that open out to the covered terrace, pool and garden. The deluxe sofas are so comfortable. There are so many there are two lounge areas, one by the fabulous fireplace and the other by the huge television. A stunning dining room leads off the living room with elegant furniture for ten guests. The modern, sparkling kitchen is next to the dining room with a sleek design and large American style appliances. There is a laundry utility room in the basement.
Three astounding bedrooms are on the ground floor, two twins and one king size. They all have fabulous ensuite bathrooms and doors to the garden and terrace. How lovely to wake to such lovely views!
The master bedroom with king-size bed and beautiful ensuite bathroom has full-length windows opening to a private terrace with splendid views, not only of the pool and garden but also of the resort from its elevated position. The final bedroom is a twin room, again with a stunning ensuite and balcony.
The pool is so special with heating if required at a supplement. It is surrounded by paving, a beautifully landscaped garden, quality sun loungers and comfortable, upmarket seating. The covered terrace has a large dining suite perfect for alfresco dining and a huge gas barbecue.
This really is a stunning villa on a gorgeous resort. It has underfloor heating throughout when required.
What you should know…
- The seawater on the Algarve is never very warm. If you have children wanting to learn some watersports, you could head to the calm saltwater lake at Quinta do Lago
- We recommend hiring a car for this location so that you can explore the wonderful countryside as well as the terrific beaches
- Don’t forget to research the many golf courses!

About the surrounding area of Villa OrmasaNearby, Vilamoura is so glitzy and glamorous. The marina is so captivating, full of luxury yachts and edged by chic, gastronomic restaurants, bars and cafes. It buzzes with such a happy vibe. Vilamoura Casino offers dining and live entertainment as well as poker games. There are many shopping opportunities in Vilamoura with a big presence from famous brands. Either side of the marina are the breathtaking sands of Vilamoura Beach and the stunning Falesia Beach which stretches for miles to Olhos de Aqua.
As well as large towns full of amazing attractions, the small villages are worth exploring. The blue and white hand-painted azulejos in the interior of the Igreja de Sao Lourenco church are gorgeous, as is the ornate gold alter. The church is a national treasure and one of the most beautiful churches in the Algarve.
The traditional Portuguese market town of Loule is so atmospheric. It is incredibly authentic with a buzzy, friendly atmosphere. The Arabic inspired covered market is full of regional handicraft stalls, local produce and freshly caught fish. Loule’s tree-lined plazas and a warren of alleyways have barely altered since the medieval times. Must visits are the ancient castle and Gothic Igreja Matriz church. At Quinta da Tor at Loule, you can take a tasting of authentic Algarvian wines. They will give you delicious olive oil and bread with the wines. You can even enjoy a glass of wine by the wonderful infinity pool and be dazzled by the view of the vineyards. It is such a hidden gem off the beaten track. You can buy the wine from just Euro5 a bottle.
The Ria Formosa Reserve offers a range of landscapes and is absolutely stunning. It has wonderful birdlife. Boat and kayak tours are available, and the stunning islands are definitely worth a visit by ferry or boat.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Ormasa is wonderful for children. This luxury villa has so much space. There is a separate lounge area by the television if they are tired. The pool and garden area is fabulous. Very close by are the resort facilities with the community pool and other entertainment.
Artur’s Watersports Academy is a fantastic water centre at the calm, saltwater lake in the Quinta do Lago resort. It has a great atmosphere for families and excellent facilities. There are seasonal children's programmes, surf camps, kids clubs, sailing lessons, pedalos, kayaks, a water obstacle course and much more. Motor water sports are available at the beach close by. Algarve Xcite Watersports operate from Vilamoura Marina and offer parasailing, dolphin tours, fishing trips and jet ski adventures. The list of entertainment is endless.
Aquashow Park at Quarteira is amazing with the biggest water coaster in Europe. There are many water-based attractions as well as rollercoasters and shows. Aqualand and Slide and Splash are two other fantastic water parks further down the coast. If you are more interested in marine life, then you should head to Zoomarine. It is a theme park combining rich marine biodiversity with fun rides, dolphin and seal shows and even swimming with dolphins.
There are many companies that hire out bikes, including Bike a Wish. You can even get electric bikes if you don’t want to put in too much effort. It is a great way of exploring the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
There are many mini-golf courses around Quinta do Lago. Family Golf Park has two courses as well as games such as pool and air hockey. You can walk there while in Vilamoura or take the town train, which is also good fun.
