THE REGION
A coastal town just 20 miles west of Lisbon, Cascais was once a small fishing village, but its idyllic scenery attracted the attention of artists, writers and expelled European nobility in the 20th century. Today, it still attracts high society, but all society comes into force to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and adventure options like sailing and surfing.
Cascais also sits just west of Lisbon and right on the edge of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, meaning there are ample opportunities for exciting day trips. When you’re not off an excursion up the coast, you’ll find Cascais has plenty of its own allures. Fabulous
Our group of 12 just returned home from our stay at Cascais Deluxe. Our host Frederic was extremely helpful and very responsive in working out all the details of our time in Cascais. The villa is absolutely beautiful! The grounds and view are stunning and serene. Morning breakfast service provided by Chef Obispo and his family clearly was the best way to start each day. Our welcome dinner was fabulous and so perfect after a long day of travel. Our cooking lesson featuring Paella was truly a once in a lifetime meal. The other star of the villa staff is Susana. The villa was impeccable maintained and nothing we requested was too much trouble. Kind, sweet, efficient and extremely hard working are all words that come to mind. We will never forget our experience there.
