Casa Vieito is a striking three-storey modern villa nestled in the village of Perre, near the North West coast of Portugal. Built-in 2009, this sleek slate and steel grey architect-designed property has four spacious bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, ideal for a family holiday or a friend’s get-together.

This impressive villa sits on 900 square meters of carefully landscaped grounds, Casa Vieito, with a centrepiece private swimming pool surrounded by manicured lawns, sun loungers, and a terrace with outdoor seating. A traditional built-in barbeque sets the stage for delightful alfresco dining under the Portuguese sun.

The ground floor has an open-plan living space with chic contemporary furnishings, including an L-shaped sofa, armchair, and coffee table. A cable TV, radio, and hi-fi system provide entertainment, while an enclosed wood-burning fireplace adds warmth for those cooler months and evenings. There is a six-seater dining set, perfect for indoor entertaining. The ultra-modern kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances that you will need to cater for your holiday, including a breakfast bar and seating and that must-have morning coffee maker. A guest cloakroom and a fitness room with gym equipment complete the ground floor.

Take the open staircase to the first and second floors, where you will find four well-appointed spacious bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a large double bed, a dressing room, and an ensuite shower room with WC, with access to a balcony offering panoramic mountain views. Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4 are each furnished with 160x190cm beds, with access to countryside view balconies. There is a swish shared bathroom with a walk-in shower, double vanity unit, bidet, and WC.

The house is five hundred metres from the village, where you can purchase all of your holiday provisions.

The nearby Praia do Cabedelo and Praia da Amorosa beaches are both within a short 10km drive, with soft golden sand and the Atlantic Ocean, which is perfect for some adrenalin-inducing water sports. For those who prefer dry land, there is a tennis court and horse-riding stables nearby, whilst golf enthusiasts can tee off at the Ponte de Lima Golf Course, about 30km away.

A 7km drive will get you to the picturesque town of Viana do Castelo, with its blend of historic charm and modern amenities. You and your family can have a lot of fun when you holiday in Casa Vieito, in the heart of the Portuguese countryside. The villa has its own private pool where they can swim and splash all day and lawned gardens where they can safely play. Step outside the grounds and discover the local flora and fauna with a walk in the countryside.

The nearest golden sandy beaches are a nine-kilometre drive away. Enjoy making sandcastles on the family-friendly Praia de Arife, Esposende, and Carreco beaches. Your older kids will thrill trying to learn to paddle board, kite surf, and water ski on the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The resort town of Viano do Castelo is just seven kilometres to the coast; wander around the historic town, visit the Costume, Sea, and Gil Eannes Ship museums, and eat ice cream in Republic Square. Take the funicular railway to the top of the town, where there is the Santa Luzia Sanctuary and great views over the city and the sea.

Keep them active with games of tennis, horse-riding, and hikes, and in the evening, see your favourite family films at the local cinema.
