Overview
Surrounded by lush countryside and with views out to the sea and Minho River from its elevated position, Moradia Moledo is a comfortable, family-friendly villa from which to explore nearby beaches on the Costa Verde.
Styled with natural tones and materials throughout, this holiday home gives the feel of the outside come inside. The living space has floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors, making full advantage of the villa's prime location for stunning views.
On the ground floor is a light and spacious living/dining area with a comfortable sofa and armchair, television and wood burning stove. There's also a DVD player with a selection of DVDs to choose from when the family settle down for film night. Also in this space is a dining table and chairs for six people, making the living area a sociable space to enjoy meals. Doors open onto an exterior covered terrace with further seating and dining options, which in turn leads to the outside space. The modern kitchen has everything you need for cooking meals as you enjoy the views out over the garden and beyond. A toilet on this floor is ideal for those trips between the outside and inside spaces.
To the first floor is a master double bedroom with ensuite shower room and two twin bedrooms that have use of a well-appointed shower room. All bedrooms are light and well-furnished with plenty of storage space. For individual character, each room has a selection of quirky toys and sea-related items that help create an atmosphere that reflects the villa's proximity to the sea and river.
The walled, mature garden features lawned areas and a private swimming pool with decking and several bean bags for soaking up the views in comfort. You'll also find several shaded areas where you can enjoy simply reading a book or listening to music under one of the well-established trees.

Location
About the surrounding area of Moradia MoledoThe villa is within walking distance of basic amenities but you'll want to head out in the car for a larger choice of shops and restaurants in nearby towns. Being both in the countryside and close to the sea, you have an interesting choice of places to visit on days out.
Caminha is a small port town and is around 4 km from the villa. The main square is home to numerous 15th and 16th century buildings and structures, including an elaborate fountain at its heart. After you've taken in the sights, take the weight off your feet at one of the square's terrace cafes or restaurants and enjoy some local wine or a traditional seafood meal.
There are several beautiful beaches within easy reach of Caminha, including Praia de Moledo and Foz do Minho. At either beach you can take a short boat ride out to the Ínsua Fortress that's situated on a small rocky island just off the coast. Its origins are as a 15th century-convent, but during later centuries it was transformed into a defence post for protecting the local area from invasions by sea.
These beaches are great for a range of activities, whether it's the sea or river you prefer. Calm estuary waters are best for kayaking and canoeing, with windsurfing and regular surfing being particularly good on the ocean due to the strong winds and waves. The pine forests are lovely to walk through and allow you to see the more rugged side of the area.

ABOUT MINHO
The areas of Minho extend from the Spanish border in the north, south to Porto and east to the mountains of Vila Real. It is a green and fertile area of rolling hills encompassing the great rivers Minho, Lima and Douro, and the National Park of Peneda Geres. The countryside of the region is typified by long, sandy beaches bordered by pine woods, picturesque villages nestling among vine-covered hills, and historic towns such as Amarante, Guimaraes, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, and Viana do Castelo.
The area encompasses a range of postcard-worthy landscapes and features that could almost be Portugal in microcosm: dreamy river scenes, high mountains, rolling vineyards, beautiful historic towns, dramatic Atlantic beaches, ancient religious foundations and mysterious archaeological sites.
Then there's the bold, sharp and fruity Vinho Verde to consider. This young wine is fashioned from the fruit of kilometres of vineyards that wind along rivers, over foothills and into Minho mountain villages.
But while you're enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Minho, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we've put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!

Here you will find Parque de Lazer de Castelinho, an expansive riverside park with plenty to offer children of all ages. The highlights include a large water play area, climbing wall and a museum-aquarium exhibiting fish that you might typically expect to find in the waters of this area.
