Nestled in the serene hills of Paço da Glória, Mystic Stone Villa is a stunning retreat that blends traditional stone architecture with modern comforts. With nine elegant bedrooms, this spacious estate is perfect for families, friends, or intimate gatherings, offering breathtaking views of the Minho region and a tranquil setting to unwind.
Dating back to the 13th century, Paço da Glória’s origins are traced to a defensive tower built by Martinho Fernandes Vilarinho. Rebuilt in the 18th century, the estate has hosted historical figures, including Lord Peter Pitt Millward, a British aristocrat who enriched the interiors with artwork and sculptures from French museums like the Louvre. Now a classified Monument of Public Interest, it has been restored for exclusive retreats, events, and cultural experiences.
The estate features the Mystic Stone Villa building, comprising two private studio apartments and a main house with seven suites. A three-level tower houses a living room, dining room, and a fully equipped 40m² kitchen, ideal for preparing meals with fresh farm ingredients.
All rooms include luxury linens, bath amenities, individually controlled air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax by the cosy fireplace and Smart TV or explore the lush gardens. As a family-friendly accommodation, Mystic Stone Villa provides cots, high chairs, and child-friendly tableware. To encourage outdoor adventures, guests have access to raincoats and wellies to explore the beautiful surroundings.

The areas of Minho extend from the Spanish border in the north, south to Porto and east to the mountains of Vila Real. It is a green and fertile area of rolling hills encompassing the great rivers Minho, Lima and Douro, and the National Park of Peneda Geres. The countryside of the region is typified by long, sandy beaches bordered by pine woods, picturesque villages nestling among vine-covered hills, and historic towns such as Amarante, Guimaraes, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, and Viana do Castelo.
