Chalet Amelie is a luxurious and modern chalet located in the heart of Courchevel, one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the world. Set on the slope of a nature reserve, this chalet boasts a stunning blend of traditional Savoie contemporary and modern elegance in its design.
Spread across four spacious floors, Chalet Amelie features five delightful bedrooms capable of sleeping up to eleven guests. Its central living space is impressive, with an open-plan living room and dining area, complete with a cosy fireplace and comfortable seating. Large windows surround the space to provide plenty of natural light, while a spacious balcony opens up to offer stunning views of the snow-capped mountains.
Your dining space is comfortable and elegant with a large table that can easily accommodate your whole group. A well-equipped kitchen sits beside it, perfect for preparing meals for family and friends in good company. Breakfasts, however, are a time to focus on preparing for the day’s activities as the chalet’s staff will visit each morning to provide a beautiful breakfast ahead of your departure.
Spread across the property, Chalet Amelie features five en-suite bedrooms, each elegantly decorated with luxurious linens and modern amenities. Four bedrooms feature double beds, while the fifth is comprised of three singles - perfect for kids to bunk together.
For those looking to unwind after a long day on the slopes, Chalet Amelie features a delightful wellness area, complete with a hot tub and sauna, just for doing so. Additional amenities include a purpose-built home cinema, a laundry room, and a dedicated equipment storage room.
Location-wise, the chalet is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Courchevel, providing easy access to the resort's many shops, restaurants, and bars. The nearest ski lift is also just a short walk away, making it easy to hit the slopes and explore the vast ski area of the Three Valleys.
What you should know…
- If you’re planning on visiting the chalet with infants, please let us know at the point of booking so that the chalet staff can provide amenities such as cots and highchairs for you
- Children under the age of five are advised against using the hot tub and steam room, and older children should always be supervised when doing so

The Resort
Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.
The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.
With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.
In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChalet Amelie and the surrounding Courchevel resort are a fantastic pick for families looking for their next winter break. With a range of exciting activities for kids of all ages, Chalet Amelie has everything you need and more to make this the perfect family vacation.

Complimentary high-speed WiFi is also available throughout the property, perfect for kids who like to stay connected on their personal devices.
In the winter months, skiing is one of the most popular activities for kids in Courchevel, and Chalet Amelie is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the nearest ski lift, providing access to the expansive Three Valleys ski area. With slopes ranging from beginner-friendly to experts only, kids can easily design their own skiing experience while in the area. In addition to skiing, Courchevel offers a range of additional activities for kids to try, including ice skating, tobogganing, and dog sledding.
In the surrounding area, there are several options for kids to explore that don’t involve snow, such as the resort’s ice rink, and an indoor climbing centre. The resort also has several children's clubs and daycare options, providing adults with some free time to hit the slopes or enjoy some quality time together.
