Epitomising luxury living, Chalet Buse is a semi-detached five-bedroom chalet for ten guests. Located in the tranquil hamlet of Raffort, it’s nestled in the valley of Les Allues — one of the largest and most sought-after ski areas in the world. It’s surrounded by jaw-dropping views of Mont Vallon. Enjoy a myriad of rolling slopes, which are accessible from the chalet by the Olympus gondola lift or free shuttle service.

The chalet combines the robust charm of an Alpine ski cabin with modern luxury living. Its wood and stone architecture blends perfectly with the surroundings, making you feel like a part of nature. Kids can directly access the sprawling outdoor area and play around freely.

The living room is bright and sumptuous, with glistening wooden furniture, elegant couches and a fireplace. Large French windows allow abundant natural light.

Enjoy cosy meals at the large dining table. If you’re travelling with toddlers, you can request highchairs from the staff. The kitchen is spacious and fully furnished, with glossy countertops and wooden cabinetry.

Pamper yourself in the glossy bathtub and sauna. The chalet has a ski room, kitted with a ski cupboard and boot warmer. There is ample parking space.

All five bedrooms are bright and airy. A twin bedroom is located on the ground floor, with two single beds, an en-suite bathroom and balcony access. There are three bedrooms on the second floor. The chalet is located in Meribel, a wildly coveted ski resort in the Valley of Allues. With over 600 kilometres of tree-lined pistes, it is hailed as one of the largest ski areas in the world. Skiing enthusiasts will enjoy the long, uninterrupted slopes of Mont Vallon, the Plattieres, the Tougnete and the Saulire. High-powered, ultra-modern ski lifts allow easy transportation back and forth.

Cocooned in the foot of Raffort village, the chalet has easy connection to chic boutiques, gastronomical adventures, magical fireworks and trendy nightspots.  Winter sports aficionados are in for a treat, with exciting activities like snowshoeing, husky sledging and heliskiing.

Non-skiers can explore 25 kms of spectacular hiking trails across the valley. Witness charming villages, frozen lakes and majestic peaks. Post 3 pm every day, enjoy dazzling cabaret acts, singing performances and dancers in extravagant costumes at La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel.

Meribel Village is a quaint, enchanting hamlet, slightly removed from Meribel Centre. Visit its rustic chapel and feel like you have stepped into the pages of history. The village square is a township unto itself, with a free car parking, supermarket, bakery, sports shop and two restaurants. Enjoy traditional Savoyard cuisine and French gourmet at these.

The Resort

Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.

At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.

The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.

Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

The chalet promises a memorable time for kids. They can build snowmen, play-fight with snowballs and indulge in a variety of activities like hiking, horse riding and cycling. After a long day outdoors, they can watch their favourite cartoons in the TV lounge or spend hours playing board games. Treat them to warm bubble baths in the luxurious tub. If you wish to arrange for highchairs or baby cots, our staff will be happy to help.

The chalet is at a striking distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. Meribel is a joy land for the entire family, with many activities specially designed for kids. Alternatively, take a memorable hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and jagged peaks at Courchevel Altiport, which is about 45 mins by car from Meribel Centre.
