Chalet Chanson is a warm and inviting six bedroom semi-detached alpine chalet with modern amenities perfect for larger families and groups of friends. Surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Chamonix Valley and enjoying close proximity to some of the most spectacular skiing terrain in Europe, this is the ideal spot to enjoy Alpine living at it best.
The property features flexible living on three levels. The open living space on the ground floor oozes warmth and comfort, large squashy sofas, a wood burning fire, toasty underfloor heating, open beams and warm woods make it the perfect retreat to kick back and relax, cooking is going to be fun in the open kitchen equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, induction hob, fridge, kettle and coffee machine. Serve up hearty feasts with stunning views at the comfortable wooden dining table. There is an additional snug area on the mezzanine where you snuggle up on beanbags and watch TV.
The inviting king sized master bedroom is located on the ground floor and enjoys an en-suite with a bath tub and shower.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, 2 simple but stylish double bedrooms, one enjoying balcony access. The third bedroom is flexible with two single beds that can easily convert to a double bed. There is a full family bathroom upstairs with both bathtub and shower. Downstairs in the basement are two further bedrooms one a gorgeous double with wonderful views and a compact and cosy single bedroom, the basement houses a convenient modern shower room and a wonderful Sauna perfect to relax and revitalize.
Chalet Chanson includes an underground garage for 2 cars, boot driers, laundry facilities free Wi-Fi and ample ski storage.

On the boarder of the hamlets of Les Grassonnets and Les Chosalets, Chalet Chanson commands stunning views at its tranquil location. Quiet and serene. It is only 3 minutes’ drive to the Grand Montets ski lift. A short drive takes you into the heart of Argentiere a charming authentic mountain village with several local restaurants, cafes and patisseries, a wonderful ski school and all the essential shops you should need. The unforgettable après-ski scene at Chamonix town is only 12 minutes’ drive away.

Novice and intermediate skiers can enjoy training slopes in Chamonix, while beginners will find the large upper plateau of Les Houches perfect for their introduction to skiing.
The skiing experience at Les Grands Montets spans three distinctive zones, from the lower mountain area between Argentière Village and the Lognan main station to the mixed alpine terrain and the steeper alpine terrain, including the Argentière glacier. The upper skiing areas, located on a glacier, provide a breathtaking view from the top lift station.
With 8 main lifts, 2 gondolas, 2 cable cars, and 4 chair lifts, the skiing options are diverse, featuring 4 black runs, 13 red runs, 8 blues, and 2 green runs.

The Resort
Chamonix is often preceded by its own reputation. As one of the most famous ski resorts in the world, it has visitors travelling from all corners of the world to experience the epic runs year after year. The Chamonix town centre, also known as Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, is an endlessly inviting little city with enough going on to entertain skiers and non-skiers alike for weeks on end. For those travelling from the UK, it is fabulously easy to reach. You can drive straight from Calais by motorway and be set up in a gorgeous chalet in less than half a day.
The Chamonix Valley encompasses five main ski areas on four different mountains (with easy transfers in between). You can get yourself a single-resort lift pass or one that encompasses the whole valley. If you go with the latter option you’ll even have access to the Italian side of the valley in Courmayeur. The wider area encompasses 106 pistes at up to 3842m altitude and unparalleled off-piste runs.
Most of Chamonix’s ski areas are best suited to those who already feel at home on a pair of skis. Beginners definitely won’t get as much out of this valley as those who are comfortable tackling a black run. But that’s not saying Chamonix is unromantic by any means. There is incredible scenery for everyone to enjoy, from non-skiers to experts, and nature lovers will fall in love with the Chamonix in summer too. Ski season, however, often lasts until mid-March.
Once the skiing is over at the end of the day you’ll still find plenty to keep you occupied in town. There is an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from, ranging from Michelin starred fine dining to street food that will line your stomach for the après-ski (and rest assured there are dozens of great bars and clubs to choose from!)
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChamonix is an outstanding destination offering many activities for families, both in winter and summer. The ski resort boasts slopes suitable for all levels of skiers, complemented by excellent facilities for children. In addition to the winter wonderland, Chamonix transforms into a summer paradise with an array of exciting activities for kids.
Indoor activities are also available all-year. The sports centre offers ice skating and a swimming pool with a fun zone, including slides, rapids, and massaging jets. For a cultural experience, the Alpine Museum showcases the history of the Chamonix Valley, perfect for budding pioneers eager to learn about the beginnings of mountaineering and the first ascent of Mont Blanc.
If it's time to unwind, the Cinema Vox, Chamonix's multiscreen cinema, provides the latest blockbusters, with many films available in English. Chamonix truly becomes a year-round haven for families, ensuring that every season offers exciting adventures and unforgettable moments.
Winter
For the younger ones who are not yet ready for skiing, Chamonix offers delightful options. Toddlers can experience a taste of downhill excitement on the small slopes behind the tennis court or near the cross-country tracks. Sledging is also a summer delight, with dedicated slopes at Les Planards or the top of Prarion in Les Houches. Many ski hire shops provide sledges for sale or rent.
For an unforgettable experience, consider a husky ride, available every Wednesday (subject to snow conditions). Children from 8 years old can learn to drive their own sledge, while younger ones can enjoy the ride as passengers. Due to its popularity, advance booking is recommended.
Summer
During the summer months, Chamonix continues to cater to children of all ages. Several specialized summer camps and adventure programs are available, providing engaging activities such as rock climbing, hiking, and nature exploration. These programs offer half or full-day options, with childcare services and meals available for added convenience.
Chamonix's Alpine Coaster is a highlight for summer fun. Kids as young as 3 can enjoy the luge along the 1300m track at the Les Planards area. Unaccompanied rides are permitted from 7 years old, making it a thrilling adventure for the young ones.
Summer in Chamonix also offers unique adventures like Paret sledging for children aged 12 and above. Additionally, older kids can embark on a Deluxe Igloo and Fondue Adventure, featuring a 3km sledging track and a snowshoe hike to a real snow igloo for a traditional cheese fondue.
Educational opportunities abound in Chamonix during the summer. Families can explore France's largest glacier by taking the red cog Montenvers train to the historic station at the top. The journey unveils breathtaking views of the Mer de Glace glacier. Don't miss the ice cave carved into the glacier or the glaciorium and crystal gallery.
