This modern, family-owned 4-bedroom chalet enjoys majestic views towards Mont Blanc. It’s lovely to be able to stroll to the restaurants, bars and shops of Combloux, a pretty village just a short drive from Megève and Lac de Passy.
A welcoming winter or summer home, Chalet Breeze can host up to 8 guests across its modern and stylish interiors. The contemporary living and dining space on the first floor has been designed to make the most of the mountain scenery and doors slide open to the picture-perfect balcony with village and alpine views, a gorgeous spot at any time of year.
There are three attractive bedrooms with queen-size doubles across the ground and first floor, alongside a family bathroom and shower room. On an upper mezzanine level overlooking the lounge below, delightful twin beds are tucked beneath the eaves alongside a little area with a sofa and desk.
It’s wonderful to have the garden space surrounding the chalet, just right for a game of summer badminton, pétanque, table tennis or winter snowballs of course. Meanwhile, the traditional Savoyard village of Combloux is charming at any time of year with its restaurants, bars, boulangerie and grocery store.
For more sight-seeing or skiing, head to the cosmopolitan town of Chamonix around 30km away or stay closer to home and admire the spectacular mountain vistas as you ride on the Mont-Blanc tramway from nearby Saint-Gervais-les-Bains.
The chalet is available year-round, but facilities, property and local amenities may vary depending upon season.
Winter | Ski Chalet
December - April
Chalet Breeze is a fantastic winter getaway for families or groups of friends. The ski bus stop is 650m away and there are some fantastic pistes for all abilities within a short distance around Combloux and Megève, part of the popular Évasion Mont Blanc skiing area. Les Portes du Mont Blanc features green and blue slopes as well as more challenging pistes whilst snow-shoe hikes, dog-sledding and sledging are all just a short drive away. A little further afield, experience the family-friendly resort of Les Houches alongside cosmopolitan Chamonix, both superb spots for skiing. Return to your inviting family home for an apéritif my the contemporary fireplace as children hideaway in the play area upstairs. Gather for delicious feasts in the light-filled dining space overlooking the village houses and snowy mountains beyond.
Summer | Alpine Chalet
July - August
Once the snow disappears, there’s a sense of nature at Chalet Breeze with a wild stream and little bridge behind the chalet and space to play badminton and table tennis outside. All of this and it’s just a short stroll to the village centre as well as the beautiful Plan d'eau Biotope where you can swim in a natural environment overlooking wildflowers and mountains (June to September). Meanwhile, enjoy summer hiking routes and mountain biking through the magnificent landscapes or experience canyoning, rafting, para-gliding, golf and further adventures across the region. Lac de Passy is only 9km away, a summer gem with a lakeside beach, seasonal watersports, tree-top adventures and a wealth of other activities. At the end of a busy day, soak up the fresh mountain air from your long balcony with glorious views towards the Alpine peaks.

- A little stream runs through the garden – youngsters will need to be supervised.

Location
About the surrounding area of Chalet BreezeA 10-minute drive from Megève, Chalet Breeze (950m altitude) is in the village of Combloux, a superb base for skiing and winter sports alongside summer hiking, lake swimming and other outdoor adventures. Geneva Airport is just over an hour away whilst the nearest train station is Sallanches-Combloux-Megève (5.5km) or Saint Gervais (10km).
This is a great setting for guests looking to be within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Combloux whilst also being within easy reach of the excellent skiing of the Évasion Mont-Blanc area. Not to mention summer hiking/biking and other mountain and lakeside activities.
Soak up the Savoyard charm of Combloux, a pretty mountain village and ski resort overlooking Mont Blanc. Enjoy the charming bars and restaurants as well as a boulangerie, butchers, pharmacy and small supermarket. For further amenities, Sallanches is only 7km away.
In the summer (around June to September) you can stroll ten minutes to the village’s biotope lake for natural swimming with idyllic vistas (due to restricted numbers, it is worth reserving in high season). Furthermore, ask at the Combloux tourist office for details on hiking, cycling and mountain biking across the area.
There are more summer lakeside activities at Lac de Passy (8.5km) including seasonal watersports, mini-golf, go-karting, tree-top adventures, fishing and supervised swimming. Alternatively, make the most of lakeside nature walks, picnics and relaxing on its sandy beach.
For skiing you can access the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area from Combloux and the ski bus stop is 650m away. Les Portes du Mont Blanc offers a good choice of green and blue pistes as well as more challenging slopes. Meanwhile, within a short drive look out for snow-shoe hikes (including some family-friendly routes), dog-sledding as well as family sledging in Megève.
Indeed, the skiing resorts of Megève and Saint Gervais are within easy reach whilst family-friendly Les Houches (23km) and cosmopolitan Chamonix (30km) are superb spots for skiing as well as summer hiking, mountain biking and Alpine sight-seeing.
Outdoor adventurists also note that canyoning, river rafting, canoeing and para-gliding are popular pursuits across the region. For gentler times, play golf at Golf du Mont d'Arbois (8km) or Chamonix Golf Club (32km) or enjoy the scenery as you ride on the wonderful Mont-Blanc tramway departing from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (10km).

Best Suited For: All AgesChalet Breeze is a family-owned home in the pretty village of Combloux. It is lovely to be able to walk to local restaurants and shops, then return home to play on the PS5 or make the most of the board games. If staying with babies/toddlers, you can request a highchair, cot and changing mat.
Winter
Perfect for a winter stay in the Évasion Mont Blanc skiing area, Chalet Breeze welcomes you to its light-filled warm interiors and cosy bedrooms. You are just short walk from the village and ski bus stop - the skiing area around Combloux is good for beginners with a range of green and blue pistes as well as more challenging slopes. Furthermore, look out for the toboggan runs and sledging in Megève as well as family-friendly snow-shoe hikes and dog-sledding within a short drive.
Summer
The views are gorgeous from Chalet Breeze’s balcony even once the snow has melted. In the summer enjoy table tennis, badminton and pétanque in the garden (with a stream and little bridge). On the edge of the village there is a small playground and a pump track for young mountain bikers (there are plenty of more challenging mountain biking trails across the area too). Around a 10-minute walk away discover the Plan d'eau Biotope where you can swim in natural surroundings with glorious mountain and wildflower views (book ahead in high season due to restricted numbers).
For something slightly different, drive to La Ferme Les Montagnards, a charming farm where you can meet animals and learn all about cheese production. A little further afield is the wonderful Lac de Passy, a paradise for families in the summer with lake swimming, picnic areas, walking and cycling routes, mini-golf, play areas, inflatables (both on the lake and park), tree-top adventures and go-karting as well as seasonal watersports and boat hire.
