Whether swimming in the beautiful pool overlooking the summery Alpine landscapes, admiring the snowy mountain views from the Nordic hot tub or skiing near Saint-Gervais-les-Bain with vistas of Mont Blanc, Chalet Charms is a stunning holiday home welcoming 11 guests and three additional children.
An inviting chalet for any time of year, immerse yourself in the idyllic natural surroundings of this special abode. The valley and mountain views are wonderful from the open-plan living space with its large sofas, pull-down cinema screen, central fireplace and doors opening to the wrap-around terrace for al-fresco dining or just admiring the landscapes with a warm drink.
The hand-crafted kitchen will impress the keenest of cooks – pick up delicious produce from Saint-Gervais-les-Bain’s lovely shops and market – whilst the dining area offers ample space for family and friends to enjoy Savoyard feasts together. Guests will also love the mezzanine reading area and it is worth noting that the Wi-Fi strength is boosted on every floor.
Across the three-storey home, the five bedrooms are on the upper and lower floors. The spacious master en suite bedroom upstairs opens out to a balcony and there is a triple en suite bedroom next door beneath the eaves. Downstairs you will find two en suite bedrooms with king-size beds (can be split into twins) alongside a sweet little bedroom with two sets of bunk-beds sleeping five, not far from a family shower room and the sauna.
Chalet Charms is set in a little hamlet (see the ‘Need to Know’ about the best way to access the chalet by car) near Les Contamines and Saint-Gervais-les-Bain, both charming Alpine villages with rich heritage, restaurants, lovely shops and a weekly market. Take a trip on the Tramway du Mont Blanc for more exhilarating landscapes at any time of year and experience the thermal waters of Les Thermes De Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc.
The chalet is available year-round, but facilities, property and local amenities may vary depending upon season.
Winter | Ski Chalet
December - April
The Nordic hot-tub is one of the great attractions of Chalet Charms during the winter months – after a day out skiing around Les Contamines and Saint-Gervais-les-Bain area, relax back and take in the magnificent Alpine views. There is plenty of room to store your skis as well as a heated boot rack, then kick back in the open-plan living space as you warm up by the fire and even watch a film on the pull-down screen. Prepare delicious Savoyard meals in the handcrafted kitchen to enjoy on the dining table overlooking the mountains, then enjoy a game of chess and glass of good French wine or perhaps you would prefer to retire to the luxurious sauna.
Summer | Alpine Chalet
July - August
There are summer hikes on your doorstep at Chalet Chams including a much-loved trail to a nearby waterfall. Refuel back at your holiday chalet with a grand lunch on the covered balcony before cooling off in your very own swimming pool overlooking the glorious Alpine landscapes. For further adventures, enjoy wonderful walking and hiking trails, mountain biking, horse-riding and tree-top trails alongside a range of lakeside activities at Lac de Passy, less than half an hour by car.
