Bright blue skies and the gentle mountain breeze will draw you outside to the apartment’s sunny balcony each morning, where you can sip a freshly brewed cup of coffee as you relax on the casual outdoor furniture and take in the enchanting views. Guests will find a bright and airy open-plan living space inside the apartment with high, vaulted ceilings and large windows. Here, a cosy lounge area features understated décor and a contemporary fireplace, inviting guests to curl up and unwind after a day spent outdoors in the fresh air. A fully equipped kitchen provides a range of modern appliances, while the adjacent dining area offers the perfect place for everyone to gather together and discuss the day’s adventures over a delicious meal.
The lower level of Apartment Steer features two double bedrooms, both of which offer guests a warm and restful atmosphere. One of the double bedrooms also offers a well-appointed en-suite bathroom with a shower. The apartment features a comfortable cabin bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. On the upper level of the apartment, guests will find a cute and cosy lounge area with a TV and a bedroom with twin beds and a double truckle bed, making this the ideal space for younger visitors. This bedroom also offers an en-suite bathroom with a shower, while downstairs, there is a shared family bathroom and a convenient ski storage room with a warmer for ski boots.

Located right at the heart of the stunning Portes du Soleil ski area, Morzine is known for its arresting mountain vistas, bustling shops and restaurants, old-world charm and exceptional outdoor facilities. The town is part of the vast Portes du Soleil network, encompassing twelve interconnected ski resorts. Here, skiers and snowboarders can spend sunny afternoons roaming between Morzine, Châtel and Switzerland, with over 600km of slopes to suit all levels of experience.
The Télécabine de Super Morzine is located just 450m away from Apartment Steer, offering spectacular panoramic views and direct access to Avoriaz. For young families, there are nursery slopes available in the centre of Morzine, while intermediate and advanced skiers can make the most of a variety of exciting blue and red runs. Morzine is also home to roughly 50km of cross-country trails. There are plenty of fantastic green and blue slopes around Avoriaz, where novice skiers can spend the day progressing at their own pace.
Foodies will be thrilled to find a wide array of fabulous French and Swiss restaurants dotted across Morzine and the surrounding resorts.Morzine offers many après-ski options for visitors to enjoy, ranging from cosy mountain inns to lively bars in the heart of the town centre. For something a little different, indoor activities such as spa treatments and wine tastings make for indulgent and memorable evening experiences.
During the summer months, Morzine becomes a green paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. When warmer weather arrives, hundreds of goats roam the streets of the quaint Alpine village of Les Lindarets, in place of all the winter sports enthusiasts! Afterwards, visit the emerald waters of Lake Montriond, with its backdrop of immense cliffs and verdant woodlands. Enjoy a serene swim, an afternoon of water sports or a picnic in the sun here before cycling to the cascading waters of the Brochaux Waterfall. Specialist ski schools in the town offer first-time skiing lessons to children ages three years and older, with experienced childcare professionals available upon request before and after each lesson. Kids’ clubs provide various activities, while toddlers can enjoy the powder-soft snow of the town’s gentlest slopes.
Nestled within the magical Proclou forest, Lil’Stash is an eco-friendly snow park in nearby Avoriaz. With enchanting huts tucked away in the treetops, suspension bridges, adventure trails, sculptures and much more, this is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon exploring. You may even spot Shreddie, the friendly yeti who lives in the park! If you wish to combine your visit with some time on the slopes, the Proclou green slope is a wide piste for beginners, with a family-friendly area arranged on one side. Gas barbecues are provided within the snow park for those who wish to enjoy a scenic picnic in the forest.
Warmer weather also brings a wealth of outdoor activities for children to enjoy in the French Alps. Younger visitors will be amazed by the stunning natural beauty of Lake Montriond, where they can enjoy swimming, paddling and canoeing to their hearts’ content, as well as plenty of activities on dry land, including pony riding experiences and mini golf. Later on, make your way home to Apartment Steer in time to enjoy the sunset from the terrace, before snuggling up in front of the warm glow of the fire!
